Wow so now she has a problem with Aan too

Do the makers want us to hate her or feel sorry for her?

Coming to episode 2, i partially agree with you guys that Ayla doesnt look like a bipolar person, also from whatever i have studied too Bipolar person switches between mania and depression...dont know for sure that does a bipolar disorder makes a person shakki as well 😕 btw her head banging on restroom wall was a bit too extreme for me, i was like what the h*** is she doing 😲 i just hope they handle the mental health issue well because its a very sensitive topic

Apart from that i love Aan's mom...she is so chill type, sometimes she reminds me of Saima chaudry from baraat series, may be because of punjabi accent...nevertheless i love Hina Bayat 😳

Men cheat and have affairs with perfectly sane wives, there are so many shows on that. Yahan toh at least the girl has an mental illness, what's going to keep Harib from not looking else where, I know it's wrong but it's the truth, that's men for ya (no offense to the men here or Usman lol)
I have been married long enough and know plenty of my husbands friends to know that men don't need a reason to have affairs.

I agree with ppl here that if they are showing mental illness they should handle it carefully and give solutions.

First of all, I think Ayla is the one at fault here, knowing her problems she should have seeked professional help rather than getting married.

Please I come in peace, I only said what I was thinking, my opinion might not be yours, but let us watch and see what happens next.

@bold i agree with this part...sorry no offence to men but i have seen men in real life having faithful wife but they start to have extra marital affiar without any reason...so if Harib does the same atleast he has a reason ( though not justified either) 😆

I love Okb from his you tube videos, he looks good in them too, I don't know why he looks this way in the dramas, seems like he has kajal on.
Also agree with star on maya Ali and hina bayat taking a break. Maya's look and expressions are same as mannu's, it's like mannu moved in to another family.

Osman is a very likable person generally speaking. I like him too..but I always felt he wasn't the best of actors. He can be very stiff...and he can not effortlessly emote. He has moments where he does well, but overall...it's hard for me to say that he can usually excel onscreen.

He was great in Aunn Zara, but Haissam Hussain knew how to utilize his strengths and weaknesses. Comedy is also his strongest genre as an actor I feel. Otherwise, I hardly ever find him convincing when romancing for instance. He needs to let loose..he's extremely stiff with his expressions. He hardly uses his eyes to emote. At times, it's as if he'll burst out laughing when trying to smile 😆 Also, I personally feel him and Maya are overdoing it with their pair onscreen. When you work with different actors, you get to bounce off of different people and sometimes it helps the actor do better. Osman constantly romancing Maya..and Maya constantly romancing him doesn't help them or the audience see them grow as performers. No offense to their fans.

With that said, I'm looking forward to Osman's film Balu Mahi with Haissam. He's one director you can count on to help most actors shine. Going by the posters, it looks really good.

@starstruckk Hi :)
I agree with you to some extent regarding Osman's acting abilities.. Aunn Zara was his best performance to date without a doubt and I think Haissam is one of the best directors an actor can work with. While I wasn't too impressed with that official Balu Mahi poster (it looked like a bad rip off of 'Suraj hua madham' that I'd rather expect to see in one of his Vlogs), I'm too extremely excited for the movie, having complete trust in Haissam.
However, Osman did really well in the second half of Diyare Dil, and as far as romancing goes, the last episode in my opinion did show his capabilities on that front. The stiffness for sure is an issue, maybe it'd help if he'd work on more projects to get a grip on this. He's very choosy - which is a good thing in some respects- but to evolve as an actor, it'll come handy if he'd act more often.. with different directors, in more diverse roles, with other co-actors..

Which leads me to your other concern regarding the pairing.. It's obviously not the actors who choose the cast for a play, and if they get offered big and good projects together, e.g. AZ, DeD.. I guess you'd think twice before refusing.. You're right, one can't deny the fact Osman has to a huge extent worked with Maya only.. and I pretty sure more than us, they're aware of this themselves. Unfortunately his other projects with Sana Javed and Aiza Khan didn't make it that big, for them to be remembered by lot of people- so this adds onto that. For your reassurance, Osman's future projects (1 drama and 2 movies) don't feature Maya.. so you may just have to endure them one last time in Sanam. Waise bhi ab kya hosakta hai, you can't remove one of the actors in retrospect, so enjoy (..or maybe don't?) whatever you're being served for now.. I do understand what you're trying to say though.

..Having said that, their Jodi has a MASSIVE fan following and is one of the biggest reasons (if not only) Sanam was being anticipated for about 11-12 months now (include me on this).. their fans are practically everywhere and for a lot of people Osmaya is the only reason they're watching this serial anyway.. I'm quite sure their pairing won't be a reason for Sanam's downfall.. and I, alongside many others, can't hold my excitement to see them create their magic once again, maybe one last time..

Maya has done a lot of projects without Osman, and has 'successfully romanced' other costars, be it in Shanakht, Laadon main pali, Mera Naam Yousuf hai etc.. and she has proved her mettle as a standalone. She's someone who works hard and I've never seen her defending herself unnecessarily no matter how much criticism she might get. I really like her offscreen too.. she comes across as a very loving and jolly person, without being disrespectful or bitchy..and s.o. who at the same time is very capable her profession and is passionate about it.
Regarding you being fed up by her, I can assure you there will be a break after Sanam, since she isn't taking up any dramas nowadays, as far I know. So you may take a sigh of relief at this point 😆. I agree her look as Aan is a bit too similar to Mannu and she can't change her face obviously.. but from her acting and her characterization she doesn't remind me of Mannu at all- at least not until now. It's a bit unfortunate Sanam started right after Mann Mayal, since Mannu/Maya is still very fresh on our minds but I guess delaying Sanam furthermore just because of this wouldn't make sense in the bigger picture (it was initially supposed to air before MM, since it has been shot to a huge extent right after DeD, before they started shooting MM)..

Soo yesss, I very clearly have had too much time on my hands today.. but I love reading the diverse and objective opinions of you guys.. it opens room to a lot valuable discussion :)

My excitement for BaluMahi pretty much went down in the pits when I read it's written by the same guy who has wrote Bachaana. Admittedly, I haven't seen Bachaana but that one line from the trailer, "Ladki Hindustani ho ya Pakistani, ladki ladki hoti hai" haunts me to this day. Haissam is a great director so I hope he chose a script worth it all. All the gorgeous shots he'd definitely give us will just be a beautiful wrapping to an empty box if that's not the case.

Also, I don't get this criticism of Maya that she's "everywhere". She's not. She's just had back to back shows and it's not her fault both of her previous shows were high profile and talk of the town when they aired. Look at the other actors. No one says anything when Faisal Qureshi (just taking his name as an example) keeps on churning shows on ARY with little or no break in between, or even doing two shows in one week on the same channel. Zahid Ahmed's two shows were airing on the same slot on the same day on two different channels with another show on the following day. Same goes for Iqra Aziz. Sami Khan does it on Geo.

Yeah, it wasn't the best decision to replace Mann Mayal with Sanam but even so, it's not like Maya is being shoved down our throats. Maya is hardly there in Sanam. The story doesn't even revolve around her (yet). In episode 2, Aan's paternal side of the family got more footage than she did. Neither her character's personality, nor the way the character is shown is same as Mannu or even Faraa. The seemingly similarity can be owing to the director as well...it's not just Maya's back to back show, it's Maya's show with Haseeb. It's good she is vacationing and taking a very well deserved time off. I hope she relaxes for some good time and pick up a project as far away from Haseeb as possible. What wouldn't I give for Mehreen to work with her again?
