They could have cast an older actor like Jibran for the character of Burhan. He is very young and just returned from abroad, and him being “ The famous lawyer” just doesn’t sit well.

Also agree with the sentiment that they could have done without his character as well. That’s not to say that they should have made Ammar the lead but the show could have done without any romantic angle for Nashwa and the only love story being of Bisma and Asim.

The only show I remember which didn’t have any romantic angle was Nauroz and it was a good story until the writer ruined it in later episodes with extra preachiness and lame end which had nothing to do with it not having a romantic track.

Jibran is now busy with geo mostly and doing mediocre dramas like daraar

One thing does confuse me. If Burhan has been abroad for most of his life and has studied abroad too, then how can he practice law in Pakistan? I presume all countries have their own legal system and in order to practice law in a country you'll need to study that legal system of that country.

Chaotic cousins

Burhan and nashwa love angle is not unnecessary. It was needed for the story. It was all about asim, bisma history repeating itself. Nashwa facing same fate as her mother, but unlike her mother, she will fight for herself.

Love story is just one of the tracks here. Not full track. Nashwa is a grown up girl. So her falling in love or wanting a partner is extremely natural.

Pakistan's law system is Based on English common law with significant influence from Islamic law but the civil laws of these two countries share significant similarities due to Pakistan's colonial history under British rule. Even some Pakistani laywers go to London for getting Barristar and higher degrees of law.

Burhan or no Burhan .. sensible people would still not have romanticized (in any shape or form) Nashwa and Ammar. So yes, however hard people try to show the redundancy of Burhan, it still doesn't whitewash Ammar.

Also, doesn't it mean that a male lead is redundant in almost every drama highlighting women issues. For example Jimmy was not at all needed in Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahin. Zulfi as a police officer could have saved Allah Rakhi easily.

I hope Nameer will utilize this popularity in a good way. I want he follow Yumna's choices in his career as Yumna has been intelligent in keeping a balance between commercial and content based dramas. Secondly he needs to work on his voice modulation.

If Bisma's marriage happens around the last episodes of QEJ, Faryal's character is here to stay! If Faryal has a role of just a cameo, we will see Asim-Bisma's marriage soon!

Nashwa crying with Bisma's shawl in her hands! Probably soon after Bisma leaves with Asim!

This scene I think is after Burhan-Nashwa's nikaah & it's Burhan she mentions as "zaalim (ka saath denewaala) shohar"

Because in this scene we see Burhan in tea shirt! If Nashwa was just an intern he would have the formal look & this interaction would have been in his office! We don't appear in casuals with everyone, right?! It kind of shows intimacy!
