Rishita speaks about freedom, alone time with her husband, not able to adjust much in a joint family setting and finance being controlled by Dhara and Gautam (which I think is not fair when all of them working really hard, especially Shiva), is looking to start an andolan. How exactly this modern thinking girl improve her mother's life😕 She is being controlled by her husband and SIL and has no say whatsoever.
Even though Janu is the villain in the OG but not aggressive as here, his wife, Meena's mom spoke against him, many times has supported Jeeva's family against her own husband. I think Kalyani in the OG is not a crybaby and has a backbone to defend herself.
I have told you all before that I grew up in a joint family until I was married off. With my parents being eldest son and bahu of the house had to go through some difficult times with respect to relationships, constant taunts from others. We are 3 daughters, fought for our parents rights even in the conservative setting back in the 90s and have been pillar of support and supported our parents against anybody who raised against them or said a word or two.
Can I expect Rishita to set her Mom's life right? Is it too much to ask?😕
