PART 2

KARTHIK-RAJI'S FIRST MEETING:

AT CHENNAI CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION:

It was a bright Sunday morning. Chennai central railway station is as usual busy with trains and people.
Around 7 a.m. a Bajaj Pulsar comes and stops at the entrance. Karthik dressed in blue jeans and Black t shirt gets down from the bike while Vishnu who was riding says..."dei... machaan... porumayaa daa... innum time irukku..."
Karthik smiles and says"nee bike park pannittu vaa... naa adhukulla chart parthittu irukken..."
Vishnu nods his head and drives away.
Karthik comes to the Reservation Chart box and searches.
In the meantime, Vishnu parks his bike, takes a platform ticket and comes there.
Vishnu: ennadaa? ennaachu?
Karthik: coach no. D3... aanaa...
Vishnu: enna aanaa?
Karthik: window seat illai...
Vishnu: dei... last minute la book pannittu ... seat kidaichadhe periya vishayam... idhula window seat kekkudhaa? vaa daa...
Karthik: mmm... adhuvum correct thaan...
Both of them enter into the station look out for the train on the display board...

The display board in RED gave information as:

Train no. Train Name PF no. Dep time
12639 BRINDHAVAN EXPRESS 03 07:50

Both of them reach Platform no 3 and coach no. D3.
Karthik verifies the chart pasted and cofirms his seat no. gets into the coach, puts his bag on the luggage rack , gets down and again sees the chart. Vishnu seated on a bench on the platform is annoyed why is he looking at the chart so many times...
Finally Karthik comes and sits beside Vishnu on the bench.

Vishnu: machaaan... enna karumatha daa antha chart la appadi parthutte irukke?
Karthik gives a serious look at him.
Vishnu: moraikkaadhe... enna vishayam nu sollu...
Karthik: enna sollanum?
Vishnu: dei... oru rendu naal chennai le irundhu veliye ponaaalum avvalo feel kuduppe...ippo muzhusaa moonu maasam pore... en kitta pesaama chart ah ye parthuttu irukke?
Karthik: illa daa... window seat kidaikkaliyaa...
Vishnu: idhellaam ou matter ah?
Karthik: solradhai muzhusaa keludaa...
Vishnu: sari sollu
Karthik: enakku middle seat kidaichirukku daa... sari... window seat ah yaarukku allot panni irukku nnu paarthaa... oru ponnu daa...
Vishnu: irukkattum daa... adhukku yen nee antha chart ah appadi parthe?
Karthik: illa... antha ponnu peru Rajathi nnu irundhadhu daa...
Vishnu: adhukku enna?
Karthik: illa... adhu general ah chella peraa illa irukkum... chart le podaranga nnaa... intha kaalathula ippadi oru official name aa nnu parthen...
Vishnu: oru velai graamathu ponno ennavo..
Karthik: irukkalaam...
Vishnu: dei... ille nnaa intha maathiri chart le ellaam ezhuthi ottuvaanga nnu perai maathi solli irukkalaam illaiyaa?
Karthik: arivu kozhundhu daa nee...
Vishnu: en daa?
Karthik: T.C vanthu kettaa ID proof kaattanum...
Vishnu: aamaa... illa...
Karthik: mmm...

Vishnu gets a call and he answers. finishing the call he turns towards Karthik and says... "machaan... amma phone pannaanga daa... naan sonnen illa function irukku nnu... ellaam wait pannittu irukkaanga daa.. naan kilambaren...Bangalore reach aanadhum call pannu..."
Karthik: sari daa... nee kilambu...
Both of them hug each other and vishnu leaves.

Karthik again sits on the bench and keeps looking at the window wondering who the girl would be not knowing that she is going to change his life forever.

Five minutes later Raji comes there with her father and gets into the train and sits in the window seat.
Karthik is very impressed seeing her. He thought that She looked so pretty in black jeans and sku blue kurtha...
But the next second he remembered her name and thought" what kind of a name was that?"
Raji's father stood on the platform beside the window and even after trying hard he could not get a glimpse of her. so, he gets up and gets into the train and watches her talk to her dad from a distance.

Raji and her father's convo went like this...

