Exactly! This is the reason I love visiting the forums. You can understand the characters better, on a more humane level when you have so many point of views and it’s beautiful!

When I watched the original, it never crossed my mind that Kathir (Shiva) would be secretly crushing on Mulla (Raavi). It's probably because they didn't have as many scenes as Shiva and Raavi have. Interestingly enough, in the Telugu remake Bharat (Shiva) actually confesses to Siri (Raavi) (once they started to have feelings for each other) that he'd always liked her as a child, and if it hadn't been for her mother (Maami), he might've acted upon those feelings.

While watching Pandya Store, I always saw Shiva having some sort of subconscious crush on Raavi. A crush that he can't act upon because of his hate for Maami and because of Raavi's innocent obliviousness. Either way, I can't wait to see how they both tease each other in the future.

Oh really! Thank you for sharing with us❤️ in this version their chemistry is so palpable and like you said, they have ample scenes that we can’t help but feel that way!

I never felt he had full blown feelings for her, but like you said there's something present at a subconscious level - you can feel the pull between them. I tried to view it more objectively because I didn't want to chalk it down to a classic case of "boy pulls girls pigtails because he likes her", even though Shiva gives off those vibes very strongly, because of the plotline and emotions involved. I was trying very hard not to let my shipper heart imagine things but now that you and others seem to feel the same way, I'm inclined to accept that maybe this subconscious crush thing could be true. If it is, I'd love for them to discuss it later on. Good point about the coping mechanism!

I do think differently about him having an affinity towards her since they were kids, though. Even though the older Shiva clearly has a soft corner for Raavi despite everything - and I bet he wouldn't admit that to himself to save his life - I don't believe he liked her right from the beginning. When they were kids there was no way Shiva liked her given his all-encompassing disdain for all things Maami and well, they were just kids. I think that gradually came about as they grew up.

It feels the same from Raavi's end - while we get these hints from Shiva's intensity, soft looks and his hidden care Raavi gives us reason to ponder through her inclination to bring Shiva into every conversation or situation, seek his opinion or approval and the fact that she's so forgiving of him. It's like her mind knows he's an integral part of her daily routine who pisses her off but can't do without. Again, everything at a subconscious level because tweedledee and tweedledum are too busy tripping over each other 🤣

Maybe his equation with Raavi is a combination of all the different perspectives we've all put together here - after all, human relationships are always complex and layered 😆

Yea that’s true, not from the beginning. It might have happened as they grew up. What I meant that it’s been a long time for him and that’s just how he deals with it now.🤗

From raavi’s side it could be! But what I think is raavi has been too carefree since now and was so busy with her childhood crush on dev. When she later falls in love with shiva () and realise what being in love is like , she might realise that what she had with dev was nothing more than a crush. Nonetheless, she’s kind to shiva and already thinks of her as a family. They would be so cute together. ❤️

That’s exactly what it’s! Rightly said- human mind is so complex! No wonder our would be lovebirds will be very confused with their feelings and would need a lot of time to figure it out.

Ooh, what wonderful discussions. Couldn’t have said it better. They are definitely inclined towards each other but would never admit it out loud. I’m sure after the wedding they will get forced to think and act on it.

I’m absolutely excited about their falling in love phase but clashes first.

It's definitely cute that she considers all of them her family, the apnaapan just oozes off of her kind personality. What I meant with Raavi was that she gives Shiva a lot of significance in her life, albeit unconsciously. Apart from that, I don't see any palpable attraction or softness other than her innate cheeriness at the moment, unlike Shiva.

While she fawns over Dev, we see more of a real connect with Shiva, as you would with an actual friend or close acquaintance. Maybe that's because we've only seen her fawning over him, perhaps they have more natural interaction offscreen but I doubt that because she wouldn't be this delusional about Dev if he spoke to her openly.

This has been one of my favorite posts. Loving different perspectives and speculations. Analyzing the show and its characters beyond their face value makes me love this show even more!
