Why is it that I can write a 5k+ words fanfiction on Shivi in one day, but I can’t write a 1k word essay for college 🤣 But I’ve done it! Here’s the final chapter to my fanfiction. Thank you all for motivating me. I love reading your comments ❤️

“Surprise round!!” Rishita was now excited. Maybe this would give a chance to win. “Kya hai surprise round?”

“Toh surprise round yeh hai ki ab aap dono ke liye ek ek special question hai. Aur Gaumbi judge karega kaun hai asli winner.” Krish said.

“Yes!!!” Rishita shouted.

Raavi was upset, they had won. So why another round? But if they had won one round, they can easily win this one too. Turns out, they knew each other too well. It was surprising, but it felt good. Shiva knew everything about her! He hadn’t missed even one question about her. So he didn’t hate her as much as she thought he did. He had observed every single detail about her.

“Bata Rishita, tujhe Dev ki kaunsi baat sabse achhi lagti hai?”

“Dev jaise mera khyal rakhta hai mujhe bohot achha lagta hai. Aaj tak kisi ne mera itne achhe se khyaal nahi rakha jitna Dev rakhta hai. Use meri choti choti har baat ka khyal rehta hai.”

“Aur Dev tu bata, tujhe Rishita ki kaunsi baat sabse achhi lagti hai?”

“Rishita ka bachpana aur uski shararat. Woh humesha mujhe smile karati hai, chahe jo ho jaye.”

Rishita smiled, then said, “Par bhabhi aap yeh question Shiva aur Raavi se mat puchna. Dono ek dusre ko bardaasht tak nahi kar sakte. Unko ek dusre ke baare mein kya pasand hoga?” She started laughing.

“Mujhe Shiva ki bohot saari baatein pasand hai.” Raavi suddenly spoke up. She was fuming at Rishita’s words. How dare she decide if they liked each other or not?

“Kaunsi baatein?” Dhara asked.

“Shiva ka aapke liye respect. Agar aapko koi bhi kuch bhi kehta hai na bhabhi toh Shiva aapke saamne dhaal banke khada ho jata hai. Shiva ka apni family ke liye pyaar aur care karna mujhe bohot pasand hai. Jab Dev MBA padh raha tha toh Shiva ne saara kaam apne sar le liya, bina kuch kahe. Shiva iss parivaar ke liye sab kuch sacrifice kar deta hai, bina koi shikayat ke. Aur jab woh hasta hai toh...”

“Toh kya?” Krish asked.

Raavi broke out of her trance and saw everyone staring at her. She blushed. Even Shiva was staring at her with an unreadable expression. She just wanted to prove Rishita wrong, but she ended up spilling her heart out.

“Batayiye na bhabhi, Shiva hasta hai toh..?”

“Toh.. achha lagta hai.”

“Dil mein guitar bajta hai?” Krish asked.

“Raavi, yeh dil ke guitar ko fek de. Raakshash ke liye guitar bajane ki koi zaroorat nahi.” Maami suddenly got up and spoke out.

“Ae Maami, tu kuch zyaada nahi bolne lagi hai aaj kal?” Shiva said, and Maami quietly sat down.

“Raavi ne bol diya. Ab tu bol Shiva.” Dhara said.

Shiva suddenly felt all eyes on him. This was slightly embarrassing. He didn’t want to speak out in front of everyone, but then he remembered they were his family and this was a safe space. He didn’t think Raavi would be able to say even one thing she liked about him. But she had noticed his love and his sacrifice. That really touched his heart. If anything, he was feeling a little emotional.

“Bolna Shiva.” Dhara said.

Raavi looked at Shiva with disappointment. Couldn’t he come up with anything he liked about her? If Dhara bhabhi had asked him what he disliked about her, he could come up with a list.

“Iski smile.”

“Aur?” Dhara knew he needed some encouragement. Shiva wasn’t someone who could express his feelings easily.

“Iska aap logo ke liye pyaar aur respect.”

“Aur?”

“Iski innocence aur iska excitement. Aur iska mere saath jhagda karna. Har baat ka jawab hota hai iss maami ke behen ki beti ke paas.”

“Mujhe ek baat yaad aa rahi hai Gaumbi.” Dhara spoke out suddenly. “Har saal Raavi ka birthday sabse pehle hume kaun yaad dilata hai?”

Gaumbi laughed.

“Uss Mami ke behen ki beti ka birthday hai aaj. Aa jayega apni battisi nikalke cake khilane ke liye. Ghusne nahi dunga uss chipkali ko.” Krish was imitating Shiva.

Raavi laughed too. Shiva glared at all of them. Why was he being subjected to so much humiliation? Of course he remembered his chipkali’s birthday, to plan his escape or plan how to stop her from coming to Pandya house. He would mark it in red in his calendar and it was saved in his phone and the reminder was set for the day before. But he never needed the calendars. He remembered the date very clearly.

“Maine toh pehle bhi kaha tha Dhara, Shiva ki life humesha se Raavi ke aas paas ghumti hai. Bachpan se leke aaj tak.”

“Sirf Shiva ka nahi, Raavi ka bhi.” Anita said. “Shiva ke liye extra projects banwati thi mere se aur submit bhi kar deti uska naam likhke.”

Shiva was shocked. He didn’t know his. He would never do his projects, but he still got his marks. It was probably his luck, he thought. But it was his wife! He couldn’t help but smile. Raavi looked embarrassed. Anita had revealed her secret.

“Aur Shiva ke 18th birthday pe Raavi ne Maami ke purse se Rs. 3000 churake Shiva ko ek ghari gift ki thi.”

“Kyaaaaa?” Maami stood up, shocked.