Appa: Rajathi... yaaraavadhu sappida edhuvum kuduthaa vaangaadhe...
Raji: paa... naan onnum chinna paappaa illa...
Appa: mukkiyamaa chocolate kuduthaa...
Raji: en kittaye niraiya irukku...
Appa: irundhaalum appa un nalladhukku thaan solren..
Raji: ponga paa...
Appa: sari naan chithappa vukku call panni sollidaren...
Raji: en paa... naane poyiduven... enakku vazhi theriyum paa...
Appa: illa daa ... innaikku Sunday illa... adhanaale chithappaa free thaan... avan thaan nethu night phone panni sonnan... Rajathi ya train yethittu enakku call pannunga... Bangalore station ku naan car eduthittu varen... avalai naane veettukkku koottittu poren nu sonnaan...
Raji: sari unga ishtam...

Train blows siren and starts slowly...
Raji keeps waving at her father looking at him through the window.
Karthik keeps smiling looking at her.
Raji takes a Diary Milk chocolate and a Puzzle book from her hand bag, and starts reading the book eating chocolate simultaneously...

Karthik comes near her and says..."EXCUSE ME..."
Raji lifts her head and sees him smiling and says ..."YES????"
karthik: Can I sit here? (he points the seat next to her)
Raji: why are you asking me? I'm sitting in the seat I've reserved and I've no idea who reserved this ...
Karthik: I've reserved it and actually I want to know whether it is OK with you if I sit here?
Raji feels a little annoyed. she looks at him seriously and..
Raji: what will you do if I say that it would be uncomfortable for me?
Karthik: (says seriously) I will come standing...
Looking at his facial expressions and hearing his answer Raji bursts out to laugh and she continues to giggle for a few more minutes...he keeps staring at her and then she controls herself and says...
Raji: you can sit and I've no problem...
Karthik: thank you...
he sits beside her.

She continues with her chocolate and puzzle book...
Five minutes later...
Karthik: Excuse Me...
Raji turns towards him, looks seriously and...
Raji: shall I come standing if you are feeling uncomfortable??
Now Karthik bursts into laughter...
for a second she gets carried away... but immediately she scolds herself "Rajathi... theriyaadhavanga kitta enna sirippu vendi irukku... ozhungaa book ah padi..."

She again starts reading her book and doesn't turn towards him...
Karthik puts his earphones and starts listening to his favourite songs but keeps watching her every now and then...

Both of them don't know that this journey was the beginning of their BEAUTIFUL LOVE LIFE...
And many more journeys would follow...

Not knowing what kind of Turning it makes in peoples lives BRINDHAVAN EXPRESS is running fast towards its destination.

Loved the update. Raji's dad advise 😆.. Karthik feeling for window seat was cute.. Sweety update is short next update konjam long'ah please 😉...

i read this story... to be frank with you, i did not like the tragedy of karthik's life at young age itself in this love story. My feeling is always that lovers should unite and live for longer period.

Oh wow Sweety nice part, Raji's intro and Karthik wanting a window seat lol, I can totally picture Vishnu saying his parts also.

PART 3

IN THE TRAIN...

The Ticket Collector comes and asks for tickets.

Karthik shows his e-ticket print out and the T.C asks for ID proof.

He gets up, takes out his wallet, pulls his Driving License and shows him.

The TC examines the DL, signs on the ticket and gives back to him.

the TC says next...

Raji gives him her e-ticket copy and ID proof with it.

Karthik looks at her ID and thinks "PAN CARD aah?"

The TC checks her ticket and ID and gives them back to her. He moves on.

Karthik sits back and thinks ..."19 years kellaam PAN CARD aah? oru velai romba periya business family aah irukkumo? aanaa avanga appaa vai partha appadi theriyaliye... antha maathiri aalunga ellaam AC coach thaane prefer pannuvaanga... second sitting la vara chance eh illa..."

Then he wonders on himself..."dei... ennadaa idhu... edhukku ippo antha ponnai pathi thevai illaadha research... avala paaru unnai sattai kooda pannalai... nee ennadaa nnaa over aah feel pannittu irukke..."

He smiles and puts his earphones back and enjoys his favourite music.

Half an hour later, vendors start coming...one by one.. Tea, Coffee, Cool drinks, Biscuits, Chocolates, Snacks, Breakfast, water bottles etc.

Karthik feels hungry and thinks whether to have breakfast or just skip it and have a coffee...

Next second something flashes and turns towards her. Before he could ask anything, Raji who was reading till then, closes the book, opens her hand bag, takes a box out, opens it and starts eating with a spoon and her mobile rings...

Karthik also buys breakfast and starts eating.

Raji answers her call... it's her amma...

