Redemption-chapter 25

Iron is a very strong metal but add a little carbon to it and it becomes even stronger.Every material is made up of atoms which are very small parts. Some atoms hold together quite well, which is what makes some solid materials hard. Something made of pure iron is softer than steel because the atoms can slip over one another. If other atoms like carbon are added, they are different from iron atoms and stop the iron atoms from sliding apart so easily. This makes the metal stronger and harder.

There are those who go forth knowingly into battle,to wage war against those enemies who threaten to tear the fabric of society and life as we know it.Then are those into whom are added pain,guilt and the feeling of vengeance.Most of these burning souls fall into evil ways and fall into the darkness where they dwell and lie with the very demons whom they swore to kill.But then there are a few who shine through and come out stronger and with a single purpose.Annihilation.They are the angels of light and they stand in front, protecting us from the bad and dark side.Until the last breath is taken,until the last drop of blood pumps out,until the final beat of their majestic heart they will wage war and wreak havoc and rain vengeance on the dark side.


A single beam of light shatters the dark

The I phone's screen lit up in the gathering dark around the city and Rahul agarwal answered it.He knew it was from the kidnappers and they were calling to give instructions as to where the ransom had to be left and most importantly where he could find his grandchildren.

" You bloody idiot.I warned you not to call the cops and yet every news channel is flashing headlines about your grandchildren being kidnapped.Well,now face the consequences for your future generation will be found in pieces all over chennai."

Rahul did not know what was happening and all this threat finally took a toll on his body for he already was suffering from a heart ailment and he collapsed holding his chest.

Kandaswamy took the mobile from his friends hands " I am rahuls friend and i am talking to you for he is in no condition to talk.Tell me what needs to be done and i will get it done."

The voice " your stupid friend has alerted the police and now we have no other go but to dispose the kids when he could have listened to my instructions and kept his mouth shut."

Kandaswamy shouted in anger " yei.what are you going on ? Nobody has called the cops for we are here in the race course golf club and it is only me and rahul who are here.If you don't believe me,just hold and i will switch on the video conferencing mode and you can see for yourself."

Kandaswamy put the I phone into video conferencing mode and panned the phone all around them.

The voice whispered but with a bit of confusion in it " okay,just hang on and we will call you back."

Rahul's caddy who was also his personal assistant rushed to him with some medicine and water and he took it and then pitifully held kandaswamy's hands " Gundu, not just 10 crores.Tell them i am willing to give them all my wealth but please tell them to return my children safely."

Kandaswamy gently stroked rahul's head and comforted him " What the bloody hell ? Is this the time for you to buckle and weaken when it is in this situation that you have to stand fast and focus on what has to be done."

Rahul agarwal with tears pouring down his face " poda,ellarum unna mathiri irukka mudiyuma."

The i phone rang and the voice spoke to kandaswamy " okay.I think the driver we left behind was the reason for all this confusion.We couldnt take the car for it has Gps locater on it and the cops can easily track it and nab us.But no harm done.We will proceed as planned and will call you in five hours with the location where you need to drop the money.There is no compromise on this and remember that only one person should come carrying the cash to the location we give you.If we find even a tiny bit of suspicious activity on your part then understand that there will be no further calls and only death for those kids."

Kandaswamy with a hardened voice " okay.the money will be delivered as per your request.But let me also warn you that if the boys are harmed in anyway then you will be hunted down.We will find you eventually and then you will know what the meaning for the word pain means."

The voice was silent for a few seconds " just drop the cash in the location."


The Tamilnadu police dept is one of the most highly rated dept in this country.That is because of the quick results in case such as murder and kidnapping.The minute the news of the kidnapping of the grandsons of a prominent and high profile businessman came to their notice,the police dept moved quickly and a conference was arranged in lightning speed in the City police commissioners office.

Police commissioner mr.Rakesh menon looked at all the top ranking officers from all the depts and gave orders.

