Hey! I caught up on your story last night, and I don't know why I didn't read this beautiful story before. What a wonderful concept and amazingly written by you.. Shiva has been and will always be the protective shield around raavi. So good to see him take a stand for her against his own brother Dev, who's nothing but spineless. Raavi and her family had been invited to a wedding in a town outside somnath.maasi and mausa insisted her to join them but she was not In a mood to go.she convinced them that she will be fine alone and anita Di should go with them.it was necessary for her to go to such functions, so that she will get a good proposal for marriage.the last thing she wanted was her family to stop living normally because of her . Finally everyone went away leaving her alone in the house.
Shiva called her and was getting worried as she was not picking his phone.in the last few days he called her twice a day. His day started and ended with her . He was getting an uneasy feeling. Finally he called anita and got to know that raavi was alone.how can they leave her alone and go? What if she needed something? Is she fine? He immediately went to Raavis house to check on her.
He found her bed empty.
She came out of the bathroom wiping her face.she has been feeling nauseous since morning, and vomited twice.
Shiva immediately came up to her.
" Tu thk hai? " He asked worried and held her shoulders.
Raavi was a bit startled to see him there, but she has to get used to it . the frequency of his unannounced arrivals was increasing.
She nodded meekly, when she again felt the urge to vomit.
She hastily went to the washroom and shiva followed .
She vomited holding the toilet seat and shiva was stroking her back continuously comforting her.
" Shiva .. Tu bahar jaa... ulti Kar rahi hoo Mai" she said disgusted.she didn't want him to see her in such a condition.
" Tu to aise bol rahi hai Jaise Maine kisiko ulti karte nahi Dekha...aree Krish ki Kitni ultiya saaf ki hai maine." He Said trying to make her comfortable.
He steadied her and made her sit on the bed.he took a glass of Water and made her drink it.
" Thoda Acha lag raha hai? " He asked
She nodded.
" Chal... doctor ke paas chalte hai" he said and got up holding her hand, but raavi didn't get up.
"Doctor ki koi zaroorat nahi hai shiva .Mai thk hu.maine google Mai padha hai ki pregnancy mai yeh sab Hona normal hai" she said.
Shiva rolled his eyes..she and her google.he had also read it, but he wanted to be absolutely sure.he can't take any risks when it comes to her health.
" Tere is Google ke paas degree hai? Medical college Gaya hai Woh? " He said irritated.
" Shiva..." She said looking down
He noticed her hesitation.
" Baat kuch aur hai na ? Bata kya hua hai? " He asked lifting her by the chin to make her look straight into his eyes.
" Mai abhi logo ko face Karne ke liye taiyar nahi hoo.janti Hu ki ek na ek din mujhe society ko face Karna Hoga, sabko pata Chal Jayega...par abhi Mai taiyar nahi hu shiva...mujhe thoda aur waqt chahiye " raavi said
Shiva suddenly realised that she had not gone out of her house since the day she broke her engagement.he curses himself for not noticing this.
" Dekh raavi...Tu agar taiyar nahi hai to Mai tujhe force nahi karunga.tu jab bhi samaj ka saamna Karne Ka Faisla legi, mujhe Apne Saath khada payegi." He assured her putting his hand on hers.
" Par in Sab Mai hum Teri sehat ko nazarandaaz to nahi Kar sakte.ek kaam karte hai....Somnath ke bahar Kisi clinic Mai chalte hai.thk hai? "He asked.
She nodded her head, feeling a little braver with his reassurance.
" Chal bahar jaa....mujhe ready Hona hai" she said.
" Hann to washroom Mai jaake ready ho.aur darwaza band mat karna.kuch Chahiye Hoga to mujhe awaz dena.samjhi? " He replied not wanting to leave her alone for a second.
She knew it won't be worth fighting with him so she simply took out a pair of clothes and went into the washroom.
She came out wearing a pink salwar, looking fresh.her hair was tied into a ponytail with loose strands falling in her face.
Shiva gave a soft smile admiring her before coming out of his trance.
" Mai taxi book karta hu." He said
" Taxi kyu? Teri bike hai na. Kitne din ho Gaye Maine khuli hawa Mai saans nahi li. Bike par chalte hai na plz plz plz." She Said in her chirpy voice.
" Bike pe? Itni dur? Woh bhi iss halat mai?" He asked
She nodded excitedly.
" Bilkul bhi nahi" shiva said .
Her face fell hearing that. She pouted and sat down on the bed crossing her hands over her chest.
" Mujhe nahi Jaana" she said.
