CHAPTER 19

"stop it! I said stop all of you!" a voice boomed in a loudspeaker. yashoda peeked out & spotted an entire police battalion at the entrance of the depot. the rowdies who are creating the riot were soon rounded up & arrested by the policemen. feeling the riot die down gradually, nagesh moved away from yashoda. he stumbled dizzily & fell to the ground. "nagesh!! are you alright?" yashoda helped him up. he leant on her for support but was smiling despite the pain he was experiencing.

yashoda's concern for him eased all his pain in an instant. nagesh spotted aryan, meneka & james coming towards them. aryan ran over & walked nagesh to the nearest bench. "hey nagesh, are you alright?" aryan was looking worried. "I'm fine." nagesh replied seriously. "but he's bleeding!! someone call a doctor!!" yashoda fussed over nagesh. aryan smiled & sent for a doctor.

the doctor gave nagesh a through checkup but found nothing wrong with him. the injuries had been just on the surface. yashoda heaved a sigh of relief as she heard the doctor's reassuring advice that nagesh would be alright. james came over & enquired about nagesh's health. when he heard that nagesh was recuperating well, james smiled happily. "oh yes yashoda. I forgot to inform you that your bus ticket is ready. the bus leaves in 20 minutes." he gave the ticket to a shocked yashoda. she had completely forgotten about her trip. meneka nudged aryan when she spooted the look of utter dismay on nagesh's face.

"are you really leaving?" meneka asked yashoda. yashoda shot a look at nagesh & expected him to say something but he didn't so she took it that he didn't love her. "I am leaving akka. I need some time alone." she hugged meneka. "thank you nagesh. thanks a lot for what you did for me today." she thanked nagesh sadly. he nodded equally depressed. "please ask me stay. please ask me to stay.." yashoda prayed as hard as she could but nagesh didn't utter a word.

"please stay yashoda… can't you understand me? how will I live without you?" nagesh's heart cried out but he didn't say anything to yashoda. she turned to leave & meneka hugged her again. yashoda's eyes were shining with tears but she didn't meet nagesh's gaze. "bye." yashoda bid goodbye to nagesh with a tone of finality. she boarded the bus while nagesh looked on, his entire being crying out for her. "you missed a golden opportunity man. bad luck." aryan touched his shoulder sympathetically while james & meneka just shook their head in sadness.

the three of them left for home but nagesh didn't follow them. instead he stared the bus which was about to leave. he was still holding onto the hope that yashoda might not leave. when the conductor yelled that the bus was leaving in 2 more minutes, nagesh knew that he had to do something. he ran towards the bus like his entire life depended on it.

yashoda was sobbing hard. nagesh didn't even look at her. he didn't ask her to stay. "I might never see him again." yashoda cried even harder when the thought crossed her mind. "don't go. please." a voice came from above. yashoda looked up to find nagesh standing there, all sweaty & breathless. "nagesh.. what are you doing here? I thought you.." yashoda faltered. nagesh's sudden appearance had taken her completely by surprise. "don't leave yashoda. come back with me." he told her softly. "but why? why do you want me to come home with you?" yashoda questioned nagesh. "because I love you." nagesh professed his love for yashoda. she stared at him, wondering if he was just kidding.

"are you kidding? this is not funny nagesh." yashoda remarked angrily. her heart was already hurting & this nagesh was making a joke out of it. "no yasho. I am dead serious. I love you. I love you more than myself! I know I've hurt you but I'm sorry. would you give me another chance?" he begged her tenderly. "what do you think I am? a plastic doll? you hurt me then now you want to make it up so easily! i…" yashoda's anger was cut short when she felt nagesh's lips on hers. the rest of the onlookers gasped in shock as nagesh kissed yashoda right in the middle of the crowded bus.

this chapter was dedicated to nagesh & yashoda. to their love story which i myself have really begun to love!😳😳 lols! comments & suggestions are welcome!

Wow another fan for leeena nd sorry maha aunty if u don midn u iiad u r old and love has no age barriers anyoen can talk about it. If u dotn tak it personal may i aks ur age. becas u sounds sweet so if i knwo ur age i can call u either aunty, granny, etc. or u decide wht do u want us to call you. but the post s really cute in pure tamil.

