Hi Guys,

Just curious to see what everyone thought of this episode.

For me, I loved it.

My heart breaks for Raavi. What Shiva did was absolutely wrong. No one has right to put someone else's respect up for gamble/trade. Let alone a Man of his wife. It was wrong when Yudhistir did it with Draupadi in Mahabharat, and it's just as wrong here. My heart truly goes out to Raavi. I hope she makes him realize how little he made her feel by putting a value to her life and amke Shiva earn the forgiveness. And I want Shiva to repent for it. Sincerely hope the makers give us something beautiful from this track for character and relationship growth, and it's not swept under the rug. The stage is set for some painfully beautiful episodes. Makers just need to grab the opportunity!

Not only that, but I also loved it for everything else up until that scene. The family's joy at things seemingly being fine after a long time, learning the significance of Kanagans for Shiva (Dad's last gift for their Mom), and KD's acting in that scene. Loved Anita-Raavi's scene, Rishita bits, and Dev confiding in Shiva. It was all well done. And the end was just as painful. But it had to happen at one point (Shiva fighting tooth and nail for Kanagans and not putting Raavi's self-respect on the line), and there's no better time then at this juncture of their relationship. I am excited to see the next episode.

I think its a much needed episode for ShiVi to progress. ShiVi cannot move ahead with the kangan issue taking precedence in their lives. They need to end it once and for all and move on in life together . I think we might even get Raavi’s breakdown scene with everyone abandoning her in life. Thats when Shiva might realize that what he did was totally wrong. All in all the episode was well-paced, good acting, good dialogues!

Plus there are a lot of unanswered questions regarding the property and money.. So I think we should just wait and watch for this mystery to unfold!

The second option. We needed this for ShiVi to think about this marriage separately from the family, and I hope we finally get it. I'm eager to see how they come back together and decide to give their marriage a chance after resolving the issues between them.

The episode was fast paced and well acted! I can't wait for the full reveal of the money and property issue, and maami being in possession of the money bag

Second option. They definitely needed something of this sort to sort out alot of the issues the families have had since the four were younger. Not only the kangan but much more. There is bitterness from Gautam being left on the mandap, the money for the store, the kangans and also the fact that she doesn't leave one chance to taunt any of the family.

Raavi though is stuck in between needs to realise that she is separate. Shiva has started understanding that and is making an effort. (Not that it was right for him to involve her in all this after mami tried hinting at it but I'm still deciding on how i feel about it)

I quite liked it for the stortelling. Every time he sees the kangan with mami, it reminds him of his lost childhood and the bitter past. He needs to resolve it once and for all to move forward in his life, with or without Raavi.

For Raavi, yea, I feel bad that for every time she chose to stay with Shiva, he's ready to leave her if it means an end to this kangan nightmare. Jisse bhi woh apni duniya manti hai, woh hi chod dete hai, first by Dev and now Shiva. She'll again have to deal with the pain of not being that person's duniya.

I'm looking forward to see how they choose to grow from this and come together

I am disappointed. Utterly disappointed for Shiva had no right to use Raavi like that. Nothing can justify his actions, and not just what he did today, but his manhandling habits and his unjust hatred towards Raavi as well.

Thank you both for your POVs. Considering I chose opinion #2, it was good to hear your perspectives and seems like a lot of people shared it. Would have loved to hear their thoughts as well.

What exactly is the significance of the kangan ? Suman giving so much gyan to prafulla ke kangan apne saath leke jayegi marke, holds true for her also. Why is the kangan so imp to Shiva? It's just a commodity , and he tried to trade it off for raavi..n suman is trying to justify everything by saying Shiva was provoked and later dhara is justifying that his intentions are good....Just as dhara was provoked to beat up Shiva and krishn under the garb of good intentions.

I am not supporting mami here but she is right in dowry case , police and divorce . In a way Shiva gave her an opportunity to do this.

Imo this whole kangan drama lost steam the moment he tried to trade it with raavi. Itna dumbness wasn't expected from Shiva. Abhi Shiva ko kangan mil gayr so what ? Raavis self respect won't come bk.

Is this progress or back to square one ? The bitterness will always stay , mami won't change.. raavi will always be sandwiched. I feel sad that mami got upper hand due to shivas stupid actions.

I am going to answer your last question first. I think this will be the beginning of his journey towards learning to see Raavi for who she is, and respecting her as a woman (separate from Mami) and his wife. Or so I hope. If that's the case, it's a progress. Otherwise, square 1.

Agreed everything on what you said about bringing Raavi in between and that's why I loved all of Raavi's dialogues. I felt it's pivotal at this juncture of their relationship.

One thing, I will beg to differ on is on it being like dowry case. I personally don't think so. In Dowry, the groom feels entitled togifts because he's marrying the daughter. Here, Shiva's not acting entitled. He's rightfully asking Mami to return what's theirs from the start (again Raavi part is not justifiable, but think he will realize his crime of that comparison. So will hold my judgement for now). If she cals the police and it goes to court, it may rule in the family's favor as she stole it with deception.

And Suman's dialogue to Mami doesn't really apply to them- at least the way I see it. You're right for us, including Suman, it's a commodity. For Mami it's her zidd to satisfy her ego, bit for Shiva it's his dad's last loving gift for his mom. I have recently lost 4 loved ones this year, and I know how particular I am about things related to them. I can't even touch their clothes yet to clean things out. So for someone to steal something as precious, flaunt it front of you as a trophy, insult you, and to provoke and challenge you for it would take I e heck of an emotional toll. And right now in that emotional mess, Shiva's thinking with his heart and not mind. And his heart only has his family in it. Raavi still has to make a place, and he just doesn't realize what he's doing is wring.

As a ShiVi fan, it's very painful. But I think it will be good for them in the long run if he hopefully, will have to work to earn his own respect in her eyes and give her the respect she deserves front of all.
