I genuinely don't know anyone who watches Turkish dramas. I think they're probably only popular with Pakistani's actually living in Pakistan. In the UK most people don't even know they exist.

I disagree. The corruption in middle-eastern and less economically developed countries is more overt. However western countries are just as corrupt, it just so happens they manage to veil the corruption better.

For instance we always talk about Pak politicians stealing money. The same happens in the west. Take the UK for example, most of the conservative MEP's have been caught red handed (1) using tax money to pay for holidays, and invest in properties, and (2) not paying tax at all.

None of them have been fined, imprisoned, or taken to court for their offenses, yet the government continues to very harshly reprimand people on benefits for genuine reasons.

There was the Gary Barlow thing recently. He's been dodging tax but David Cameron stood up from him and stopped him from having to pay the normal fines, because Barlow is a tory supporter and gives them a lot of money.

On the other hand when Jimmy Carr was found to be dodging taxes Cameron publicly ridiculed him, and reporters harassed him outside his house. Why? Because he's a labour supporter.


That's just one example. There are loads of other things like this happening (for instance the Leveson enquiry).

Oh ok. I haven't come across that one. But I do agree, it's scary to see the state of some 'muslim' countries. To be honest I don't consider a lot of them 'muslim' countries. They twist sharia to suit their own needs.

At the moment though I think all the countries are pretty even in terms of corruption.

Agreed. Nobody gives a toss about them here in the UK, hardly anybody wants to know. They're solely focused on Pak dramas.

I agree. What really frustrates me is the election rigging, and how so many people still vote for PPP and PMLN despite the crap they've pulled in the past. How do people forget so quickly?

People there are so ignorant. They just believe what they are told to.

There are forums for star plus serial's you know😆...this is Pakistani drama's forum...you started off with praising Turkish serials, now you are praising star plus...I watch pakistani drama's but my husband doesnt...and I do not force him...is someone forcing you to watch?😕...to each their own...I get it, you do not like Pakistani drama's, there are many like you...its ok...it really is.
