I felt that they can converse as equals in many ways but till they get married and start their physical relationship, Zubia cannot be cool when Asfi gets personal. This is totally out of the realm of her personal experience..

Asfi however is so smitten with her and he so enjoys her discomfiture ( ala their earlier car ride) that he cannot resist making her blush

That Elizabeth Bennet! I should've guessed. That was a powerful character written by my favourite Jane Austen.
