CHAPTER THIRTY ONE
Friday @ office :
Raji meets HR and he talks about her suicide and advices her. He also informs that she has to go and meet the counseling team at their office.
He also tell her that he came to know that she is not interested in the marriage and that's the reason for her suicide attempt. He says to her that he is like his brother and talk openly.
Raji assures that she would not take such decision thereafter.
Raji comes to her seat. Karthik seems to work seriously and not in a mood to talk to anyone. Vishnu tries to crack some joke. He did not bother about it.
He is upset and thinking of Jaya. But he did not show that to Raji. He pretends to be normal. Karthi just gives one word answer for whatever she asks.
Karthi : Vishnu..
Vish : enna machaan..?
Karthi : adhu vandhu...
Vish : enkitta ennadaa thayakkam ? solludaa..
Karthi : Jaya endha oorukku ponaa nu sonnaalaa ?
Vish : illadaa.. oorla edho oru kovil nu dhaan sonnaa.. ooru peru ennanu theriyala daa.
Karthi : oh..
Vish : ennadaa..therinjikittu anga poga pora.. adhaane ?
Karthi : adhu vandhu..
Vish : enakku theriyum daa.. unna pathi.. innum 2 naala vandhuraporaa.. adhuvaraikkum unnaala wait panna mudiyaadhaa..
Karthik keep trying her number but gets 'Not Reachable' response.
Next week : Monday
Karthik keep on looking the entrance whenever someone opens the door. Raji looks at him and sees how he is disappointed each time when it is not Jaya.
Vishnu comes from Lakshmi's place.
Karthi : ivlo neram place la illaama engadaa pona ?
Vish : Lakshmi kitta dhaan pesittu irundhen..
Karthi : Jaya vandhuttaalaa daa ?
Vish : machaan.. naan note pannalaye..
Karthi : sari... poi lakshmi kitta kettuttu vaa.
Vish : podaa.. ivlo neram anga dhaan irundhen... thirumba ponaa.. Lakshmi kaduppaayiduvaa.. unakku venaa neeye poi kettukka..
Karthik goes to Lakshmi place and ask her. He then comes back to his seat.
Vish : enna daa ?
Karthi : innum return aagalayaam.. leave ah 1 day extend pannirukkaalaam..
Vish : ohoo..
Karthi : (mind voice) iva yen ippadi panraa ? inga avanavan kaathuttu irukkaan.. cha..
He seems restless and tries to work. But he could not concentrate, so he leaves on permission.
Raji : Vishnu.. Karthik ku ennaachu ? yen ippadi irukkaan ?
Vish : theriyala Raji..
Next Day : Tuesday
Jaya comes to office by 10 o clock. Karthi waits that she herself will come and talk to him..
Jaya is busy working.. finishing her pending works. 2 days pass by and Karthik did not disturb her.
Thursday Night :
Karthi dials Jaya's number. She picks it up after long time.
Jaya : hello..
Karthi : (silent)
Jaya : Karthik...
Karthi : hmmm..
Jaya : ennadaa.. phone pannittu pesamaattura.. ?
Karthi : neeppaattukku Monday ku apparam pesalaam nu sollittu poitta... innaikku vyazhakkelamai..
Jaya : oh.. adhuvaa ? naalaikku paakkalaam Karthik..
Karthi : paakkalaamaa ? appadinaa ?
Jaya : sari.. naalaikku.. mudivu pannalaam..
Karthi : kandippaa ?
Jaya : en mela nambikka illai ?
Karthi : appadi illa..
Jaya : sari.. OK.. bye.
Karthi : Jaya... Jaya... (but she cut the line)
Friday @ office :
Jaya comes to Karthik's place and gives something wrapped up.
Jaya : idha pirichu paaru Karthi.. (and leaves)
Karthik opens it and finds the same frame which he gave her.. with few corrections..
The place where the date has been left blank for 'RE-UNITE' has been strike and written as 'BREAK UP'
And the other 2 entries Engagement and Marriage also been strike off.
On seeing this, Karthi gets much angry and throws it on his table and leaves.
Vish : machaan..ennadaa ?
Karthi : (morachifies)
Vishnu shuts his mouth.
Raji : enna Vishnu ? yen ippadi kovappaduraan ?
Vish : theriyalainga.. naanum ungala maadhiri dhaan.. irunga enna nu paakkuren..
He takes that frame and sees what it is. He keeps his hand on head and he is also upset.
Raji : ennaachu Vishnu ?
Vish : neengale paarunga Raji.. (he shows it to her)
Raji : (thinks after seeing the dates) avlo naal LOVE pannirukkaanaa ? romba deep ah irukkumo ? adhaan romba hurt aaguraan pola..
Vish : enna Raji yosikkureenga..
Raji : hmmm.. onnum illa.(she keeps it back on Karthi's table)
Karthik who went angrily.. roams near the reception area and tries calling Jaya's mobile.
Then he goes straight to her place and she is not at her seat.
He checks with lakshmi. She did not bother to answer him as she is also angry with him as he has changed his mind to be with Jaya.
At the cubicle :
Raji : Vishnu..
Vish : sollunga Raji..
Raji : naan innaikku oorukku poren..
Karthi : (turns)
Raji : Vishnu.. unga kitta dhaan solren.. appaava paathu romba naalaachu..
Vish : saringa.. kovilpatti ku dhaane poreenga..adha yen announce panreenga.. (he then understands its for Karthik and keeps silent)
Karthik did not react for it.
Raji leaves early as she is leaving to her town. Lakshmi says she needs to complete a task which is very urgent and doesn't know how long will it take.
Vishnu as usual plays his 6 o'clock dialogue and starts.
Karthik is seated alone in the place, very upset seeing that present he gave her.
By 7 o'clock, thinking that everyone would have left, Jaya comes in. She has to cross through Karthi's place to go to her place. Karthik notices her.
Jaya sits and continue her work. Lakshmi sees her but did not talk.
It is getting late. Jaya peeps and check if Karthik is still there. She confirms that he is not there, she starts for the day.
But he catches her on the pathway and demands that he needs to talk with her now itself. She agrees.
Jaya : sari.. Karthik... ingaye pesalaam..
Karthi : ingaye vaa ?
[COLOR=MAGENTA]Jaya : hmm.. romba late aayiduchu...almost ellarum kelambiruppaanga.. edho onnu rendu peru mattum dhaan iruppaanga..
Karthi : sari OK.. nee pesa othukittadhe sandhosham.adhu podhum...