“Yeh wohi wali ghari hai jo aap apni almari ke sambhal ke rakhte ho?” Krish asked. “Maine ek baar pehenne ke liye maangi thi aur Shiva ne mujhe dhakke maar ke ghar se nikal diya tha.”

“Tune paise churaye?? Woh bhi iss raakshas ke liye?” Mami shouted.

“Aur toh aur, Shiva humesha Pandya store ke chocolate chori karke Raavi ke bag mein rakh deta tha chori chupe.” Dev said, laughing.

“Ae Raavi, main itni dur tujhe bachane aayi aur tune mere paise chauraye??” Mami shouted.

“Bas!” Suman shouted. “Sab ke sab che che kiye jaa rahe hai. Mere bachho ko tang kar rahe hai. Tu bata Gaumbi, kaun jeeta?”

“Dono round mein toh Shivi hi jeete hai maa. Shivi hai iss family ke best couple.” Gaumbi announced.

“Toh bas ho gaya. Sab sone jao.” Suman said.

“Hum sachhi jeet gaye?” Raavi had not yet processed what was happening. There was so much happening. Anita had revealed all her secrets. She thought Shiva had thrown her watch away, but it seems he kept it! It wasn’t Dev who brought her the chocolates. It was Shiva!”

“Haa Raavi.” Dhara smiled.

“Hum jeet gaye.” She said, but her mind was still processing all the revelations made today. Shiva knew everything about her, he liked so many things about her, he brought her chocolates. This was too much to bear.

Rishita was heartbroken. Even more than that, she was shocked! She thought she knew Shiva-Raavi’s relationship but she had misinterpreted it. There was so much more happening between them. She had no idea how close they were, or how much they meant to each other. She lost! She stormed off to her own room in anger. Dev followed to comfort her.

“Jaane se pehle ek baat bolna chahunga main.” Krish said. When he saw he had everyone’s attention, he said, “Dhara bhabhi aapne ek baat galat boli.”

“Kaunsi baat?”

“Shiva ki first crush Madhuri Dixit nahi, Raavi Shiva Pandya hain.” He laughed.

“Ae gadhera!” Shiva moved to hit him, but he ran to his room.

“Chalo, hum bhi chalte hai Dhara. Best couple ko yahi rehne dete hai.” Gaumbi and Dhara walked away with a smile on their face. They were finally relieved. Dhara hadn’t made a mistake by getting them married. They were made for each other. Suman left with them too.

“Raavi tune yeh achha nahi kiya. Rs. 3000 chori kar liye!”

“Aap toh kanjoos ki tarah mujhe Rs.100 de rahi thi. Toh main kya karti?” Raavi asked.

“Iss raakshash ke liye Rs 100 bhi bohot zyada hai!“

“Bohot raat ho gayi hai Maami. Raat ko koi chor bhi aa sakta hai. Aap apne kangan sambhal ke rakhna.”

Mami let out a small shriek. “Mazak mazak. Tu toh mera beta hai. Main jaati hu. Chal Anita.” She dragged Anita with her.

Shiva and Raavi stood there awkwardly alone. The evening had been interesting. There were so many revelations! They had unknowingly revealed their feelings for each other. Not only them, but their family members too. Raavi had a thousand questions in his mind. Unable to hold it any longer, she decided to ask him.

“Tu mere liye chocolates lata tha? Bataya kyu nahi kabhi? Aur tune meri ghari toh fek do thi na? Tujhe mere baare mein itna sab kuch kaise pata?”

“Ae mami ke behen ki beti. Muh bandh nahi hota na tera?” Shiva said. “Waise, tu mere projects kyu karti thi?”

“Agar main tere projects nahi karti na toh tu kabka fail ho gaya hota!” Raavi replied.

Shiva was glad Raavi was speaking to him normally. This evening had changed their relationship but Raavi still normal. He couldn’t see them behaving any differently. It was a sure thing that they would be still fighting like this even after they had spent fifty years of their life with each other.

Shiva and Raavi slowly walked back to their bedroom. They didn’t fight about where to sleep tonight. They took the bed and lied down. After about 15 mins, Raavi suddenly turned to his side and propped up on her elbow.

“Shiva main toh bhul hi gayi.” She said. “Humne Rishita ko hara diya. Uska muh dekha tumne. Rone wali thi bechari.” She laughed.

Shiva laughed too. “Asli maza toh kal aayega jab use saare bartan majne parenge. Sabke liye khana banayegi woh.”

“Hey bhagwaan! Main uske haath ka khana nahi khaungi. Pata nahi kya banayegi.” Raavi made a face. “Waise hum kya karenge? Humari toh chutti hai!”

“Bahar khane chale? Aur woh Rishita bhabhi ke list ki sightseeing bhi kar lenge.”

Raavi smiled. But then she realised the meaning of his words. He wasn’t just taking her out, he would be taking her out alone. Without any family members with them. It was a date! He was asking her out on a date. She blushed.

“Okay.”

Shiva noticed a strand of hair falling on Raavi’s face. He gently tucked it behind her ear and Raavi, for the first time in her life, felt her heart pounding for Shiva. Now after this evening, she was sure he didn’t leave her alone with the gundas. She didn’t know why he didn’t take her with him, but in her heart, she knew she trusted him more than she trusted anyone in her life. It was like that since her childhood. She had always trusted him! Always. He was the real important person in her life. It wasn’t Dev. It was never Dev. It was always Shiva.

Raavi didn’t get a wink of sleep that night. She kept thinking about their date and planning what to wear. Even Shiva promised to make an effort for her, wear something nice, just for her. Both of them knew tomorrow was going to be the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