"Okay.everybody listen up.It is now confirmed that the two grandsons of mr.rahul agarwal named Ram,Balram have been kidnapped and this was done at about 4.00 p.m.The driver was found with a broken jaw and two nasty head wounds and is a bit delirious.from what we can gather he and the car were hijacked at gun point and after picking up the children from the school,they were transferred to another vehicle.The kids must be unconscious for we found traces of chemicals in the coke bottles in the rear seat.

Now i want one team to be in the hospital with the driver for he might just be able to give information that he might have forgotten and also to protect him since he is the only eye-witness.

Team two will go to mr.rahul agarwals house for security and also talk to him and his family members and clarify if this is just an ordinary kidnapping with ransom in mind or if it was done with enmity in mind.The same team will coordinate and monitor all calls to and from the house.

Team three will go to mr.rahul agarwals offices to give security and to talk to the man himself.By the way where is mr.rahul agarwal.

Acp trilok " sir,we have made repeated calls to the house and the mans office but we have not been given his personal number which is unlisted.We have brought pressure on the mobile service provider but hit a wall there and they have informed us that until we have a warrant and written authority from a magistrate they will not give information on mr.rahuls personal and unlisted no."

Commissioner mr.Rakesh menon threw his hands up in the air " bloody civilians.ok, i will personally make a call to the magistrate deenadhayalan who also happens to be a close friend of mine.Trilok,get the warrant and get the mans personal no.I know what he must be going through.he must have decided to pay the ransom under threats from the kidnappers not to contact us and we all know how that turns up.If we keep quiet they will tear us into shreds.If we try to help and if something goes wrong then they will rip us saying we bungled the case."


Commissioner mr.Rakesh menon looked at ACP balaraman " balaraman,start with our database in which we have info on all the gangs operating in chennai and its outskirts.Find out which gang has the capability and the balls to come into my city and carry out this kidnapping.I will make sure that none of the kidnappers have any balls remaining to do this.okay,out all of you and we meet again at exactly 8.00 p.m.Nobody goes home until this kidnapping is solved and the kids are safely back home.understood.now get out and go and do your jobs."



The I phone of rahul agarwal rang and he answered it with a trembling " heelllo"

The voice of the kidnapper whispered " 11.00 p.m.Pallavaram junction.there is a famous dhaba on the left hand side with a huge parking area.There will be a black innova with no 2324.Put the money inside the vehicle.There is another red renault logan with nos 3427 with all its windows darkened with sunscreen paper.You will find the boys in the backseat fast asleep.ask the person to start the car and leave without looking back.We have taken preventive and cautionary measures and if the person who is coming with the cash looks suspicious then the bomb rigged to the car will detonate.I have the trigger on my cell phone and all i need to do is just dial a number and then Booom."

Rahul agarwal looked at kandaswamy mudaliayar and told him the kidnapper's instructions.

" Gundu,honestly i don't know if i have the strength to go on my own for i doubt if my heart will take the stress.What should i do.please help me da."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar smiled and patted rahul's shoulder comfortingly " you are right.you cannot go and neither can i.Both of us are too old for all this mayhem and not cut out to handle such evil.But i know of one person who can get this job done and i personally vouch for him.Let me call him."


The phone rang in the den of the sleeping lion.It woke in anger to hear news about evil and it rose to do battle as angels of light have battled demons from the dark over millennium.

At the same time I really salute the real life heroes who have helped the ones in need. There are so many stories I am reading and listening. Makes me proud to be an Indian.

Hi everyone. Thank you on behalf of Chennai and me for all your wishes and prayers. I am doing fine and honestly the rains did not affect me at all. Cat and mouse and into their game comes the lone wolf

Kandaswamy mudaliyar " Rudran,Trust me when i say this that i wouldn't have called you if i had known some other way to deal with this problem."

Rudran calmly and in a soft voice whispered " It is okay sir.Please tell me how i can be of help ? "

Kandaswamy mudaliyar explained the whole kidnapping matter and the demands the kidnappers had made of his friend rahul agarwal.

