I also felt that! Maybe it took some time for her to come in terms with what she heard! She didn't rightaway believed it when Sana took Ammar's name! She was like there are many Ammars in the same city, I think she was defensive because she wasn't expecting this from Ammar!

He's a smoker, yes! She doubts him of using drugs, yes! But the crime he's accused of is not something like that, it was huge!

Yes, the crime was huge, so I expected a better reaction from her. Director should have taken more time on this scene because the revelation was important.. It felt rushed.