Raji: maa... eppadi maa ? naan saappida aarambicha udane ungalukku mookkula verthududhu??... mmm...upmaa vaa... Ok... paravaa illai... nallaa irukku nnu solla mudiyalai ye... yenaaa???? neenga chakkaraiye podalaiye... ethanai thadavai sonnen... neenga box kaile kudukkumbodhu kooda kettene... chakkarai potteengalaa nnu... kotti irukken nnu sonneenga? sari pogattum... vidunga... appa veettukku vandachaa? ippo thaan Arakkonam thaandi irukku... Katpadi vara innum one hour aagum... sari... OK... illai... edhuvum vaangalai... irukku maa... diary milk irukku ... appa vera station vandhappuram 5 star, kit kat laam vaangi kuduthaanga... mmm... Frooti kooda irukku...OK...bye... love you maa..."

Raji ends the call and goes to her book once again...

Karthik who had been listening her phone convo thinks ... "romba closely knit family pola."

He continues with his music and observes her in between...

Raji is completely lost in her book and keeps eating chocolates every half an hour.

After sometime her mobile rings again...

Raji: hai... darling... sollu... enakku theriyum... aanaalum neeye solluve nnu waiting...

Karthik gets a little tensed hearing this. Raji continues...

Raji: nee Sunday call panni next Sunday free yaa nnu ketkum bodhe en mandaikkullaa ... Rani oda adutha Demo Project appadinnu Flash aagidum... mmm... aamaa next saturday ... Brindhavan dhaan ... night kulla veettukku vandhiduven... nee eppavum pola Sunday kaalaileye vandhidu... innoru vishayam... Thevai aanadhellaam neeye vaangidu... appuram Sunday adhu illai... idhu illai... shopping polaam nu sonnaa naan varamaatten...OK... done... bye..."

Raji cuts the call and dials her amma...

Raji: hellooo... appaa... vandaachaa? mmm... saapten... ammma kitta kudunga... amma... Rani call pannaalaa? naan oorukku poyirukken nu sollittu vittuttu irukkalaam illaiyaa... ennaachaa? oorula ulagathula pathu padhinanju friends vachirukkavanga ellaam santhoshamaa irukkaanga... iva oruthiya mattum friend aah vachikittu naan padara avasthaiyai kekka yaarume illa... neenga vera... Demo Project aam... mmm... idhukku pesaama naane engineering padichittu irukkalaam... nalla velai... iva MBBS serndhirundhaa naan sethiruppen... ponga maa... mmm... next Sunday... kaalaileye varen nnu solli irukkaa...mmm... sari... kova padalai maa... aadhanga padaren... sari... bye..."

Raji cuts the call... takes a deep Sigh... and eats two chocolates continuously...

Her mobile rings again...

Raji: hai... Krish... eppadi irukke? dei... naan innum Bangalore ku varave illa daa... I'm on the way... movie aah? naan varalai... nee poyittu vaa... chithappa othukka maattaangalaa... appo neeyum pogaadhe... dei... kanna please... vandha annaikke ennai chithi kitta maatti vidaadha daa... mmm... done...bye... Station variyaa? sari vaa..."

Raji ends the call and empties a Frooti bottle.

Karthik had no other option but hearing all her phone convos...

He thinks..."so... cute... yaar kittayum direct aah NO solla mudiyaadhu pola Madam naala"

He thought of talking to her but she never turned towards him...Time flews by, and Brindhavan Express reaches Bangalore City Railway Station...

Raji takes her bag and gets down . Karthik sits in the window seat and keeps looking at her.

A 40 year old man accompanied with a 12 year old boy come to receive her. He must be her Chithappa Karthik thought...

Raji's Chithappa takes bag from her and Krish comes and hugs her saying "akkaa..."

Raji smiles and leaves with them.

Karthik gets up then, takes his bag and gets out of the train...

He calls Vishnu...

Karthik: machaan... Bangalore reach aayitten daa... mmm ... ippo sollu eppadi poganum nu... Ok... fine... sari daa... naan parthukkaren... OK daa... in case eduvum doubt vandha thirumbavum call panren...

Karthik comes out of the Railway Station, hires a cab and reaches the address given by Vishnu. It's a huge apartment Complex and the Security stop the cab. Karthik gets out of the cab and fills a register given by him and informs him that he is going to stay there for the next six months...

The security shows him the way to the Flat Karthik mentioned and gives his number to contact whenever he needs.Karthik shakes his hand with him and gets into the cab. he tells the driver the way in and reaches his block. He gets out of the cab, pays him and goes into the elevator. He reaches 14th floor and opens the flat with the keys given by Vishnu. He drops his bag on the couch in the living room and takes a look around. It was a well furnished double bedroom flat.