The fuse was lit to a nuclear bomb with the mention of two young children having been kidnapped and the clock in rudran's mind started its countdown to disaster and meltdown.His mind awoke to full capacity and it raced as it projected to rudran the complete picture and he growled " where do you want me to come and meet you and mr.rahul ? "

Kandaswamy mudaliyar " The police have gotten wind of the kidnapping and it is being telecast live as we speak."

Rudran " okay,then take it for granted that they will be reaching your location any moment.so leave now with mr.agarwal and do not inform anybody about where you are going.My department will do their best and probably will get to the kidnappers eventually but then the children will be put to risk and that is out of the question.so leave now,i mean right now and call me as you are in the car,where i should meet up with you."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar said okay and ended the call.He pulled rahul agarwal up and they both rushed to his car and drove off in a hurry.

A few minutes later two police vehicles reached the golf course and ACP Trilok jumped out of the car and rushed into the reception area and spoke to the man behind the desk " rahul agarwal,where is he. we need to talk to him right now."

The golf course front office man informed him that mr.rahul had just left and that the cops ahd missed him by a few minutes.

ACP TRILOK swore some bad words and then hurriedly turned to the manager and asked if there was anybody else with rahul agarwal.

The manager nodded "yes,he left with mr.kandaswamy mudaliyar."

ACP Trilok " what,kandaswamy mudaliyar.you mean the mr.kandaswamy mudaliyar."

The manager nodded yes.

ACP Trilok immediately pulled out his mobile and spoke to Police Commissioner mr.Rakesh menon " Sir we missed him by just a fe minutes.But there is another complication for he has left with mr.kandaswamy mudaliyar."

Commissioner mr.Rakesh menon sighed deeply " okay.and the hits and hurdles keep coming.Now we have to reach out to the big man himself and only the lord knows how many walls we have to break down before we get to them.Trilok,start by going to mr.kandaswamy mudaliyar's office and request his people for his personal phone number which i am sure is unlisted.I am going to call the chief secretary and ask him to inform the chief minister about what is happening.The situation is too high profile for us and i don't want my dept to get burnt by these civilians and their mistakes."


kandaswamy mudaliyar called rudran " mr.rudran,me and rahul are driving to a independent villa near Nanganallur.It is a place known only to me and a few others who will not disclose it under any circumstances.It is the place where i meet people from the highest echelons of the government office and ruling parties.It will give us total privacy at least for the time being and for the time it will take for you to go and deliver the cash and bring the children back safely.By the way i have made a call to a certain person who will be bringing the ransom and he should have come and gone before you reach here."

Rudran " okay sir.i will reach your street and wait for you to call me and inform me that the coast is clear.The reason being is that i do not want to be seen by anyone for i am part of the dept and well.that is all i can tell you right now."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar " i understand mr.rudran and no you don't have to confide anything to me.As it is i am thankful to you for agreeing to do this dirty work for us.But we both are old people and frankly speaking well out of our depth."

Rudran smiled " dont worry sir and please don't feel bad for these are extra ordinary situations and let me tell you frankly that even most of the police dept will panic if they are placed in one such a volatile matter.But then i have dealt with such people and know their psyches.I will be there soon and we will talk more.Just one thing,i want mr.rahul to be ready and have a clear mind when i talk to him for every bit of information is vital in these kind of situations."


Rudran ended the call and brewed a cup of strong black coffee and sipped it.Then leaving the cup still half full of steaming brew he went into the bathroom and stood under the cold cascade of the shower.The high speed shower blasted the sleep,weariness and left his mind crystal clear.Drying himself he slipped into a stretch type of black jeans and wore soft soled sneakers and then pulled on a black polo tee and using his fingers combed his damp hair back on his head.

Rudran picked up bhairav's photo and stared into his brother's eyes " two kids.two young boys.rudran and bhairav.This one is for you and me,just you and me."

