I for one never watched any of the turkish serials nor anyone in my family or friends. Not because they are turkish or whatever but because they never grabbed my attention. I used to often come across them while flipping the channels and they were all a big WTH for me after watching 5 mins. of a scene only.

Misconceptions, I lived in Riyadh so I ll only speak for Riyadh, I went to the mall and did groceries without my husband or any other mehram...In my compound there was a bus service which used to take the ladies out everyday, we used to have a weekly schedule which told us where the bus was going...other than that service..the grocery stores used to send their own buses to compounds to pick up customers, again it was weekly and at fixed time...i lived like a queen over there, not to worry about driving and parking...I wish I can go back there, had an amazing time...btw, i was the only desi who used the grocery buses,me and other arab ladies, mainly lebanese and egyptians...all my desi friends waited for the weekend and took their husbands grocery shopping😆...what a waste of a weekend...desi's are so spoilt I tell you.😊
