Now that Rishita is pissed with Raavi, this thing came to my mind right after the Raavi Rishita scene happened, I'm 100% sure we'll never get this but what's the loss imagining..
Disclaimer-It was just a small idea but turned into a long os, I'm not a very good writer and it may not be the best but do give this a tryđđ
Rishita is already frustrated at the room kaand that happens everyday then she sees Dev and Raavi laughing over something, that pours oil to her already burning anger. She sees Raavi alone in the kitchen.
Rishita - Kya baat kar rahi thi tum mere Dev se?
Raavi - Woh Rishita, Krish na dewaar banate waqt apne upar paani girali thi, aur woh bachpan se aise hi pagalpan karta tha.. (she said while giggling)
Rishita - Accha, har baar tum Dev ke saath hi kyun hasti phirti ho? Karna kya chahti ho? She asked angrily
Raavi - Tum galat samajh rahi ho Rishita, aisa kuch bhi nahi hai, aur rahi baat Shiva ki, woh bhi pillar ke peeche khada tha woh bhi has raha tha. She tried explaining
Rishita - Oh please, main jaanti hoon ki tum kya karna chahti ho. Dev ke saamne mujhe villain banake khudh heroine banna chahti ho.. Shiva sahi kehta hai, tum jaise dekhti ho uss se zyaada khatarnaak ho.. She continued yelling at her, clearly pouring out all her frustration and insecurities. She kept taunting about Dev and Raavi's friendship and how even Shiva agrees she's stupid.
Raavi was heartbroken because it was the same Rishita who was okay with what was written in her diary.. She locks herself in her room and doesn't come for food as well, when Shiva had come to check on her, she pretended to sleep..
The next day, early in the morning, she reaches Prafulla's house and thinks of opening up to her but Prafulla starts taunting the pandya family even before she starts talking.. Raavi realises that it's of no use, she felt so lonely and sad that she had no one to talk to, she wanted to talk to her Dhara di but she was already preoccupied with so many things, also she had warned her to not pour out her anger unnecessarily. The storm inside Raavi was killing her, she wanted to scream to the world that she was not what people label her. She wanted to cry on someone's arms, that's when she realised, she had no one who could patiently listen to her, she helplessly cried as she walked towards the door. She saw a 4 year old crying at something and her mom pacifying her. That scene melted her heart, she wished that her mom was there too. She doesn't even know how her mother looked like, all her life she had considered Prafulla like her mom, and Prafulla never gave much details about her parents as she didn't want her to feel like an orphan, she never argued as she was happy with her maasi ma and mausa pa but the recent happenings made her crave for love. She felt trapped somewhere, she had always learned to be happy with whatever she had but it wasn't helping her.
Suddenly she remembered something. She then searched for something around the whole house. She finally gets a bunch of keys in Prafulla's locker, those keys were of her parents house which they left after adopting Raavi and shifted permanently to Somnath. She has always heard of this house when she was younger, her maasi wanted to sell the house as it was in the main area of the city but her mousa paa always refused as that was the last memory of Raavi's parents and they would give it to Raavi when time comes. She saw the legal papers near the keys. It had the location of the house as well, she somehow managed to sneak out with it and informed Dhara that she was leaving for her friend's house. She reached her house after a lot of difficulties but thankfully the driver was patient enough and had taken her safely. The sun was setting and the whole place looked serene.. Her heart beat faster than ever when she stood infront of her house. There was a name plate that read Parikh Niwas. Her hands shivered as she tried opening the door, she somehow opened it and entered the house, she felt a sense of belongingness there, it was her first time there but it felt like it was always her place, the place was much neater and looked like it was maintained once a while. It was a big house, her parents had an upper middle class lifestyle..
She walked further to see a huge frame of a young married couple, that was it, that was her parents, she had never had a glimpse of them since childhood, right from the time she was with her maasi and mausa pa. Her parents looked like a happy married couple, she noticed that she looked a lot like her mother. Her heart was filled with both joy and sorrow looking at them.
As a teenager she always wanted her parents, she longed for them whenever they filled any forms from school, her mausi and mausa pa were her guardians and she knew it. She would sometimes ask about her parents to her maasi ma but she would always ask 'Kyun, tu mujhe maasi bulati hai toh kya main Teri maa nahi hoon?' She always melted at that and gave her a tight hug.
Gone are the days she would happily rant about her day to her maasi ma and she would be all ears, her diary was her next best friend which somehow caused a little bit of bitterness with Shiva.
The picture became blur as she realised her tears blurred her vision.
She wiped them and gave a huge smile and said
'Mumma, Paapa, main aapki Raavi'
She noticed that her dad was a very handsome man, her mom looked beautiful, now she knew why she was the most beautiful girl in Somnath. She kept walking as she saw different frames, of probably, her extended family. She didn't know who they were, but that felt like an exciting journey. She walked I one of the rooms and it had a big picture of her dad holding her pregnant mom's belly, it melted her heart seeing that.. she cried in happiness. She saw an almirah and opened it with excitement.. she noticed a small pink book designed with beads that read Raavi, she felt so special and loved though her parents were not there with her..
