We may not be the best in films and our Lollywood industry is not all that great, but when it comes to music....NO ONE CAN BEAT PAKISTAN. I am sorry to say, but although India may have the SRK's and Big B's of bollywood...when it comes to music....they don't have jack. 😕
Pakistan's music industry is one of the best and popular things Pakistan has. Singing is not as important than the actual music itself. We have bands like Fuzon, Mekal Hassan Band, EP, Jal, Noori, Zavia, Aaroh...and I can go on. We have singers like Atif Aslam, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Javaid Bashir, Hadiqa, Ali Azmat (my fav 😳 ) and so many more.
So, bollywood takes yet another song from Pakistan...I am not surprised at all. Can we help it if our music is just that great? 😃 But one thing I can't tolerate it taking our music and NOT giving credit where its due. If you are gonna take the music, then at least acknowledge the artist you have taken the song from. I really don't like it when bollywood takes a song from a Pakistani artist and take all the credit for it. For example, "Bheege honte tere" by Najam Shiraz was HIS song. Whether it was taken or asked for by bollywood I don't know, but it was featured in the movie Murder and sung by Kunal Gangawala. Kunal Gangawala bag's the award for the song and takes credit for it. Not once did I hear Najam Shiraz's name come up in his thank you speach. Now I could be wrong here but from the times I have seen him (kunal) get awards for the song, he takes the credit for it. BUT ITS NOT HIS SONG. Its Najam's song.
Again, to end off, I am not surprised at all that bollywood AGAIN has taken a Pakistani song. Its just one more to add to the list. Giving your song with your consent and knowledge is fine...but taking it without consent and copying it and not giving credit where its due is just wrong. I would like to see if ABR's name comes up anywhere for this song. 😕
In a way, I take it as a compliment cause it really show's who has the brains and who doesn't. I mean if ABR was smart enough and come up with this song and Bollywood has to copy it without trying to come up with an original....well...doesn't say very much for Bollywood's music industry does it?
PAK MUSIC ALL THE WAY! 😃