He sighed seeing her like that.
" AE chipkali...aise baccho ki tarah zidd mat kar " he said pointing a finger at her.
" Dekh shiva. .Mai pregnant Hu, bimar nahi. Tu mujhe aise bimaro ki Tarah treat Karna band kar"she said
He finally gave in.
" Thk hai ab muh mat fula...bike pe chalenge" he said.
She smiled and got up.
Shiva waited for her to sit behind him .she quickly sat on his bike, but he didn't start it.
" Kya hua? Chal na. " She said.
" Aise kya baithi hai...thk se baith na " he chided her.
She rolled her eyes.
" Dekh shiva ..ab yeh mat bol ki aise ladkiyon ki Tarah kya baithi hai.main aise hi comfortable Hu" she said
" Mera Woh matlab nahi tha....pakad ke baith " he said in a low voice.
She softened a bit hearing him, remembering the multiple times he had shoved off her hands rudely when she had sat in his bike before.he was treating her like a fragile doll, but was she complaining? Not at all, she is loving all the attention and care she is getting from him.she is loving this new side of him.she kept her hands on his shoulders and he started.
She noticed he was being careful on the humps, not at all driving roughly as he usually does, keeping his speed under control and checking if she is ok through the mirror from time to time.
She was feeling happy after a long time.the Feeling of the wind against her face, shivas company made her feel alive once again.
They reached a clinic after an hour long drive.
She walked in and suddenly her happiness vanished. She felt nervousness take over her. She remembered the last time she came to a clinic and her legs trembled at the memory.she closed her eyes.she felt a hand hold her and lead her along. She opened her eyes to see shiva looking at her intently, her hands were tightly entangled with his.they walked in like that as she found her nervousness slowly disappearing.
Raavi filled a form while he waited.
They both sat down in the waiting area.
" Mam , Aapne Apne husband Ka naam nahi likha.kya naam hai unka ? " The nurse came upto them and asked her.
Raavi looked up feeling unsure.what should she say?
" Shiva pandya" he said.
She was shocked when she listened to him.did he just address himself as her husband.?she looked at him with tears in his eyes.
" Ghur kya rahi hai? Bola tha na tera Saath dunga.hamesha " he said squeezing her hands
She wiped her tears and nodded.
They went inside the doctors cabin.she advised some tests and wrote some iron and calcium tablets. She was giving instructions on her diet, exercise and dos and donts of pregnancy. Shiva was listening to each and every word of hers with great attention. He even asked some doubts.
Raavi chuckled seeing his enthusiasm.the doctor gave them a date for the follow up visit and ultrasound.
They Left after buying the Medicines.raavi was in deep thought during the return journey.what relation did they share? Earlier they had a simple equation, enemies.where do they stand now? Friends? They were certainly more than that. She couldn't deny the fact that she was getting attached to him. Her day did not end till she talked to him.nowadays even her mornings started with his good morning.she knew it is going to be complicated, as for now she chose not to burden her heart with all sort of questions and relaxed her head on shivas back, closing her eyes.shiva thought that she was tired and shifted a bit to make her comfortable.
They reached home and he dropped her off.
She got off and was about to go when she turned back and placed a quick peck on his cheek.
" Thank you" she muttered not meeting his eyes and running away .
Shiva was taken aback by the sudden kiss.he waited till she got home and stayed there for some time looking at her.He smiled and went home.
He came home to meet the questioning eyes of dhara bhabi.
" Raavi ko doctor ke paas leke Gaya tha" he said
" Thk hai na Woh? Koi serious baat to nahi hai na?" Dhara asked getting worried.
" Sab thk hai bhabi...Aap tension mat lo." He assured her.
" Tu thak Gaya hoga...Mai khaana Lagati Hu" she said without questioning him further.raavi needed someone to take care of her. She needed a support.she knew shiva was not doing this out of sympathy, he genuinely cared for her. She has always felt that shiva and raavi had a strange connection from childhood.they fought like cats and dogs but he was always there for her when someone else tried to hurt her.
Shiva laid on the bed thinking about the events of the day. He couldn't help thinking about her, infact she was the only thing on his mind nowadays.what was happening to him? Of course he cared for her. What happened with her was wrong and no girl should have to go through that.he is just trying to help. He knew he was fooling himself by not admitting the truth, but he was scared.will raavi ever accept him as anything more than a friend? They were caught in the mess created by his brother, and he didn't want to complicate things further by prioritising his feelings over her. As of now Nothing mattered to him more than her safety, health and happiness.
He drifted off to sleep thinking about her.
