I just want it to be praised and appreciated for story, performance, characters. For Wahaj to have ss and a meaty, performance oriented cktr even if it's a FL-centric drama. For it to have potential to be a ptv classic. Chemistry I give 2 effs about. Trp and views I don't even care. It's Green so noone is expecting chappar phaar trp or views either.

I want all of this too, really praying hard for it. Views toh waise bhi Wahaj ke hote milne hain hi, TRPs are immaterial with all the faking happening, but yes sabse important story and execution and acting needs to be stellar. This show can be a make or break kind of thing for Wahaj and reclaim his credibility.

No. In this last episode review, her view of BA had changed. I think they liked his cktr in the beginning and the styling they only liked in E19 for the wedding episode. Sherry was the one Aamna had praised for styling throughout the series but Wahaj was only praised for styling for the wedding episode. She said in this review she couldn't connect with BA either. Even Hassan made no positive comments about BA like he used to. They did say that Zaviyar was the only cktr that made sense till the end. Humsha's cktr they said made no sense but her styling and look was on point throughout and showed her in a way she wasn't seen

It’s not my thinking. It’s my opinion. Everyone need not have same opinion though. Just look at their advice they just told Wahaj is great actor he needs to choose script carefully and wisely whereas for Maya they said she needs to work on her craft which shows his performance was good , problem is with script and co star performance. SH praised him mostly. Even at start for his alcoholic scenes and even in that marriage sequence and also later when he appeared for some time in between saying it feels like hero has come in all this mess. And yes I agree they were unhappy with less focus on character and I agree on that , Amna was always saying his Aura is there. But overall they have praised his performance in such an awful show whereas they won’t praise many top actors in many geo dramas and leave about mega drama and all, It’s all marketing gimmicks. Also very rarely A star actors have given all time blockbuster like TB. It’s fine to have this miss. But yes he needs to do right script selection now. All 8 pm dramas nowadays are like mega ones and we can easily find many A star dramas with these level views, here if drama had ran on right pace it was around 25 episodes IMO, in one way shot less and made more by slow pace trick but yes on trp it’s lower . Also trps are mostly defined by channel viewership and next because of content more than actor fame, that’s reason average actors dramas also fetch high trps many times as general tv viewers very rarely care about an actor but as I said use of alcohol was one of the basic problem of low trp and slow pace more than anything else . I do agree Wahaj needs to opt script very carefully and I guess he would have got it now anyway. He doesn’t need mega drama or anything to create impact, he is a great actor , what is required is better storyline and screen time, Anyway, let’s end the discussion. Happy weekend.

I think scenes from this last episode resonated with people. I know the critics won’t like it and they aren’t completely wrong. To spend the second last episode on Ammar and Humsha just to throw everything at us at the end is going to make people question the logic behind it. A few episodes building up Bilal and Sadaf would have been more effective especially since they looked so nice together. Forget scenes of them together, at least give Wahaj some proper screen space especially in the last half of the show. Despite all of this, I really enjoyed and connected with the last episode. It actually surprised me because I was somewhat ready for them to have a happy ending and didn’t expect to like the last episode so much. Maybe it’s because it had a completely different vibe and wasn’t running at a snail’s pace.

I noticed that a lot of friends/acquaintances of mine from Instagram liked the reels of them on Geo’s account. They don’t all follow Wahaj either so I think those scenes worked for a lot of people. I just learned that my in-laws binge-watched it and although I haven’t talked to them in depth about it, they enjoyed it and were eagerly waiting for the last episode (I haven’t had a chance to talk to them about the ending yet). Honestly though, even I couldn’t understand how they were enjoying some of those episodes.

I never thought there can be a worse Wahaj show than Mein but SMD beat that in EVERY category. A very unpopular opinion but even Zaid >>> Bilal Abdullah anyday. In Mein every character also got a closure while we don’t know what happened to either Hamsha or Ammar.

Maya and Wahaj can do whatever they want offscreen , but I never want to see them together as a couple again. Sorry they just repulse me now when I see them together.

Haseeb and Maya should just let it go . Everyone else has moved on but they are still acting as if they have created some masterpiece. Wahaj hasn’t acknowledged any SMD post by either Shahvir or Maya, which shows he isn’t happy with how the show turned out to be.

Majority of General viewers will be happy when they get some happy stuff in dramas and some good scenes. Problem with this drama was that it was all of sadness and that won’t go well with general viewers as they will be like why to watch hectic drama in busy life whereas for critics when something is such a sad oriented kind of plot with complicated relationships with abuse and all then the storyline needs to be logical and wrapped rightly but it wasn’t such and hence they didn’t liked and on top of that controversial and bold kind of dialogues. KRQ IMO isn’t like some best writer but an ok writer who can even write a bad plot and it was very badly written plot and badly written plot can work in intense fiery dramas or happy vibes tracks and not here in emotional plots , In such tracks plot needs to be strong with right pace to at least make critics happy as viewers will anyway be bored with sadness.

I agree, SH and even KDH have barely bashed him. It is only his script choice they are concerned about. Aamna and Hassan both agreed he looked really good in the last epi too. Heck for one older SMD episode review Aamna even called him the King of Expressions.

Aamna called SMD "universally panned", "universally declared flop".

They were discussing Maya's farewell post and the omission of Usama and Saba Hameed from the thank yous.
