CHAPTER 2
..Saawarey..
She stood up at the window, wrapping those creased white sheets around her tired and naked body. She looked out at the morning sky aimlessly. It looked heavily clouded and cool wind swayed around gustily. It would be raining soon. Last night's memories would bring in a cherry hue upon her face. She was complete now, He had completed her. She stretched out her hand from the window to feel the little pellets of rain, as the rainfall had started. A smile crept over her crimson face, as this was one new beginning for them. Their journey together had started. Suddenly, she sneezed due to her sensitivity towards cold weather which eventually disturbed his hard earned sleep. He slowly opened his eyes and his blurred vision fell on the silhouette blocking the light rays coming from the window. He rubbed his eyes as they burned due to last night's exhausting experience. A wayward grin took place across his lips. He blushed. He climbed off the bed wearing his boxers and slowly tiptoed towards her making no noise.
He adored her from a distance. Her messed up hair, those marks on her body, and that pinkness across her face and most importantly that shy smile, made her look imperfectly perfect. She was completely his now. He closed the distance between them as he hugged her from the back. He wrapped his hands around her petite waist and kissed the crook of her neck. His warmth was one ethereal and miraculous feeling for her. An electrifying sensation stirred through her body at his touch. "Good morning baby," He mumbled brushing his lips against her ear. She closed her eyes in anticipation as she felt his lips travel across her neck, over those marks given by him. Her hand travelled across his hair pulling him closer as he soothed the little pain she had, with his feathery kisses. She groaned as his grip around her got tighter almost squeezing her. "Leave me, we had it enough, I am tired now," she said. "Let's freshen up, then!" He exclaimed. "Together? I am not sure about this!" she replied shyly, "Don't be shy, wifey, "he replied as he scooped her up in his arms and walked into their huge washroom.
HE filled the bathtub with warm water. And getting undressed, he took her in and sat with her in his lap. She was not making an eye contact with him. She was extremely shy. She rested her body completely on his and his hands were wrapped around her bare body. Silence was dominant. They sat like that for more than an hour. None of them spoke anything. But, finally, the silence was broken by him. "Nisha, were you serious about what you said the previous night," he asked. She feigned not knowing what he talked about. "Don't act now, speak up, or I have my ways," he said. "I really don't remember anything, Kabir," she whispered, digging her face in his chest as he cleansed her hair. "Okay--, I am talking about you getting pregnant, are you sure about that?" he asked, "I don't want to force anything on you, I am ready for it if you are too," she said. "Shut up, Nisha. You aren't forcing anything on me, even I want our kids, and I am definitely ready, we both are immature but I am sure we can manage this together. We can learn together," he said. She elevated herself a little and kissed his nose.
A mischievous grin appeared on his face and she looked at him curiously trying to figure out what he was up to. She felt him withdraw his hand from her waist. She was still baffled. But before she could conclude anything from his actions, she was pulled into a passionate kiss. The kiss then just got advanced into something else and they made love again. Their exhausted bodies rested against each other lying in the tub filled with the slowly cooling down water.
"I love you," he said as he kissed on the crown of her head. "I love you too," she said and wrapped her hands around his waist. "I am hungry," she said and pouted. "For what?" he asked with an evil smile. "Shut up, Kabir. I am bloody hungry! Don't use your one track mind everywhere," she cried. He laughed at her. "Okay, fine! Let's get out of here first," he said. They got out of the bathtub after a complete two-hour bath. They dressed up and then arranged the room a little which was wholly messed up as if a cyclone had struck here last night. Their clothes were lying over the floor. They were embarrassed at the situation. There was an awkward silence between them as the glimpses of that moment came driving in. "Nisha, let's go out to the cafe, we'll eat something there," he said. She nodded her head and said, "Yeah, cafe would be better! I don't think we would be able to go anywhere else in this rain,"
After clearing all the mess they had created, they called the room service to do the remaining cleaning stuff. They walked out of their room holding hands and went towards the cafe which was not so far from their room. They chose their place and sat there. "What will you have?" he asked, "Anything!" she replied. "Grilled tomato and cheese sandwiches and cappuccino?" He asked with a smile. "Do you still remember that?"She asked, amazed by him. "How can I even forget that, Miss. Butterfingers?" He teased her. "That's when we met for the first time," She said dreamily, "I remember that, Miss. Butterfingers," he replied, "I am not Butterfingers, okay! That cappuccino fell on you by mistake, I wasn't at fault," she said. "Chill, when did I even take your name? I don't repent my favorite shirt getting destroyed by your cappuccino that day! See, what it gave me," he said and took her hand in his. She smiled involuntarily. He saw this smile, and immediately pulled her towards him and kissed her cheek, only to make that smile even wider. "I am glad that it was me who had destroyed that shirt," she whispered. "What if it wasn't you and someone else?" He asked, "First I would have killed that girl and then you," she said quite casually and both of them chuckled. "I will get the breakfast," he said and went towards the counter. As he left, she took his phone which was lying before her just to check the time, and as she switched it on, she was surprised to see that there were twenty-five missed calls from his brother, Viraj.
