I love this about QeJ and AIJ both. Neither Ammar and Sheroz are excused for their actions - what is wrong IS wrong - but you do get insight into what went wrong in their upbringing to turn them into criminals. Not everyone with such root causes will of course become a criminal but it certainly makes a villain interesting to watch. And also given how most PTV shows have toxic households, I’m glad both shows are pinpointing exactly what’s messed up which played a part in creating these villains. Aisa usually hota nahi hai in PTV dramas.

As long as you recognise the criminality of the acts, this added layer is fine because even side characters like Sidra are getting these layers. They’re not just bystanders but have these human layers too.

Thank you. What you have summarized is brilliant. Humans are complex and such dramas allow us to explore the nuances.

We really need wise viewers who look beyond what is black and what is white and what is romance.
