Yup Family Man season 1 was so good! Season 2 they went overboard with the violence part. But the acting was top notch! Both Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha were just amazing!!

Delhi Crime was probably the only show where I felt so helpless and miserable looking at the atrocities against women!! Its a good show but there are a few scenes which won’t let you sleep for nights! My husband couldn’t sleep as well it was that scary and thought provoking! 😭

I'm thinking they see TRPs and as of late Twitter/Instagram trends. Word of mouth is the best way to get viewers, and if #ShiVi makes Twitter trends, people will begin to watch just to see what's so interesting about the show. I'm thinking even Hotstar views are beginning to count somewhat...

Plus, I don't know if you watch Bigg Boss, but Oviya (Tamil) and Kaushal (Telugu) made absolute waves on social media. I didn't follow Bigg Boss Tamil for Oviya, but Bigg Boss Telugu for Kaushal was a next level craze due to Twitter trends... people marched for Kaushal, multiple times, and TRPs were at all time highs because people tuned in just to see what the Twitter ruckus was about. It was a crazy season 😆

Yeah you are right about this. I don't use twitter but I hope twitter trends continue but they should include sensible things also.

I would be thrilled if #stopromanticizingmanhandling trends tagging not only PH for PS but every big PH in ITV

As you said, season 1 was really good and season 2 was good as well except for this one segment. Never thought Samantha would be part of this. She is still a sought after actress in Tamil/Telugu movie industry. But for her to do a web series at this stage of her career is indeed commendable. Samantha has come a long way from where she started.

As for Manoj Bajpayee, have been watching him since Satya days, he always gives his best.

The thing with this shows trp is that someone said it on this forum that the show before ps has low trp so ps is able to achieve a huge gain in trp in the half hour it airs. A lot of high trp shows benefit from equally high trp shows airing before it but ps does now have that luxury so it seems to have attained a set audience at this time slot.

Quite some years ago, I watched a K-drama with an ensemble cast. I don't remember the title (as it popped up on my YouTube suggestions), but I enjoyed watching every second of it! The storyline was similar to PS in that it described the life of the family. However, this family only interacted during lunch/dinner. So, each character had their own story arc. The father and mother took care of the family business, the oldest child had an office romance that was reciprocated, the middle child had a school love-hate romance, and the youngest child was worried about school + makeup. However, whenever a character ran into trouble, a family member would enter into their story arc and do what they can to fix the relationship. Case in point, the oldest child helped the middle child's romance by inviting out the couple on a date and *strategically* left afterwards because they were busy.

Wish Pandya Store was set up in the same general format with each character getting their own specific character arc. It would greatly help diverse the stories, and it might give the CVs a break as it wouldn't have to be Dhara or Shiva centric.