Why would anyone call so many times in just two days unless it was something important? And why was Kabir ignoring Viraj's calls? She was deep lost in thinking about this when a stranger came and sat before her. The person looked as if he was in a hurry; he was constantly looking here and there. Fear was written over his face. "Excuse me?" she asked the stranger before her. She was curious as she had never seen the person before. "Yeah," He said casually. "Someone's sitting over there, you can take some other place, there's a lot of free space here, yeah?" she replied. "It's just a matter of few minutes, I need to tell you something really important," He said, "Excuse me, can you just leave, my husband would be here any moment and he wouldn't like you here," She said quite rudely. "See Nisha, this is something important you should know, you are in danger, please leave this place as soon as you can," He said with anxiety. He was constantly twitching his fingers which told that he was frightened about something. "How do you know my name?" she screamed out and that's when Kabir came running to her, "What has happened? And who's he? Did he do something?" he asked anxiously and glared at the person before her. "See, I am not here to do anything, I am here to warn you both, just go away from here," said the guy holding his hands up in air. Kabir held his collar and almost a fight had started. "Kabir, please, I am warning you, just listen to me once," he said. Kabir started shouting for the security guard to get him thrown out of the cafe. The security guards came running in and took hold of him.
"Kabir...Nisha...please go away, you aren't safe here, there's something very important I need to tell you, they'll kill you, just listen to me once," he shouted as he was being forcibly taken away from there by the security staff.
This whole thing was a shock to Kabir and Nisha. "Who was he? How did he know our names? And what the hell was he saying?" she cried out, her face was sulking in horror, she was frightened. "Just ignore him. He might be some lunatic, everything is alright, don't worry," he said as he took her in his embrace and stroke his hand against her back trying to calm her. He was anxious. Who was he, actually? "Why shouldn't I worry, Kabir, what if he was really here to warn us? What if all that he said was true?" she blurted out. "Nisha, you just need to calm down, nothing is going to happen, just have your breakfast and we are going back to the room," he said. "Kabirr..." she cried out, "Nisha, don't worry, everything is going to be fine, now come on, eat this," he said as he started feeding her. They had their breakfast in silence as both their minds were occupied by the same incident. They went back to their room after they had their food. He sat on the bed with her in his embrace. "Kabir, when are we going to go back?" she asked him, "why? Already fed up of me?" he asked and chuckled. "No. I am missing my family," she said. "Just a few more days, till everything settles down," he said. "We took a big step, I hope we didn't dig a grave for ourselves," she said. "Why do you talk so much?" he said and she chuckled.
"Kabir, that guy at the cafe..." before she could continue he stopped her and said, "don't start again, Nisha! I don't want to hear a word about that lunatic," he said annoyed by her. "Okay, fine! What do you want to do then sitting here the whole day? I don't think the rain is going to stop anytime soon," she said. "We have a lot of things to do," he said, "Like?" she asked, "Like...doing some romance?" he said and leaned over her but she pushed him back. "Don't you bloody get tired?" she asked irritably. "What have we done tiresome so far?" he said making faces. "Shut up, Kabir! I want to sleep now; I hardly slept for an hour last night," she said and lied down on the bed turning the other side, "who told you to not sleep?" he asked. "Did you even leave me last night? Such a monster you are, do you know that?" she blurted. "So, what? It was you who had made me so desperate," he said and lied down beside her, cuddling her from the back. Suddenly, she remembered something and asked, "Kabir, why are you ignoring Viraj's calls?", but he didn't reply. He had already dozed off. And she too slipped into a deep slumber in some time.