Leens jus only read the thing abt trisha's comments i sent u said abt modern city I think you got it wrong i meant the modern city of people updere wo doesnt want to talk tamil nd nto the thing u tht abt. nd i only said its not only her fault but her parents shld hav made dere daughter study tamil nd skol. som are trisha's fault but majortly her parents' not only to trisha but many pl updere cnt read or write tamil dey can only speak it nd felt bad pl uphere spend dere time goin to tamil skols nd learing tamil, clasical dance nd etc but pl updere doesnt give a dam abt it wich s worrying factor for tamils. nd I felt ashamed of her not knowing tamil I think she shd learn tamil quickly as look at the other actress lik asin, mumtaj, nayan and everyon dey speak tamil so good. Well I am a fan of trisha but i think she shd consider learnin tamil as its her mother tongue.

CHAPTER 20

nagesh didn't know what came over him but he had suddenly kissed yashoda on impulse. he could find no other way to express his love for her. yashoda had misunderstood his sincerity for a joke. how could he blame yashoda? he had behaved in such a way that yashoda would not trust him that easily. but now feeling her lips against his lips, nagesh knew that yashoda had finally understood him & his love. yashoda just melted into nagesh's arms. her heart was finally at ease. all the pain & sorrow had drained out replaced by sheer joy. nagesh had admitted his love for her publicly & was kissing her right in the middle of the bus.

someone whistled shrilly causing nagesh & yashoda to spring apart. people all around them were pointing, smiling, whistling & clapping. they had never witnessed a real love scene before & were enjoying the romantic show of affection between two real people. yashoda blushed deeply & smiled widely. nagesh grinned feeling all the tension in his body disappear in an instant. "shall we leave?" he took yashoda's hand in his. "yes, let's go back." yashoda smiled at him. they both waved goodbye to the rest of the people in the bus & made their way back home slowly. savouring every single second of being together.

they held each other's hand as they walked to his car. nagesh wanted to just hold her hand forever. he now knew how aryan must have felt when he was in love with meneka. nagesh cursed himself for not opening his heart to the wonderful feeling of love sooner. he had missed out on a great part of his life by staying so lonely & sullen. luckily he realised his mistake before he lost the love of his life yashoda. nagesh had already started dreaming of his & yashoda's life. how they will get married in a grand manner. how he'll look forward to seeing her every evening, how he'll shower her with so much love every single moment, how their babies will look like. nagesh wanted to live with yashoda, fight with her, make up with her, kiss her, hug her, he wanted to grow old with her.

"I love you!" he wrapped an arm around yashoda's shoulder. she felt so petite & delicate in his arms. she snuggled even closer to him basking in his warmth. "shall we get have something to eat? I'm really hungry!" yashoda asked nagesh. "sure!" nagesh drove towards the restaurant smiling lovingly at her. three months later, the situation was chaotic as the preparations for nagesh's & yashoda's wedding was underway. "yasho… are you ready???" meneka rushed into the room looking highly hassled. "wow! you look so cute!" she smiled at yashoda who was dressed in a pale blue silk saree. yashoda blushed deeply & she went to the wedding mandabam with meneka. nagesh's & her wedding had been fixed in a haste. yashoda was excited about starting a new life with nagesh. as she walked towards the mandabam, nagesh looked up & beamed brightly. he was just as excited about the wedding as yashoda was. in fact he was in such a haste to tie the thali around her neck, that he almost strangled her with it. "relax nagesh!" aryan teased him knowingly. nagesh grinned widely & winked at yashoda. his only complain was that james was not attending the wedding. he was in pondicherry attending to some urgent business.

the wedding went on without much hassle except when yashoda choked on a piece of halwa & nagesh had to almost knock the breath out of her in order to save her. they both laughed at the way their married life had started off. "you're already hitting me!" she laughed at him & he cracked up as well. besides that little event, meneka had a little surprise for aryan. "aryan.. I've got something to tell you." she pulled him away from a game of cards. "what is it?" he asked her, slighltly annoyed at being dragged away at a crucial point of the game. "my dates have been delayed." she told him blushing slightly. "what dates?" aryan asked her stupidly.

"my period dates aryan!" she replied back. "so.." aryan still wasn't catching up on it. "aryan, you're going to be a dad! I'm pregnant!" meneka almost yelled at him. aryan's expression changed from shock to pure happiness as the news sank in. "sometimes you're so dumb!" meneka scolded him gently. "oh my god! I'm so sorry sweetheart! I'm so happy now that I can almost burst!" he hugged her tightly & rushed off to spread the joyful news. meneka smiled after him & touched her tummy, "you're lucky baby! you've got a great dad!" she stroked it gently. it looked like that day called for double celebrations as two big events had taken place happily.

shalini, well, i guess it's trisha's parents fault for bringing her up that way. whatever it is, i'll never be her fan. i have this really intense indescribable dislike for her.😕