She saw some pretty saares of her mother and the collection mostly felt like her own choice of colours. She noticed about 6-7 diaries on the second shelf. Did her parents write diary too? She thought as she picked all of them and placed it on the study table nearby. Each diary had the year number and she opened the oldest one first, it was her dad's diary. The first page read Bharat Parikh, she had a wide smile reading it.. she took a deep breath and started reading...
It was almost 10 pm, Dhara was tensed as Raavi had not reached home yet. She called her as many times as she could but there was no response from her side. The 4 brothers reached home, washed their hands while Dhara enquired about Raavi's whereabouts..
Shiva was surprised but tried convincing Dhara that she'd be home in sometime. Dhara told about the failed phone calls and fear started creeping in Shiva's heart. He suddenly felt scared, is she in any kind of danger. He knew she was naive and to an extent she can be fooled faster, did any of the goons kidnap her? Is it Janardha's cheap plan? Thousands of thoughts crossed his mind and the next moment he knew he was searching for her in the whole Somnath with Gaumbi.
Raavi continued reading, it was so intriguing. Her father was a real hero, she learnt that her father belonged to very orthodox family, thousands of forced traditions and backward thoughts which he fought against. She learnt that her grandmother lived in an abusive marriage and couldnt do much against her husband which her dad never liked. The first diary was written when he had just begun his college, it had so much descriptions about his family. She was tired but the books were much more interesting, the second diary was were her mother was introduced. Her dad met her mother Leela in the second year of his college. Leela was his junior with whom he fell in love with. He had mentioned most of their conversations and Raavi enjoyed it the most, she went on to imagine them and it was so much fun. The third book was the continuation of their love story, the fourth book was all about them going against Bharat's family for marriage. After much struggle, Leela made a place for herself in his family, she learnt that her mother struggled in her in laws while she felt blessed to have Suman who loved her and treated her like a daughter. Her parents faced many issues there, they struggled financially, there was pressure for a child from their side of relatives, and some domestic issues which her mom fought rightfully. He had even penned down their fights and how they resolved it. He had written them all, but what caught her attention was the way he treated her mother, he was always proud of his wife, he treated her like a queen even in crisis, she laughed at her fate because she and Shiva never slept without fighting, her husband was even ready to trade her for a set of bangles....
It was 5 am in the morning, Gaumbi was tired, they searched everywhere possible but Raavi was nowhere to be found. Shiva's fear increased over time. He called her atleast a 100 times, he felt defeated, it filled a void in him, he felt as if someone was pricking his heart. He almost began crying. Gautam noticed t and tried to console him..
Shiva - Hum dono ke beech jhagda bhi nahi hua, maine uspe gussa bhi nahi kiya, kal bhi usne kuch theek se khaya bhi nahi, kahan hogi? Woh theek toh hogi na Gaumbi? I promise, woh jab waapas aayegi tab toh main jhagda nahi karunga. Usko nahi rulaaunga.. he said like a small child, fear and care was clearly visible in his voice.
Gaumbi and Shiva returned home to check of she had returned but were left disappointed.
Rishita was clearly scared because of it, Shiva noticed that, he asked
'Rishita bhabi, aapne Raavi ko kuch kaha?' He asked slowly but it sounded dangerous.
Rishita stammered and said they fought like every other day and there was nothing major..
Shiva - Agar usko kuch bhi hua toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga, he said and left to search for her, this time all alone.
Raavi continued reading the fifth book that mostly was about their mindset during struggles and some happy moments in between and then came the sixth book which was about Leela becoming pregnant after three years of their marriage. That day he had written how much happy they were. Raavi felt so happy, she had an earful smile reading, the whole book was all about Leela's pregnancy, how they spoke to Raavi and how she responded to them with slight kicks.. she read them with tears and felt so much loved and precious. She was suddenly reminded of the book she saw with her name, she took that out before reading the final book..
That book was written alternatively by both her mother and father. That book was all about their expectations on their child, they had written how they want their child to grow up, in a peaceful environment, the way they were going to shower their child with loads of love, how they wanted their child to live the life he/she truly desires. They wanted their child to be strong, just like it's parents. They had decided names for both a girl baby and a boy baby. They had decided the name Raavi, her name felt so special as she read that. That moment she blamed the fate for taking her parents away from her, had they been there she would have lived an entirely different life, a satisfactory one maybe..
She held that book so close to her heart as she cried..
She turned back and saw the last book, probably written just few days before their death. Her hands trembled as she didn't want that to end but she knew the reality. She opened the book and read a few more happy moments of her parents before her birth. She smiled at that.
The problem had started after her birth, Bharat's family didn't want a girl child and to an extent even tried for infanticide by taking her away from the hospital when her parents were asleep. She choked at that. Later, Leela and Bharat fought against the whole family and safeguarding their little Raavi. Bharat had quoted Leela words which said "My child is a born fighter, she'll fight against all odds and live a life she desires, she'll live and decide for herself" and that was the last line in the book...
