So here are my two cents on this suicide angle :
No, I didnt like it one bit ...death in any form is scary. Suicide even more..
Seeing Zubiya face everything so bravely since such a young age, I as a viewer didn't expect her to jump.
But when she did, I realized that we viewers might have understood her character in a different way compared to what the writer intended.
She became a beacon of hope for Khajista and stood up so bravely for her so why would she end up trying to take her own life?
But, though I am not supporting what she did, I do understand where she is coming from...the one thing she had left in the world was her dignity and respect which she had worked so hard to gain. And when she saw Rehaan with Asfi, she assumed that she was going to lose it all.
And that I guess was her breaking point. Everyone has one. In that moment, she assumed all her peace and happiness was going to be snatched away and the made lose her mind.
Like when she is walking towards the river, you can see she isnt totally aware of what she is doing or where she is going.
The fear and shock of losing her respect and the love of people she loved (Asfi and his family) propelled her to take such a drastic step..
Personally , I would have loved to see Zubiya tell her own story to Asfi...given SaHad's talent, they would have aced such a scene.
But, ab kuch kar nahi sakte
Yes, suicide should never be shown as a last option but I cant bring myself to judge Zubiya for this.