The light flickered in the photo " lets get him rudra and remember you are not alone.you were never alone.stay behind me at all times.You are my life.you are my soul."

Long long ago,very long ago



The last angel of the light stood mortally wounded,blood gushing from many mortal wounds in its body and still it stood the last defender against the dozens agents of darkness.They swarmed around the angel,demons from hell taunting,mocking the entity of light and its master who had not been seen for many years now.The wall was the one that separated mankind and burning hell and the wall had been the group of angels who now lay dead around the one remaining mighty angel.

The lone star leaned on his spear and still raising his mighty sword gazed calmly at the darkness that surrounded him.Blood dripped into his eyes and clouded his vision and spirit but he was determined that he would protect,fight and defend until the last drop bled out of his lifeless body.The attack came and the angel prepared for the final stand and swirled his sword and roared a roar that sounded like a volcano bursting its crater and shooting its innards into the open sky.

The roar brought fresh light into his spirit and a new sense of vigor into his tiring limbs.He dove into the hordes and hacked,chopped and thrust into the evil darkness and soon only the angel and a few demons stood in the battle for earth and heaven.

The voice from the dark whispered " why do you fight for him when he has forsaken all of you ? Why do you still believe in the light when here in the dark you can be my prince ?. come,put down your weapons and accept me and stand by my side and let us rule this world."

The angel of light smiled " never.not even when i gasp my last breath.I am the light and he has not forsaken me for he is me and i am him.Come into the light and see what i see."

The angels eyes changed colors and the tattoos on his left arm writhed as if they were snakes.

He spoke " See these marks.They show and prove that i am marked as have been my kin who have gone before me and we are marked for we are the guardians of the universe.This planet must live for it has just begun its voyage and cannot be touched by you or your evil hordes."

The roars filled the skies and the war began.The angel of light and the warriors of darkness came together in blood and metal and so it continued,it continues,unseen,unknown waiting for the turn of the tide,waiting for the boy who would go into the darkness and come back with light.His name would be roared as AZHAGAN.

But that is another story for another day and he will come again and again and history will call him by different names.


Money matters


Commissioner mr.Rakesh menon stood near the window and then a thought struck him.He called a few of his top officers for a quick chat and he looked at them as they gathered around him.

"okay,these are the facts.Two grandsons of mr.rahul agarwal have been kidnapped.He is a very rich man and hugely influential.So we can take it for granted that the ransom will be a very huge amount,maybe between five to fifteen crores.No one,not even rahul agarwal or mr.kandaswamy mudaliyar will have so much cash lying around.so what does one in their position do but reach out to money lenders or hawala dealers.so gather information on all the people who are in the hawala racket and also money lenders who deal only with big clients and quietly put pressure on them and find out if either rahul agarwal or kandaswamy mudaliyar has gotten in touch with them.Place plainclothes men to monitor these people's households and establishments.we might just get lucky and we have not had one break on this case."

Commissioner mr.Rakesh menon would kick himself for not having thought about this earlier for Ramprasad godia had already reached the house where he was supposed to meet kandaswamy mudaliyar and deliver the ten crores which had been urgently requested of him.

Ramprasad godia had come in two vehicles with armed men for security for there was no telling who was watching or waiting to pounce on the cash and handed it over to mr.kandaswamy mudaliyar.

Kandaswamy mudaliyar " ramprasad,thank you very much for this timely help.I will call you in a weeks time and you can come and collect the cash with the interest."

Ramprasad " sir,dont worry about it.take your time.I am just happy that i was able to help.In future,if you you need more of this help,please call and fifty,hundred no matter how many crores i will come and deliver it to you."

