@ Sonp: As for recognizing each other at award shows n stuff.. I guess its more of a personal prerogative. For me, as long as professionally the work gets done, that's all that matters in the end. As a viewer, I look at the finished product for entertainment purposes. I dont believe in further deciphering how the actors/actresses behave in their personal lives as I believe they are entitled to associate themselves with whoever and whatever they desire just as every one of us have their own favorites n and special shows to root for. But that's just me.. I know a lot many people go overboard with their obsession with celebrities but we forget that they are just as human as you and me..Hence, just let them be and analyze and criticize their work only.. As long as one can respect each other's privacy and rights, we won't have to encounter any negativitiy around us ever.. 😉
@ Butteroo: Hiya sweetumzzz 🤗Thanxxx a bunch dammit.. I just thought this topic was rather interesting to participate in.. Hence, chipped in few thoughts 😳.. U're right about the girl playing the lead role. She is not a trained actor but I think she's improving tremendously with each episode.. Her simplicity wins me over. Karan's doing a great job @ playing the character of Robbie and well.. Jatin Shah... *sighs* Ronak's Jatin Shah first character that I am interacting with as I didnt see him as "Adi" in KGGK. But I must say that like u, he has won me over like nething.. Such a gentleman.. He's truly a gem 😳😳
@ Queenie Di: *waves* hey dii 😛 ~ U're right about the time slot factor. For instance, I saw KAA slip down the TRP ladder once the time slot got changed from prime time to 8 PM. So that's a huge factor in determining the TRPs. But like u said, the storyline is another factor. TRPs are determined by several factors altogether. And what captivates a viewer to sit and watch the show besides her/his favorite actors/actresses is the storyline. When there is something to look forward to, u just cant help but make time for it to watch.
The shows may have similarities but they are executed differently in many aspects as well. For me, Roopa Ganguly, is simply outstanding and brilliant at what she does. Whenever she's on screen, I feel my expressions getting changed along with hers.. She cries, I cry.. She smiles, I smile.. What a brilliant casting idea it was to take her as a middle class woman who is torn in between the dignity of her family as their daughter in law and her desire to see her daughter's happiness above everything as a mother.. *sighs* I am getting a bit carried away here but at the end of the day, its "pasan apni apni and khayal apna apna" 😉
@ Yeah: Ditto.. I would never deny the fact that KYPH was a show of its own kind.. But I didnt connect with it and that's just my humble opinion...😳 As for Kasturi, I hope it continues to do well and doesn't get ruined over time.
Like somebody else stated before, if we are stating that Kasturi is similar to KYPH, then it also has elements of KTH in it... But bottom line is that while these shows may show conformity in some areas, they are still different in many aspects..
"If we conform, we become lost in the crowd. If we are individual, we are lonely and isolated. Which is right? Is it always a tight-rope walk between the two?" - The million dollar question to answer 😉
Cheers, Sana~
