A fan account can't increase or decrease the rating of a valid company like this because if it does, then it will be considered a wrong rating.

From the top three channels PDPTRP’s data is only different for Hum dramas because they use a different scale & it’s less than what Hum posts. They consider 15 to 35 age group for sectors ABC mainly & sometimes consider sector D as well like they did for Zard this week. They also considered 15 to 45 age group for Zard this week. I didn’t even notice that the post has written that it’s considering channel flyers this week. But I was skeptical about KMKT’s & Bismil’s TRPs posted as such when ARY showed it for content average & not average slot. Technically the TRP should have been lesser.

For Green shows they follow a completely different scale of 20 to 40 age group for sector B only.

We have a similar page Gossips TV for ITV as well. BARC India used to make its data public earlier now it’s paid. So Gossips TV gets its data from them & posts it on twitter. People do consider it valid although it’s also a fan page & not an official page.

My point is there was a huge hue & cry over MJ’s ratings being low. Why was PDPTRP considered a valid source by some people here that time? Hum didn’t post its TRPs for even one week. It wasn’t made for ratings.

GossipTV is a fan page too, he is a 16 years old Jenshad shipper, hated HC's other pairings lol but this is a business for him, everyone is biased to one person on another, doesn't mean they'll ruin their business for it.

PDPTRP has been considered as a credible source for a very long time now. Just because he posted about Sajal & commented under Wahaj’s post he can’t be discredited like that. He can have favourites. He also likes Yumna , Bilal & Danish. I read a QnA of him earlier.

As I said, there is no problem if a fan account posts TRPs; it's actually a good thing, but it shouldn't change TRP given by valid TRP companies. As per Geo, Jafaa TRP last week was 7.6, but this account increased it to 8.7. A few weeks ago, ARY posted that Jafaa TRP was 6.7, but PDP decreased it to 5.6; a fan account can't apply any formula of its own and change TRPs like this.

There should be a formula to convert the raw data into TRPs, he will be probably using that.

Defending him isn’t helping me anyway. I got to know about the page when Hum posted IM’s TRP as 22.2 & he reported it as 19. IM was my favourite show & him reporting its TRP lesser than Hum should have bothered me but it didn’t. Hypno told me there was a formula for converting ratings into a standard one.

This isn't raw data, it is TRP given by media logic or Kantar media to channels. Channels post TRPs not raw data. Hum post Pak total TRP sometimes with 15-35 F age group and sometimes with 15-45. Geo and ARY posts Urban TRPs of 15-45 age group.

You and I are saying the same thing that such tweaks take out the credibility of the source and bring a fan account, they can pretty much post anything.

However, a few are stuck on why Mann Jogi’s TRPs were called out to be poor. They were poor no matter which “source” you see. Channel flyers - if they even posted one for the show - wouldn’t magically have made the TRP amazing.

I am saying PDPTRP must be getting raw data & he’s converting it into a standard one.

I read somewhere that D & E sectors are probably the rural areas. Geo & ARY consider them. It’s Hum who doesn’t.

To my dear friend Tgota, which source posted MJ’s data apart from PDPTRP? We have no data except what he reported.
