It was duo round this time and it was just so good to see contestants give their best, even in the Prelims. It was like watching Semi finals..avlo viru viruppa irundhudhu.
But there were too many contestants and it's hard to remember who did what. Out of the few I saw, I really liked the pairs who performed for "Dailamo Dailamo" song / "Kummi Aadi, Kummi Aadi" and "Yennaatha solvenungo, vadumaanga oorudhungo" songs.
If I could vote, it would be for the Kummi Aadi pair. Extremely energetic performance.. the girl was just too good! This pair got very good comments from all the Judges and a special gift and blessings from LalithaMani.
Guys.. do u remember the 'Nsync' brother and sister pair who danced for the Polladhavan remix song in the last episode of Super Dancer? Now the brother is back with another girl as his pair and changed the duo's name from NSync to "Sizzlers". So, his sister is not in this contest? Not sure.. But definitely, his sister danced way better in the last program, than the new pair he's got.
This time, the brother has a cute girl as his pair - he said they were both in the 11th standard - which means they are only 16! They danced for "Minnal oru kodi" song from VIP. The guy danced very well.. I didn't think the girl matched up to his skill. Besides, she wore a really long skirt and spent half the time holding her skirt up while trying to dance, so she wont trip and fall. I wasn't all that impressed with their overall performance, although all the judges unanimously said it was a splendid performance. I hope this is not going to be a "Anita-repeated". But I do trust the boy has a lot of talent!
Among the Judges, Lalithamani is very sharp in her observation. At the same time, she is extremely hard on some (poor contestants), and forces them to admit what she thinks is right. Example: there was this one pair and she kept on saying, you forgot some steps to the male dancer, even though the contestant kept saying that he was really sure that he didn't forget his step, just that his steps were different from that of the girl.
She definitely has to go easy on her comments, being rude as a Judge doesn't help.
If I'm not mistaken, Lalithamani now runs a school and is the Principal. I don't know if she got used to too much authority and that's what makes her speak like that on the show as well, but it's no excuse. Jyothilakshmi is also a good observer but says only a few things, and says it politely. I like her approach.
Malvika is just the same, except for her hairstyle.. nothing more to add.

Indha vayasuleyum ippadi pattaya kelappureengale?! At the close of the episode, (what they used to call the "Malvika step" before) every one dances and the camera was fully focussed on Jyothilakshmi's certain @#$#%%$ assets 😳
Malvika, Keelvika nnu yaaraiyum kandukkaama, Jyothilakshmi did her own bit.. she danced well and looked ravishing in her black saree.. vera ennatha solla?!