After ramprasad godia had left rahul agarwal looked at kandaswamy " how is that they have so much cash lying around and how is that they are able to deliver it so fast.It has not even been an hour since you made the call and already this man came and has gone."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar laughed " rahul,all this is black money and belongs to one of the cabinet minister or maybe more.This ramprasad is just a benami for our ruling party rats and he launders their money,turning black into white and also giving out cash on high interest.How much do you think he will charge us for this cash.ten percent.so he makes a cool one crore profit for just a week or a month.If the cash is not returned on time then he will charge interest on the one crore and well you see what happens. One cannot do anything about it for he is protected by the very govt which is supposed to protect innocents in such situations.But it does not matter for we can afford it and now we just have to get this done and bring the children back safely."

The lights from a car outside their villa pierced their darkness and kandaswamy turned to rahul " he has come and he will take care of everything now."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar hurried to open the front door and welcome their visitor and rahul sat quietly lost in his grief.

He looked up on hearing the voice whisper his name " mr.rahul agarwal."

Rahul agarwal stood up and looked into the eyes of the man who stood before him and warmth returned to his soul and hope flooded his mind and he knew it was going to be all right.He took the hand extended and gently shook it and with tears in his eyes pleaded " just bring them back safely."

Saying these words rahul crumpled into the arms of the rock that stood before him and the tall stranger gently embraced him " it is okay,it is okay.i am here now.i will take care of everything and i promise to bring them back safely."

I write about light and the fight and the plight of its angels for life is meant to be lived in its bright and warm sights.Not for this mortal life the darkness for death will cover that saga. I believe in heroes,sacrifice and peace.

Starting with the first story where in the end mani,the quiet hero kills himself to stop his mother from killing to dhanashekara pandyan,to azhagan and now to rudran i have tried to tell and sing about heroes who protect and defend.Be well.

Rudran set his watch on a timer and requested Kandaswamy mudaliyar and rahul agarwal to sit down and then he himself sat opposite them.

Rudran " mr.rahul, do you have any idea or do you suspect anyone who might be behind this kidnapping ?"

Rahul agarwal shook his head " sorry sir.But i have no idea who it could be."

Rudran nodded okay and " mr.rahul.Tell me about your grandchildren.It does not matter how insignificant or silly it might sound but tell us everything for it might just make a difference in the end.

Rahul agarwal spoke for a few minutes about his grandsons and then looked at rudran " oh my god.I completely forgot such an important matter.sir,kush suffers from epilepsy attacks.So he wears a medical bracelet with a gps tracking system.The watch looks like an ordinary one but it is very expensive and we had it imported from the united states.You cannot trust kids for sometimes they just wander away and if kush did something like that and then had an attack,we would know where he is by the monitor in our house."

Rudran opened his laptop and logged into the site which provided information on the whereabouts of people who wore similar medical bracelets.He asked rahul agarwal for the password and logging into the account immediately identified the beep and the area from where it was coming.

Rudran looked at both of them " i think these guys are in two vehicles,which is usually the case and they keep driving around the area until the time comes when they have to collect the ransom.They will come to the spot probably half an hour before the meeting to collect the money but i think that we should not take that for granted and assume that they have posted lookouts in the meeting point to warn them if anything suspicious is happening around the area.Only when they get a clear signal,they will drive to the location to collect the money and handover the children."

Rudran leaned forward steepling his fingers and staring at the screen of his laptop and thought aloud " if this is a simple kidnapping.then i wonder why they threatened to blow up the kids.Because unlike you see in movies getting bombs,whether it is dynamite or semtex is very difficult for the police have informers who will immediately alert them if such a transaction should happen.Most criminals that i know of will do all antisocial stuff but they usually stop and will not cross the line when it comes bombs,guns and terrorism.For that line is crossed only by terrorists and naxalites whose aim is to hurt our country."

Rahul agarwal was very worried " sir,you are scaring me with all these info which i only get to see in hollywood films.What does it mean sir ?"