He calls Vishnu...

Karthik: machaan chance eh illa ... romba nallaa irukku daa... mmm... veedu kudumbam nadatha ready aah irukku... ponnum, maappillaiyum thaan missing... yaara? neeyum, Lakshmiyum thaan... eppadaa decide panna poreenga? sari un ishtam... bye...

Karthik takes his bag and goes into one of the bedrooms., unpacks his things, takes a shower , finishes the lunch that he packed on the way, opens his laptop and gets busy.

He keeps working, studying, making important notes etc... till night and fells asleep as he was damn tired.

Here, Raji reaches her chithappa's home accompanied with Krish...

Her Chithi seems unpleasant on her arrival, as she doesn't answer when Raji asked "eppadi irukkeenga chithi?"

Raji feels a little hurt but covers that with her usual smile and goes into the guest room. her chithappa brings her bag and places in the cupboard there.

After lunch, Raji gets busy with Krish helping him to do his homework. Then she helps her chithi in preparing the dinner.

While having dinner, her uncle says...

Chithappa: Rajathi... kaalaile 7.30 kellaam kilambinaa dhaan nee office ku nerathoda poga mudiyum.

Her chithi interrupts...

Chithi: ennaala avvalo kaalaile ezhundhu breakfast, lunch ellaam seyya mudiyaadhu...

Chithappa: unnai yaarum seiyya sollalai... Rajathi ... unakku enna venumo adhai

samaichuko... eppadiyum seyyarome appadinnu ellaarukkum seyyaadhe... unakku thevai aanadhu mattum seidhuko... lunch eduthuttu po... velile saappidaadhe...

Rahi: saringa ... chithappaa...

She finishes off her dinner and sleeps off.

NEXT DAY:

Raji wakes up early in the morning, gets ready, cooks , has breakfast, packs her lunch and is ready to leave. Her Chithappa comes from his morning jog...

Chithappa: Rajathi... ready yaa maa?

Raji: ready chithappaa...

He once again explains her the route, the bus no. she has to board etc etc...

Raji: naan parthukkaren chithappaa... neenga relaxed aah irunga.

chithappa: sari daa... bhadramaa poyittu vaa... enna doubt aah irundhaalum call pannu...

Raji bends and touches his feet.

Chithappa: All the Best Rajathi... God bless you with all the Success...

Raji: Thank you... chithappaa...

Raji comes out of the house, walks for about 10 mins and reaches the bus stop. few minutes later, she boards a bus, gets down after a few stops, takes another bus and reaches her destination.

It was the prestigious BIG FOUR Audit firm's branch in India. Raji gets a little nervous looking at the infrastructure of the huge building that stood like a Giant in front of her. She reaches the security cabin and shows her appointment letter. the security gives her a temporary card and explains how she should use it to enter and exit out of the glass doors.

Raji takes the card from him, swipes at the main entrance and reaches the reception.

The receptionist welcomes her with a smile and Raji shows her appointment letter. The receptionist aks her to switch off her mobile , gives a key and says..."ma'am... this is the way to locker room, your locker no. is 492.. keep ur stuff there ... since its your first day u can carry your profile with you... from tomorrow even that's not allowed and kindly remove your jerkin too..."

Raji smiles and says "OK..."

Raji goes to the locker room, opens the one allotted to her, removes her jerkin, puts all her things inside, locks back and comes to the reception. The receptionist gives her a letter and "ma'am you are placed with Mr.HarshaVardhan...Go straight and the Third Cabin on the left.."

Raji says "thank you.." and leaves.

Raji reaches the cabin and looks through the Glass door... A 45 year old man wearing a blazer was talking to someone seated in front of him.

Raji thinks that he should be Mr.HarshaVardhan...She tries to open the door but couldn't ...

She knocks the door and looks through it.. the person sitting in front of the auditor stands up as the auditor signs to open the door, Raji steps back and stands straight.

CLING... the door opens and Raji is Surprised to see the person who opened the door.

it was the same person who sat beside her in the train...

Karthik never expected Raji there and he was equally shocked and surprised..

Both of them exchange a warm smile...

Nice update Sweety. Raji'ku sweet romba pudikumo irundhalum ivlo chocolates saapta sugar vandhudadhu 😉. Raji chitti'ku enna kovam?? Story is interesting. Waiting for the next update.
