AHAD AND SAJAL’S DHOOP KI DEEWAR: A STORY OF TWO MARTYR FAMILIES

Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir will be seen in multiple projects together. While we wait to hear more from their drama being directed by Aehsun Talish and the army drama by Safee Hasan, here is some interesting news from their upcoming web series Dhoop Ki Deewar.

Exclusive: Shamoon Abbasi to play Abhinandan in upcoming comedy film

The narrative by the maestro Umera Ahmed is from her upcoming novel that she has penned around the Pulwama attacks. This is another collaboration between the writer and director after their upcoming drama Alif. Considering their previous work we have high hopes from Dhoop Ki Deewar as well!

While talking exclusively to the web series’ director Haseeb Hasan we got some inside information about the series

The story is about two martyr families. Sajal plays a daughter of a Pakistani colonel while Ahad plays the son of an Indian Colonel. Both their fathers got martyred in the same war.

The cast of the series includes some big names like Savera Nadeem who plays Sajal’s mother, Samina Ahmed(Sajal’s grandmother), Zeb Rehman (Ahad’s grandmother), Samiya Mumtaz (Ahad’s mother), Manzar Sehbai. Adnan Jaffer, Zara Tareen, Paras Masroor, Hammad Siddiqui, Ainy Zaidi, Salma Hasan, Lubna Aslam, and Raza Talish.

We have shot the series as per international standards using 4k technology, as the series is aimed to be launched at an international platform.We are also planning on running it in Pakistan on television. The first season will be 26 episodes long with each episode of around 42 minutes.

The scale of the series is also massive and the shooting has been done at various locations of Pakistan including Swat,Kashmir and even the line of control. The series is being made in collaboration with ISPR so we will also be seeing some real army personnel in the series.

When asked what stage has the series reached, Haseeb revealed

We are aiming to complete it by November.The Pakistan shoot is almost complete then we have shoot in Kashmir.

Dhoop Ki Deewar is a produced under Hassan’s production banner, Hamdan Films in partnership with Motion Content Group Pakistan.

I just hope they do justice to the concept without degrading one country.

His name is Raza Talish, he was in Suno Chanda as Mitthu ,I watched him in Suno Chanda and I liked him a lot for his good acting

He was even better than the leads of the serial Iqra and Farhan , I liked them too, but his pairing with Sabeena Farooq was more likeable for me

He is currently doing a we series with Ahad and Sajal, he is laying the role of a captain

He is the son of acclaimed director Ahsan Talish who has directed many plays including Suno Chanda and Alif Allah Aur Insaan

I don't watch web series either

I wonder if this is gonna be on NETFLIX. If it is, that will be nice.
or
HUM or GEO or ARY could be launching their own streaming services with all their normal serials and a few web series, which would be nice
