Even in e8, if Sadaf had just propositioned him once instead of keep on repeating I'll do anything would have made the scene feel much less bizarre and offputting. This is why my main issue is direction/execution not the writing. KRQ has set a good enough blueprint and structure but it is up to the director whether he can translate it and elevate it.

KRQ's writing style itself is such. I don't think he allows people to chop off his lines or scenes.

Coming to Sadaf repeating her proposition, I feel she was nervous but also trying to compose herself and ensuring that she sticks to her proposition. Hence she kept repeating it. Having said that, if she had said it thrice instead of 5 times even then it would have been fine.

I agree on the direction and editing. They should try to make it more crisp. Though the story has depth, it's movement is slow too which doesn't help either.

These kind of shows have their own fanbase tbh. The story is not run off the mill so far and that's why there is an intrigue as to what will happen. Wahaj is surely popular but I feel views do not come solely coz of actors until and unless the drama itself is worth watching for the audience.

Instead of getting 2 separate scenes, I am glad they wrapped it up in one scene itself.

I was talking of all 3 things illness ,2 crore requirement and arrangement

The cancer news too ,it was weird the way Saba Hameeds character was informed ,that is not a way to let a mother know of her kids illness

Scenes ki baat nhi h because anyways she had a scene with the mother afterward

They could have easily reversed the 2 scenes to make more sense

Normally no daughter will let her mother know of brothers illness like this , it was unrealistic

The hairstyle is different. Also he looks slimmer in the first scene.

Logically one wants the loved ones to be mentally prepared before such news

It would have been better had she informed the mom before taking her to doctor

I didn't mind it. It was understandable to me why Sadaf may have done it.

Maybe she felt if the news was coming from a credible professional (who could also give the solution to the problem) and in a public setting, her mom would be more restrained in her reaction and less likely to fall apart. Plus she may be awkward about disclosing to her mom about the 8 crore and how she would react. So bringing it up in a public setting meant her mom would have been more controlled and less censorious in her reaction.

As kids we have probably done this. Tell our parents we did something bad while in semi-public knowing that mom and dad will control their ghussa when in public. but would have otherwise really exploded if we told them this at home.

I feel we are very critical of fictional cktrs expecting them to act in just one way that we think is correct. when in reality human beings react in different ways based on their mental bandwidth, insecurities, fears, individual personality traits.

I guess I agree with the awkward part ,makes sense

but regarding the more restrained part can the reaction to cancer be restrained ? I doubt that

I didn't find it unrealistic. The mother knew Sadaf needed massive amounts of money. Sadaf assures her by giving her 8 crores and then the doctor himself informs her that while he has cancer, it's very much treatable. So, coming from the doctor's mouth that the treatment is possible and Z will get well is what lessened the impact of the news for the mother.

I thought I was the only one who couldn't see the difference so I chose to stay mum 😭

I mean in terms of not having a full emotional break down. Generally when doctors break serious news of illness or impending death to family, people try to not have a meltdown in public and control their emotions. They may weep but won't start bawling. The zor zor ka rona dhona and matam log phir ghar jaa kar karte hain not in a doctor's office.

I think Wahaj can be one of the factors but right now the track

People may be irritated with slowness but it's intriguing that when will Bilal and others know about the cancer and how will everyone react to it
