I agree with a lot of what she says but not everything. To me, I think they made it pretty obvious that Bilal didn’t just fall for Sadaf’s looks. It’s what got his attention initially but then she ends up being Mirza Saab’s daughter. On top of that, she seems connected to so many other people…Ammar and Humsha…so her topic was always at the forefront. But honestly the amount of times he has talked about his respect for Mirza Saab, it’s obvious that he feels some connection and affinity to Sadaf through that relationship. I understand what Rabia is saying though because the focus wasn’t on the two of them. The focus has been on Sadaf and her family and all of this gets lost somewhere. I know the setup was important but so much time was spent on it that the main couple didn’t receive the focus that they should have. I think if it moved faster on those scenes, it would have been fine. Same with Humsha…I think people forget about that earlier scene where it was obvious that she has feelings for Bilal.

About Ammar, I know that Rabia thinks it doesn’t make sense but everything she pointed out is actually intentionally shown. He expects loyalty from Sadaf when she’s been clear that she wants nothing to do with him. He doesn’t respect her decisions.

Ok question for you guys. Do you think that Bilal doesn’t sleep with these escorts? I just assumed they meant he doesn’t sleep with them every night and is looking for companionship without commitment more than anything. Like sleeping with them isn’t his main motive for seeking them out. He’s lonely and needs to blurt things out when he’s drunk and these women listen. However I cannot believe that he hires these women and never sleeps with them especially when alcohol is involved. I think they just didn’t want him to sound like a $ex addicted creep. I mean it’s fine for a piece of fiction but even I was thinking that I could never be with a guy who was sleeping with random women every night…it would just bother me too much. So I don’t think he’s a virgin but I don’t think he’s promiscuous either.

I think the entire aim of that scene was to establish that Bilal doesn't sleep with them. He buys their time to have conversations with them and spend time with them...The girl was pretty specific when she said all she has to do is smile and converse with him and in return she gets so much money that she doesn't have to sell herself to others......And then Bilal asked her, if they were not friends ? to which she replied that they weren't because she is doing it for money...It was a beautifully written scene tbh. Conversations around being friends and how she only has to smile and converse were clear indicators that he doesn't sleep with them.

My issue with SMD is the lack of Bilal...He has no family so it's tough to get his scenes but in the initial episodes, there should have been equal emphasis on his character as Sadaf's family issues.

Hassan really liked his acting and pointed out a lot of those scenes. He liked the scene and Wahaj’s acting when he was talking to the escort and I think that’s when she said he seems psychotic (can’t remember the word used). I don’t know if she means mentally disturbed because he’s supposed to be. Also think some scenes are intentional. Like when he’s staring at Sadaf when she walks in to ask for the infamous 8 crores…his gaze is very intense. She looks at him and looks down immediately. It kind of solidified his character for her and convinced her that he’s interested in her in that moment. Even the scene where he walks up to her at the end of that conversation was filmed in such a way to make him look threatening. That’s when Sadaf shivered and moved against the wall. A lot of it justified Sadaf’s actions…he felt threatening to her. It’s later that she realizes she was wrong about him.

The last two episodes he didn’t even look at her with any intense gaze. They were more focussed on the issue at hand and many of the looks were hurt and pain. Much softer glances. A sadness over what his happening, the lack of trust they had in him and a realization that he isn’t good enough for Sadaf. Also if you guys notice from the teasers and OST, Bilal’s looks towards Sadaf become softer and softer. I think it will represent the escalation of his love.

Yes, his gaze was intense and when she looked down is when he realized he perhaps made her comfortable and he looked away..

My point was, his gaze is anything but psychotic.

The more he falls for Sadaf, the more he will soften as a person and hence the gaze will become softer.

I feel he does sleep with them or some of them. Bilal himself used the words marasim and dosti as two separate terms when talking to Sadaf. If he just wanted to talk or have someone pour him a drink, why must it be a hot girl dressed in a sexy slinky outfit. Even his domestic staff can pour him a drink, he could have just spoken to a therapist, or talked to girls online or on the phone, or ranted to whoever is his bakhtu equivalent at home. This specific scenario to only have a hot girl in a sexy outfit come over can't be so innocent - even if there's no full blown sex, there would be some sexual component to it. Rameen especially was touchy feely with him so there was definitely some physical component to their relationship.

Honestly I just can’t with Ammar and his crying anymore

Agreed, this is how I see it too.

His image wouldn't have been that of a casanova if he used anybody else. There is a very famous Rajesh Khanna movie where he meets Sharmila who is a escort every night but all they do is simply have conversations...he has a tarnished image for the world but he keeps reiterating, kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna.' One of the most beautiful movies, this is how love story writers usually think I feel, a little away from practicality.

Plus the escort wouldn't have said that she is the happiest when he calls her coz all she has to is smile and converse & gets loads of money....Also, if they were sleeping together, he woudn't have asked her if they were not friends.

These girls could be touchy, feely and comfortable with him but I guess they just spend the night conversing and drinking together

Also Rameen felt jealous and asked if he found someone else.

I don’t know but I feel there is more but it isn’t the most important aspect of their relationship (or whatever you would call it). It could have started out sexual but as time went by, he depended more on them for talks. Now he’s used to them and keeps calling them for that. I don’t think that means it never goes anywhere else but maybe less so in recent times.

The scene convo -

She says, 'Mujhe apne aapko tumhare aage bechna nahi pata.'

Dosti ke naam pe muskura dene se aur tumhe peg banakar dene se mera kuch nahi jata'

Bilal then asks, 'so you think we are not friends?'

She clarifies, 'we are not friends. Dost apni dosti ki keemat nahi vasool karte..aur main toh poori keemat vasool karke jati hoon'

These lines are pretty clear as per me to indicate he doesn't sleep with them.