Rudran looked at him worriedly " it means that i have to think on a higher and broader scale and angle about this kidnapping.For if these guys have gotten their hands on high end explosives and guns then they must surely have connections to some terrorist group and if my fears are correct then this whole kidnapping is just the tip of a bigger iceberg.This kidnapping like many other case could be a means to generate funds for terrorist activities.Most civilians are not aware that nearly the majority of the kidnapping cases are nor reported to the police and some come to light only when the deal goes bad and the kidnapped are usually killed.But we will come to that later and importantly i will pursue that after the children have been rescued."

Rudran used the google earth software and spent a few minutes surveying the aerial view of the area.He memorised all the streets and important landmarks and went back to the gps locator and saw it was beeping about ten kms away from the meeting point.Using the gps tracker os kush's wrist watch he realised that the kidnappers were looping around in circles and taking different turns to avoid raising suspicion about their two vehicles.But the gps kept moving only on the main roads and did not enter small lanes and rudran knew that they were keeping their exit options open in case they needed to make a quick getaway.


Kandaswamy and rahul agarwal both sat quietly and stared at rudran as his brain raced making calculations on the outcome of his encounter with the kidnappers.Rudran's only worry was about the children and he did not want them to be caught in the crossfire.He knew he had to have a backup plan and decided to make the call.


Both the older men watched as rudran got up and tapped the touchscreen on his mobile and walked towards the window " good evening sir.this is rudran."

Those were the only words that the cool night breeze brought to their ears and they understood that rudran was talking to someone higher up in the chain of command.They saw rudran hurriedly tap into his phone and then he whispered numbers and they heard the words degrees north and south and were puzzled and curious at the technical jargon that the man was using.

Rudran " i am on a timer sir.Thank you sir.I will call you after it is done sir.Good night sir."

Rudran came back and sat down before them and they looked at him with curiosity and anxiety in their faces.

He looked at them " well,that should level the playing field a bit and so now we will be able to act with out too much of a disadvantage on our side."

Kandaswamy mudaliyar " mr.rudran, this kidnapping,you,your technical expertise is all beyond our areas of expertise.So please be patient with us and kindly tell us what you are going to do."

Icarus' father Daedalus, a very talented and remarkable Athenian craftsman, built the Labyrinth for King Minos of Crete near his palace at Knossos to imprison the Minotaur, a half-man, half-bull monster born of his wife and the Cretan bull. Minos imprisoned Daedalus himself in the labyrinth because he gave Minos's daughter, Ariadne, a clew (or ball of string) in order to help Theseus, the enemy of Minos, to survive the Labyrinth and defeat the Minotaur.

Daedalus fashioned two pairs of wings out of wax and feathers for himself and his son. Daedalus tried his wings first, but before trying to escape the island, he warned his son not to fly too close to the sun, nor too close to the sea, but to follow his path of flight. Overcome by the giddiness that flying lent him, Icarus soared into the sky, but in the process he came too close to the sun, which due to the heat melted the wax. Icarus kept flapping his wings but soon realized that he had no feathers left and that he was only flapping his bare arms, and so Icarus fell into the sea in the area which today bears his name, the Icarian Sea near Icaria, an island southwest of Samos.

The field of flight and aviation technology has come a long,long way from 1910,since the aviation history of the city of chennai began, when a city-based Corsican hotelier Giacomo D'Angelis built an aircraft and tested it. Inspired by Louis Blriot, a Frenchman who was the first to fly across the English Channel in July 1909, D'Angelis collaborated with Simpson's, a leading coach-builder in the city, to build a biplane.The biplane was built entirely from D'Angelis's own designs, fitted with a small horse-power engine. Samuel John Green, a motor engineer at Simpson's, helped with the manufacture and assembly of the biplane.On 10 March 1910, D'Angelis tested the aircraft in the suburb of Pallavaram, making it the first flight ever in Asia.While demonstrating it to the public during the ticketed show, he even took a person from the crowd on the aircraft as his passenger.Immediately, he also arranged a public viewing at the Island Grounds, charging entrance fees for the demonstration.


