Too much man. I get that MJ was a villain role but thora tone down kerna chahiye tha. It pushed so much of the audience away unfortunately

I m watching jafaa where mohib's character has similar issues even if it's not the same, it's similar. N the dude is doing it so well. He has proven how a person with anger issues and psychological problem can be portrayed without shouting at the top of the voice and OTT expression!

True. Panic attacks at least are in every other show now. Even if it’s not some full fledge psychological issue. Anxiety depression panic attacks are so commonly portrayed. One of my recent favorites has been Hania’s scene as Sharjeena in the bathroom on her wedding night in KMKT. So nuanced and effectively performed.

Have heard good things about Jafaa. Might watch it later. Mawra isn’t discussed as much as she should be. She has pretty decent script choices.

Why does Thursday/Sunday slot matter? TB aired on a Thursday slot and was a BB.

You mentioned about good OST/actors are enough to make a drama hit. I am just pointing out thats not the case. In some case, like in PKS due to OTT acting by the lead actress, the show flopped bad. It's written by Zanjabeel and directed by Rind. So, the team was solid.

And as you can see in the poster you linked, it has four really good looking actors, and that unfortunately makes other one stand out negatively. Really should have styled better and taken a wig that covers the forehead

I said good OSTs with popular actors, and of course drama should also be good/above average. Hum TV puts good dramas on Sunday Slot as it is their premium slot. PKS was a good drama, but it didn't perform well on TV for the reason I mentioned above.

More than mawra, it's the other pair and mohib's performance keeping me hooked to the show. I think Mawra's character will have more to do in later part of the drama.

In USA for instance, NBC, CBS and ABC are free channels. I can access them with just an antenna. Note that formal cable operators tend to be in big cities. But even in big cities, there are several illegal cable operators.

I don't know what Hum revenue sources are. Maybe it's subscription revenue from international markets where Hum may be accessed via cable subscription only. I see Hum is available in multiple international markets (https://www.humnetwork.tv/international/). But at least for a viewer living in Pakistan watching linear TV, there is no difference in access between three.

It is surprising that HUM network is earning 25% of its revenue from international markets in the form of subscriptions while ARY and Geo are free (if they are available in international markets)

The drama had a good team, writer, director, actor and OST... and still flopped. Just like GM did despite the hit Jodi of KRQ-Humayun.

You never know. According to latest analysing tools on this thread the blame may fall squarely on his receding hairline - imagined or not

Hum TV uploaded PKS playlist thrice. The views should be the addition of the three. It didn’t do well on TV but it got appreciation from everywhere. But yeah I remember people were confused whether Mahjabeen was naive or mentally challenged initially. When they started showing Abdullah problematic, reviews did turn into her favour.

I personally started liking her after marriage. Her earlier scenes with her mother were OTT. I remembered this because I watched Yumna’s scenes in GM today after KDH review. She definitely acted OTT as Atiqa pointed out, kinda reminded me of Kareena Kapoor from MPKDH.

The thing that held me back from trying this show out is that it seems like the sane characters are the doctors in both the couples and they’re somehow turning therapists for their respective spouses Doctors ko koi maslay nahi ho saktay kya ?

But the show has been doing so well. Happy for the team.
