KDH criticized Wahaj quite a bit though not as much as Maya and Usama. Nor dud they rate his performance highly. Aamna praised him for E19 when she called him ki g of emotions but she also criticized his performance several times esp. in all his drunken scenes, how Bilal looked at Sadaf at start of 8 crore scene, yhe shyness scenes, his English, and I think also in the conversation with escort 2 scene. Mostly they stayed quite on his performance, neither praising nor criticizing. Hassan was more positive in the beginning but quieted down after a while.

Being an andhon main kaana raja is not something to brag about either.

I think scenes from this last episode resonated with people. I know the critics won’t like it and they aren’t completely wrong. To spend the second last episode on Ammar and Humsha just to throw everything at us at the end is going to make people question the logic behind it. A few episodes building up Bilal and Sadaf would have been more effective especially since they looked so nice together. Forget scenes of them together, at least give Wahaj some proper screen space especially in the last half of the show. Despite all of this, I really enjoyed and connected with the last episode. It actually surprised me because I was somewhat ready for them to have a happy ending and didn’t expect to like the last episode so much. Maybe it’s because it had a completely different vibe and wasn’t running at a snail’s pace.

I noticed that a lot of friends/acquaintances of mine from Instagram liked the reels of them on Geo’s account. They don’t all follow Wahaj either so I think those scenes worked for a lot of people. I just learned that my in-laws binge-watched it and although I haven’t talked to them in depth about it, they enjoyed it and were eagerly waiting for the last episode (I haven’t had a chance to talk to them about the ending yet). Honestly though, even I couldn’t understand how they were enjoying some of those episodes.

It definitely was positively received than most of the show tbh. Even the reviewer at Fuchsia likee it.

They did not rate him in most KDH episodes because he barely had screen time. I guess in your case you want to focus mainly on everything negative they said about him while some of us are focussing on the positives. Andho mein kaana raja ki baat hi nahin hain cause they actually raved about him in some episodes even with his minimal screen time. When you call someone king of expressions it is not andhon mein kaana raja. Baaki kissi ki bhi performance har episode mein consistently 10 on 10 barely hi rate hoti hain, other than his English I did not see much severe criticism from SH or even KDH atleast not with regards to his performance. Amna even as of till a few days back said that Wahaj may be the only one to leave the show unscathed since people did not feel hate for Bilal's character.

Totally agree with you. Wahaj as Bilal was definitely done well. Critics even bash more than this for even some huge viewed geo drama actors. Amnas problem was only with that one scene where Bilal drinks after Sadaf Resigns . Thats fine, I can pinpoint many actors with such flaws in some scene in huge dramas but in drama with good script it will just went unnoticed for many as they will be linking it. If someone doesn’t like something then one starts to nitpick each and everything, but still getting these praises in not liked drama which is nitpicked to this level is great. Time will tell, now we can’t explain that to everyone.

KDH bashed Wahaj quite openly in the episode where they were rating Usama this week. They said no need to give Wahaj numbers since Maya already said “you are not a good actor” in the show to him.

I thought it was below the belt but they’ve been super critical of him indirectly and directly both. Atiqa has talked at length about him not developing any character arc so the transitions in the character don’t make sense. Take the shaadi scene for example where most of us, including reviewers, thought Bilal Abdullah had back pain and might die and in retrospect, this was just an acting choice made by Wahaj 🤡

This show was not his best performance either. Amina even called out his acting as him having performance anxiety in one of her reviews.

For Wahaj this is really a time to self reflect and focus on good scripts rather than who the director/production is. I really want him to do a solid script before coming back as Murtasim. Because TB 2 is going to be a guilty pleasure type of show. Preferably a non romantic type of role which is different
