Hopefully, the reason why she doesn't talk about them is to keep them private. The celeb life can get really intrusive when all the media waale and fans begin stalking you in the effort to get any and every piece of information on you.

I don't think you are being negative, but this is something another celebrity [Samantha Akkineni] had said when the topic of her family was brought up. She married a celebrity, and his family is very social media friendly (hence she frequently tags and celebrates with his family members), causing many people to question why she is not wishing her side of the family in a public manner.

She mentioned that she pursued acting as that was her passion. Her family did not ask for any of this, and they even mentioned they would like to live normal lives, not as Samantha's brothers, but just as normal men. So, she takes great care to not tag them in photos and the like. That doesn't mean she doesn't celebrate with them... she still does, it's just that she respects that media can be quite harsh and judgmental.

As per Kanwar's posts, Alice has faced a lot of struggles in life. Going through her Instagram, I don't doubt it at all. She started her career with modeling, and then she was cast in Suryaputra Karn. Afterwards, she had a gap... whether it was due to her education or whether it was due to no offers. Regardless, as a gray character in Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, she probably was criticized (unfortunately), and as an older sibling, I would not want to drag my sibling into that mess if he didn't want to be in the spotlight.

I'm sure she celebrates everything with her family, just in a much more closed affair. I haven't seen her in Kinshuk's Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations or at KD's house on that day, so I am guessing she celebrated with her friends/family.

Not sure what the reason for changing surnames might be.. it might be a private family matter, or because someone must have told her that it would be lucky for her int he industry! Many stars have done these things based on numerology and such

Her not revealing about her family might most probably be just to protect their privacy! She sounds like a guarded, reserved person who would want to stay away from the limelight, and not be in the news for any reason apart from her work.