**NEXT EVENING**
"Nisha, why don't understand, I wasn't flirting with her, she just asked for my help and I was helping her!" he said as he followed an infuriated Nisha who just stormed out of the disco bar. He held her hand and pulled her towards him. "Enough of your bloody excuses! You were helping her by dancing with her? By touching her? What kind of a help is that," she shouted. "Nisha, she was drunk, and why would I touch her, you are misunderstanding the whole thing," he cried. She rose up her hand in front of him motioning him to stop. "Enough, Kabir! Just enough! Don't lie; I know what you were doing there. Am I not able to satisfy your f**kin' desires? You should have told me. I know, I can't dance well or at least not like that girl," she said. He has had enough of it, he was angry now. She had abused him a lot today. He held her shoulder squeezing it tightly, hurting her. She was crying due to pain. She tried to protest but he twisted her hand to her back. She was screaming in pain. "Kabir, leave me! You are hurting me, you idiot!" she shouted. "Don't you dare talk about me like that again," he said as he pushed her and she fell on the floor, hurting her back. He marched off from there in anger leaving her to cry there. She was really upset by this and so was he, but he didn't realize what he did in his anger.
She slowly stood up taking the support of the car beside her. She had hurt her back and all that he did had made her unable to stand straight. She was in an immense pain. She stumbled as she walked. She walked towards their room when she felt that she was being followed by someone. She was alone in the whole corridor and the sensation of someone following was maddening her. She wiped her tears and gathered some courage and walked as fast as she could, but was not able to. She had almost reached the room, when she heard someone calling her. The voice was a heavy one. It had some kind of pain filled in. she didn't turn back and instead she kept walking ahead. She felt the person nearing her as the shrieks grew louder and louder. "Nisha... go away... don't be here," the person said this and she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to face the person. She was scared. His clothes were soaked in blood. He had a gun-shot wound, one near his shoulder and the other one on one of his feet. His wound was clearly visible in the dim light spread across the dark corridor.
"Who are you? Stay away! Stay away!" she screamed as she got frightened seeing him. She couldn't recognize him. She walked backwards screaming, shouting, and he walked towards her painfully dragging his wounded leg. Everyone came out of their rooms hearing her screams. "Nisha, run away, he will kill you, he..will..kill..you.." he couldn't continue as he fell on the floor and went unconscious. And that's when the wound on his back came into her notice. She was screaming, shouting and crying due to fear. Kabir came out of the room hearing the screams and found it to be her. He was frightened to see her state. She was sitting in a corner hiding her head between her arms, and somebody was lying before her. People had crowded the place. No one dared to near her. He ran towards her as he saw her.
"Nisha...what has happened? Who is he? Damn! What the hell has happened? Speak up, Nisha! Please, for god's sake, speak up damn it!" he said cupping her face in his hands. She was just crying. He pulled her into his embrace and stroked his hand against her back. "Shhh...Calm down, calm down," he said as he tried to calm her. She was constantly looking at the person lying before her and only his words were roaming in her mind. Soon, a doctor was called by the hotel staff which had also witnessed the scenario, and the person was declared dead. An identity card was found from his wallet. His name was written as Agastya Vashisht, and was a detective. The police was informed about this case and they took the statement of Nisha as she was the one and only witness of the complete scene. She couldn't tell them the whole thing due to fear, but has had as much as she could. It was nearly mid-night till the whole fiasco has come to an end. "He will kill you," still roamed in her mind. Nisha sat on the couch with her legs folded up and her head rested between her arms and folded legs. Nisha didn't let Kabir to touch her for even once. Firstly, she wanted to be alone and second, she was hell angry at him. He sat beside her on the couch. He was really guilty for what he did this evening at the bar. He was feeling bad for her. He could see the red marks on her arms. He massaged his temple with his fingers. He was frustrated. He was unhappy with himself.
"Baby, I am really sorry for what I did," he said. "Please, leave me alone for some time; I don't want you to be here with me, right now! I am not in a mood to talk to you," she said in a deep voice. She was crying. "But just listen to me once," he said. "I don't want to listen anything from you," she said looking at him. Her eyes were red and swollen. "Nisha...I am sorry! I never wanted to do that," he said. "But the difference here is that you did, Kabir," she said. "I am saying sorry for that," he cried. "So you think that saying a sorry can edify everything? That is what you think? Please Kabir, I am in no mood to converse to you, leave me," she said joining her hands together before him. She stood up and started walking towards the bed to sleep. She was in pain, he could see that. She lied down on the bed and covered herself with the comforter. He went and lied down beside her and tried to talk to her but he knew that it was not going to happen anytime soon. He got distracted for a while as he started to think about the detective. Why was he following them? What was he saying? What did he say to Nisha?