Buried deep inside the Tambaram air force station is a set of five huge hangars and it is guarded by alert and vigilant special operation soldiers.In the second hangar,some of the most brilliant minds in the world are always hard at work and for them the outside world whether day or night does not matter and they pay no heed to it.

These brilliant minds have been welcomed with open arms when outside in the civilian world they were shown the exit doors just because they were born in the forward class.So young minds with IQ's to rival and match that of Einstien were left to wander like ships without anchors and soon those brilliant vessels swam and made it to the shores across the atlantic and into the country called united states where they went to work in the premier institutions such as NASA,MICROSOFT,APPLE and even the CIA,NSA.

Funny and tragic isn't it that the brilliant young minds that score 99 or 100 out of 100 are shown the gates when young minds that are dumb and dumber and those that score 35 out of 100 are given seats in medical colleges and engineering colleges based on their backward and shedule caste quotas.

Oh the folly of it all.Imagine you going into surgery in a government hospital and the doctor who is going to cut into you has become one just because he belongs to backward and most backward class.Now think again and tell me who is backward,the nation and its laws or those brilliant young minds that go abroad for work and for recognition.

But quietly and secretly the army,navy and air force has been bringing into their folds brilliant young minds who more than money just want to work,do research and just want to take the nation into the next level of technological advancements.

Squardon leader Pramod Iyer wrote down the number and placed the phone back into its plastic cradle. He whistled to Akhil and waved his hand towards the store room and twirled it in circles.

The green colored jeep quietly left the air force base and taking a u-turn near Trident hotel sped up on the airport road and then turned right and climbed the tirusulam mountain .

Pramod quickly got down and going to the rear of the vehicle lifted the 15 kg trunk with ease.Akhil opened a lap top and activated the software and at the same time checked the encryption and security codes on his network connection.He gave a thumbs up signal to pramod who gently lifted his black 10 kg pet out of its cage.It stood about 3ft tall and on three legs.It had five arms and pramod took out the control console and pressed the start button.The five arms spun noiselessly and gently lifted of into the air and hovered five feet above the ground.

Akhil and pramod went through all the detail with great attention that came easily and naturally to them by character and by training.

Pramod slowly increased the rotor speed and the helicam went higher and higher and was soon about 100 feet in the air.

Pramod whispered " radar check,camera check,infra red check,radio com check."

Akhil said " all ok.go."

Pramod knew he had a ten minute gap before the next civilian flight landed at the domestic and international airports and gave speed and wings to his pet who he had named ICARUS.

Icarus sped sideways at about 60 kms sped and covered the ground between the hill and to the specified location and reaching the point,hovered quietly on its high end lithium batteries.

Pramod switched on the infra red cameras and zoomed in on a one km radius around the location and told akhil to make the call.

Rudran answered his mobile and took down the IP address and logged in with the user id and password that the man on the line gave him.

Rudran's laptop's screen immediately filled itself with visions of ICARUS and his eagle eyes scanned the entire picture.

He spoke to the man on the phone " two on the north side,one behind a large dump and two more in the small clump of trees on the south.Sir,please hold for we are seeing activity in the location.Okay sir,two large vehicles have entered the premises and i count five bodies in the first vehicle and two in the rear vehicle and two smaller shapes lying in the back seat.Are you seeing what i am seeing ? "


Rudran " yes.thank you gentlemen.Much appreciated."

Akhil twirled the joy stick and a minute later ICARUS flew back and was soon safely in its box.

Pramod and akhil quietly drove back to the air force base and after reporting to their chief went back to work.


Rudran stood up armed with all the information he would need and his brain had already sketched a plan on how to deal with the kidnappers.

He effortlessly carried the two 50 kg bags full of money and placed them in his car and then looked at kandaswamy mudaliyar and rahul agarwal " well,i will see you soon."

Both the older men stood watching as Rudran sped away in his car towards the location and the time was 10.00 p.m
