CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

Raji is still in canteen sitting alone thinking about Karthi. She takes the pills from her bag she bought to send for her mother.

Karthi and Jaya in bike.

Karthi : enga polaam nu sollu ?

Jaya : un ishtam daa..

Karthi chooses to go to beach and they both goes near the shore. They just sit and watch the waves for sometime.

Raji holds the tablets in hands. She comes to a conclusion that there is no chance of Karthik coming back to her as he has decided. She cannot think of marrying someone else. Then think about her father and his health. All thoughts comes to her mind and she seems more confused.

Jaya : Karthik..

Karthi: Jaya.. iru oru nimisham..

He takes his mobile and switch it off.

Jaya : ennadaa panra ?

Karthi : yaarum call panni disturb panna koodaadhunu off pannitten.. neeyum konjam switch off panriyaa.

She too switch off her mobile.

Jaya : naan yen apparamaa pesi decide pannalaam nu sonnen theriyumaa ?

Karthi : (silent)

Jaya : annaikku nee normal ah illa.. adhanaala nee solradha eppadi eduthukka nu theriyala.. adhuvum dhideernu nadu raathiri la vandhu.. propose pannine..

Karthi : neram, nilamai venaa thappaa irukkalaam.. aanaa naan sonnadhu nijam.. (moves while talking and turns facing other side and continues)

naan unarndhutten Jaya.. nee dhaan en life nu.. naan unna innum love pannittu irukkennu enakku purinjiduchu..

Jaya comes and hugs him from behind and cries...

Jaya : idha solla unakku ivlo naalaa ?

Raji puts the pills in her mouth and drinks lots of water. She then goes to her seat and sits. She seems to be very weak and abnormal.

Karthi : appadi illa.. unkitta kandippa sollanum... aanaa ippa vendaam..

Jaya : sari.. eppa thonudho appa sollu..

Karthi : konja confusion la irundhen. ippa thelivaayitten nee dhaan en life nu..

He wipes her tears.

Karthi : inimel No Cries and No worries..

Jaya : Thanks Karthi... I Love U daa.

Karthi : me too... I Love U Jaya...

Raji : adhellaam onnum illa..

Vish : naan dhaanga unga kitta sorry ketkanum.. indha samayathula.. unga pakkam ennaala irukka mudiyala.. aanaalum neengalum en friend dhaan..

Raji : paravaa illa Vishnu.. neenga enna pannuveenga ?

She feel down while talking and unconscious. Vishnu shouts for lakshmi. She comes and all seems to be worried and no clue as what happened to her.

Karthi and Jaya sitting at the shore holding hands. It becomes dark and they did not realize as how long they have been sitting there.

Karthi : sari.. vaa.. polaam..

Jaya : OK..

He gives his hand for her to get up. They start walking towards the parking area.

Karthi : sari.. naama ippo restaurant poittu dinner saappittittu pogalaam..

Jaya : vendaam karthi.. en friend oruthi innaikku night en kooda stay panna varren nu sonnaa..

Karthi : yen ?

Jaya : idhenna kelvi.. naan thaniyaa night irukka vendaam nu.. kooda vandhu thanguren nu sonnaa.. innum veedu kedakkalala..

Karthi : naan irukkum bodhu.. yen vera yaarayo kooppidura ?

Jaya : paarraa..

Karthi : yen.. naandhaan yerkanave un kooda stay pannirukken la.. college time la unakku fever irundhappo.. unga appa amma oorukku poiyirundhappo.. naandhaane paathukitten..
apparam annaikku kooda naan indha veetula irundhen la..

sari.. yaar andha friend.. enakku theriyaadha friend..

Jaya : en dance troupe la irukkavaaa.. inneram vandhiruppaa.. kandippa samachi vachiruppaa.. naan veetla poye saappittukuren..

Karthi : sari.. appo vera edathukku koottittu poren..

Jaya : adhukku munnaala naan innoru edathukku poganum..

Karthi : enga ?

Jaya : nee vandiya edu.. naan solra edathula stop pannu..

Raji is admitted in hospital.

Laksh : ellaam Karthik naala dhaan..

Vish : avan enna pannaan ?

Laksh : aamaa.. Jaya vum dhaan kaaranam.. sollapona neeyum dhaan..

They start fighting and blames each other. Vishnu tried to call Karthik and found to be switched off.

Later he tries for Jaya's mobile to contact Karthik.. He gets the same response for her number as well.

Jaya asked to stop before a shopping plaza and says that she will go and meet a friend working there and ask him to wait outside and be back soon.

In few minutes, she comes back and take him inside. She gives him a shirt and ask him to go and wear it in the trial room.

Karthi : hey.. enna idhu ?

Jaya : idhu theriyalayaa ? shirt..

Karthi : romba kadikkaadha.. edhukku nu ketten..

Jaya : pottukka dhaan..

Karthi : Jayaaa..

Jaya : (laughs) chumma dhaan daa.. naama marubadiyum serndhadhu ku oru remembrance ah irukkattume..

Karthi : OK.. aanaa naan edhuvum tharalaye.. ? vaa.. unakku edhaavadhu edukkalaam..

Jaya : dei.. idhenna.. present ku present ah.. adhellaam vendaam.. nee modhalla poi.. maathittu vaa..

He changes and comes back and she is happy.

At the hospital. Doctor and Nurses seems busy treating Raji. Lakshmi and Vishnu are tensed waiting outside the room. Vishnu tries calling Karthik mobile again.

Karthi stops in an Ice-Cream parlor.

Karthi : dinner dhaan vendaam nu sollita.. atleast ice-cream aavadhu saappttu polaam..

Waiter serves the ice-creams they have ordered. Karthik in romantic mood tries to feed her a spoon. She feels shy and says it is a public place and tries to avoid it.

Karthik then drops her in the house and says here is my gift for remembrance of this day' and takes her hand and kisses. Jaya blushes.

Karthi : indhaa ennoda gift. (gives a packed gift)

Jaya : hey.. nee yerkanave vaangittiyaa ? appa yenda kadaila scene potta ?

Karthi : (laughs)

Jaya : sari.. ippavaavadhu modhalle kuduthirukkalaam la..

Karthi : appa indha Kiss miss aagirukkum la..

Jaya : eppo daa vaanguna.. ?

Karthi : vaangala... naane ready pannadhu..

Jaya : appadi ennadaa adhu..?

Karthi : ulla poi.. porumaiyaa pirichu paaru..

Jaya : thanks daa Karthi (and Kiss him)

Karthi happily waves her and starts his bike. Jaya calls out Karthik from the doorstep.

Jaya : veedu reach pannavodane.. call illana message pannu..

Karthi : hmmm.. OK..

He remembers that their phones have been switched off. He takes it from his pocket and switch on the mobile.
