I think yall are being hypercritical. Let the drama air for God's sake. Some of yall agree yourselves k Cheekh and MPTH were copies and so were many other dramas. But where's the outrage on their pages? I'm dead sure if I open one of those pages now I won't find a single "stop being such a crummy writer and do your own work" kind of broadside that I see here. Can we wait for 17 June please? I haven't seen the movie since I'm not into bollywood but if it really is a copy, I'll be the first one to grump at this show. But can we wait? I'm not being a blind fan because if that was the case I'd have watched MNJ despite my reservations regarding the script. Like I said earlier, inspiration isn't plagiarism so I don't know why yall are chanting "plagiarism, plagiarism" lol. I'm sure they'll give the credit to the original concept if it's entirely cribbed. I don't think HUM TV can stoop that low. Or maybe it's not cribbed at all? One film can have multiple storylines and different eras, characters, and settings can all coalesce into a single plot. So maybe, just maybe, the entire "sell your husband for some monetary gain" is just one plot? Similarly, one concept is used in thousand movies so you never know where it's actually inspired from. I'm sorry but Pakistani awam is overreacting here. They had no issues with KRQ's misogynistic dialogues. KRQ who prides himself on appearing respectable, as a writer working on racial equality initiatives but in fact denigrates and humiliates women, in and out of his stories. OK let's not go there. This isn't the right page to rank male authors and how awful they are to women. All I'm saying is be a more patient person. This may and may not be a copy. And if it really is, I'm sure they'll cite sources like "Kuch Tu Log Kahenge" did. Otherwise, I'm boycotting this. But let's give our rage some rest. Calling something out just by looking at few teasers is wrong. Cancel culture is wrong. All this cancel nonsense for no reason. 🙄

MTA is also a popular theme among masses. Two women fighting for one man. Yeh tu majority ki fantasy hai lol. Deep down I too have a hunch that Jalan is gonna top the trp charts but a drama can still be a hit on second spot. IZN was a semi hit on three lol. And a blockbuster online. So yeah let's not lose hope. Maybe Jalan and MTA will go side by side like Dar Khuda Say and Ruswai. Who knows?

Thank you for saying what needed to be said. Personally I feel it’s the cast that’s already a target for people for no reason.. Zahid and Sonya get trolled a lot but they still never say anything. And yes Pakistani audience is overreacting. If a show like Tamanna is a “super-hit” already despite using the same old formula, this show can use a movie and be a hit. Even MPTH was similar to Khasara, just with more “scandalous” dialogues. In a industry where nearly 50+ dramas are aired every on a weekly basis across multiple channels, it’s going to get hard to keep each show original. And I respect that. I watched Hasad, Khasara, etc. and I enjoyed them too. It’s just I don’t like this pick and choose culture we have. So while one show can have the exact same story as another and not a single person is saying to boycott it or something, then why should we “cancel” this show. Let it be, let the first episode air then make a decision.

Now, someone tell me, if they didn't know that it was copy, shouldn't they sue their director and writer who are actually responsible for bringing the original content and not the actors but they are taking it lightly, that does mean that they already know it was a copy and pretending to be not knowing and shocked.

Next thing, if the main cast didn't know about the Judaai movie, but it's possible that supporting cast (especially Javed Sheikh, who has worked in many Bollywood movies and belong to generation of Sri Devi and Anil Kapoor) at least would be knowing about Judaai or any person from Production house.

I am sure, they all knew very well it's a copy including Hum TV and doing this all to fetch ratings, nothing else.

Though, Bollywood is no less and they also do the same and we have umpteen number of shows in Pak dramas, which are copy. Cheekh was also similar to Damini movie and all other dramas too repeat the same content again and again. Same extra marital affairs, Nanad Bhabhi plots, love triangle. Execution matters in the end and how they present it.

I just hope, this drama, turns out to be less depressive in comparison to others. Those who haven't watched Judaai, they might like it. And this kind of stories do click with masses.

Zahid was being sarcastic for sure. I dont think its a copy bas concept same hoga

But this drama has the disadvantage of being on Hum which gets the least trps among the 3 channels. I hope with the amount of promition they are doing they manage to get more viewers. But i feel this drama will just be popular on yt
