After his first television stint as a judge in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa - Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, music composer Ismail Durbar has now composed music for Sunjoy Waddhwa's Paraya Dhan on Star One. Apparently he has charged a bomb for his compositions. Says Sunjoy, "Ismail has a rustic element to him and the serial revolves on a similar note. He can experiment with Indian classical instruments, which is Ismail's forte. We have definitely paid Ismail a lot, in spite of it being a television show, but then he deserves it."
Durbar says, "Television is equally important to me as my film music. I loved the concept of this serial and decided to give it a try. I am sure the audience will like the music." Durbar adds, "I scored music for television before I signed on Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. However, the serial couldn't go on air for some unknown reason. I am happy to make my foray into television with Paraya Dhan after so many years."