She had no words, she closed the book and ran downstairs as fast as she could, she didn't know what to do..
Shiva searched for her like a mad man, he showed Raavi's picture and asked anyone and everyone nearby. He finally got hold of the taxi driver who had dropped Raavi in the nearby city. Thankfully the taxi driver knew the location as they spent a lot of time finding it. Shiva finally took a deep breath and followed the taxi.
Raavi cried and cried, her eyes turned red. She slowly got up and stared at the frame. She knelt infront of it and screamed her heart out..
Shiva thanked the driver and hurriedly opened the door, he had no idea whose house it was but he just wanted to see Raavi fit and fine. The moment he stepped in he knew something was wrong, he walked faster and saw Raavi sitting down. He was relieved, he finally felt as if he was alive. He walked closer slowly when Raavi spoke
Raavi - Mumma, main sabse badi loser hoon mumma. Main bilkul bhi waise nahi hoon jaise aapne chaha. Aap dono kitne strong hain, aur main, main toh Somnath ki sabse stupid ladki hoon mumma.
Main aap dono ke aadhe se expectations bhi poori nahi kar paayi. Shiva sahi kehta hai, main hoon pagal, gadhedi.. Dekho na ma, bachpan se mera toh sirf Shaadi karne ka sapna tha, kabhi bhi aap dono ke tarah independent nahi banna chaha, kabhi dum laga ke padhai nahi ki, kaam, future ke baare toh socha bhi nahi. Sirf apne banaye hue dreamland mein her rahi thi.. Isliye zindagi ne mujhe zor se dhakka maar diya..
Shiva stood frozen in his place, he didn't understand what was happening, why is she crying? Was she crying the whole night? Why she calling them mumma papa? He didn't understand a thing there. Raavi continued telling each of her complaints from childhood, she blurted them all, her loneliness, her crush on Dev, her fights with Shiva, Dhara di being her idol, her feeling betrayed on the dias, Shiva's hatred on her, the kidnap, life in haveli, Shiva coming home drunk to Rishita taunting her, she said them all. Shiva felt miserable, his hatred had blinded him from childhood, did he just hurt her for that maami. He felt stupid. He just wanted to hug her and say that he will definitely change for good, but something stopped him from going to her.
Raavi - Papa, kaash main yahan bohot pehle aati, shayad main apne zindagi main kuch toh dhang se karti. She stopped sobbing, calmed down and then looked up and said
'Ab nahi mumma papa, ab na main waise hi ladki banungi jaise aap chahte the, ek dum strong, apne decisions main khudh loongi, kisiko bhi mera faida uthane nahi doing, it's a promise' She said determined.
Shiva had already teared up, Raavi stood up and wiped her face and saw that her phone was ringing, she turned to see Shiva standing infront of her.
Shiva quickly wiped his tears, and said - Woh, tu kal ghar waapas nahi aayi toh....
Raavi realised its been very long that she was there, but it gave her a much needed peace and determination. She quickly mumbled a sorry and asked him to wait outside. He quietly obeyed and stood outside near his bike.
Raavi took two of the diaries and some of her parents clothes, and a small photo frame and packed them I her bag and left with Shiva to Somnath. Their journey was filled with silence, Shiva realised that it was Raavi's maternal house as he noticed that the lady in the picture resembled Raavi. But he remained quite to not disturb Raavi. Raavi felt fresh and relieved. It started drizzling and they were just two lanes away from home. Raavi wanted to walk, Shiva tried to refuse as he didn't want her to drench but gave in when she insisted. They walked while Raavi spoke - Tum ne jo pictures dekhe the, woh dono mere mumma papa hain. Aur main kal shaam se wahi thi.
Shiva nodded.
Raavi - Wahan, maine bohut kuch jaana hai, specially yeh ki ek shaadi mein dono pati patni ek hote hain. Ek zyaada ek kam nahi hota. Aur ek acchi shaadi nibhane ke liye, sab kuch baat karke saath mein solve karna padta hai. She suddenly stopped and Shiva turned at her, Dekh Shiva, mere dil me Dev ke liye kich nahi hai, aur jo diary tune padha, woh maine jala diya aur apne ateet ko bhi. Ab Dev sirf mere jeth hai, lekin tu mera pati. Aage hum apna jhagda kam karenge aur har problem ko theek se baat karke solve karenge. Aur haan, mujhe in masalon ke smell se koi problem but nahi hai, room freshener ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Hum dono jaise the waise hi rahenge lekin bina jhagde kabhi kabhi baat karne bhi seekhenge.. She said and he continued nodding. She smiled as they continued walking in the rain enjoying it. They finally reached home and Shiva said - Itni si lecture dene ke liye, ek raat gayab hogayi aur ab baarish mein bhi bhigadi, pehle kahi jaane se pehle please bata ke jaa, jaan nikal gayi thi.
Raavi - Next time se Pakka!!
Shiva smiled at that.