Three more weeks had passed. Everything had come to normal now. That incident was no more being talked about. Kabir, however with his determination brought back Nisha from the unwanted memories of that incident. She had forgiven him, not easily though. They were living a romantic and intimate love life. Everything was going perfect from the past few days. There was no such thing as Agastya had said, maybe he lied. But why would a dying man lie? What was the purpose? Whatever it was, it wasn't like it appeared. Though Kabir was able to bring her out of those memories, but she couldn't forget what Agastya had said before he died. They were in danger? From what? If he had come all the way following them to make them aware of this, then who was the person who had sent him? There was probably something which was hidden!
They were cuddled into each other. The blue curtains which swayed with the wind blowing from outside had managed to prevent the morning light from entering into the room and disturbing the sleep of two beautiful souls in deep slumber. The previous day was a tiring one. They had almost covered the whole Manali as their trip was just about to come to a halt. Two more days and they would leave this place. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at the love of his life sleeping in his arms. He placed a slight kiss on her hair and she groaned in her sleep. "Nisha...wake up, we have to go out," he said slowly patting on her back and she cuddled more into him. "I am not feeling well, let me be like this," she said throwing her arm around his body. "What happened? Are you alright?" he asked with concern. "I don't know but I am not feeling well," she said. "You'll be fine. We'll go out in the evening if you are fine then, you should rest now," he said. "But I want to go out with you," she said. "You should rest Nisha, nothing is more important than you," he said. She nodded her head and rested in his arms for a while.
An hour later, "Nisha...I am going to bring the breakfast, do you want anything else," shouted Kabir wearing his shoes as he sat on the bed. "No..." she said anxiously leaning to a wall inside the washroom. Kabir walked out of the room. Sweat was dripping down her face. "Am I really ready for this?" she asked herself. Her expression was something between happiness and fear. "Isn't this so soon?" she said looking at the little monitoring machine in her hand. She was a little curious about her health since two days. She doubted if it was something related to that and hence she had decided to do the test. And yes, her results were positive. She was pregnant. She didn't tell Kabir anything about this. How was he going to react? Would he be happy about it? How will she tell him about this? She walked out of the washroom and sat at a corner of the bed clutching the bed sheet. She didn't expect this so soon. She was in denial that there was a little human within her. She kept her hand on her tummy and caressed it. She was lost in the beautiful feeling it had. She smiled looking at her belly just when the door of the room opened and Kabir walked in with two breakfast boxes in his hand. "Nisha...look, what I got for you, your favorite chocolate," he said and took out a bar of chocolate from his pocket. She looked at him and nodded. He could see that her eyes were not as excited as they used to be. Something else had taken that place in her eyes today. They had a different shine. And a curious smile was spread across her lips.
"You want to tell me something?" he asked. He was curious. He kept the boxes and chocolate on the table and took steps towards her. He was smiling. He walked towards her and knelt down in front of her. He took her hands in his and asked, "May I know the reason behind your pink cheeks," "Kabir...I-I," she fumbled. "Yes, you?" he asked her. She looked up and started looking here and there due to shyness and for an instance her eyes fell on the television which flashed some breaking news. She was shocked. She was at loss of words. She was frightened. "K...Kabir...!" she shouted and asked him to look at the television. He got scared seeing her expressions, and what he saw on the news channel scared him even more.
'Love ignites fire between DJP and CTC, both the parties eliminated out of elections. Jaipur stricken with terror of political riots,'' Announced the news anchor as Kabir raised the volume.
"What the hell is this? Why did this happen? How did this news come out?" cried Nisha.
'Damn! This must be the work of rivals!" said Kabir and sat beside Nisha holding his head between his palms looking down.
Kabir swapped the channel and there was the same thing was being raised in other channels too.
"Ghar se bhaage Nisha Gangwal aur Kabir Singh Rathore, ab kya asar hoga iska DJP aur CTC par? Aakhir kahan chupe hain Nisha aur Kabir?" said the news channel.
" Dekhie, ye hai Nisha Gangwal aur Kabir Singh Rathore, agar aapne kahin inhe dekha hain to apna phone uthaiye aur hume call kijie," announced another channel.
"We are doomed, Kabir, we are doomed!" said Nisha as a lone tear escaped out of her eyes.
"Nothing will happen, Nisha! We'll get out of this, don't worry," said Kabir.
"We can't go back to Jaipur; they'll kill us, where are we going to go?" she said anxiously.
"Don't worry, I got a job. We'll go to US and no one will follow us there," Kabir said cupping her face.
"Kabir, I am pregnant," she said hesitantly. Fear was written over her pale face.
He was dumbstruck at the revelation. He didn't know what to say. He just kept staring at her for a few seconds and suddenly, he just pulled her into his embrace and hugged her tight. Tears escaped his eyes; he knew that they were from happiness. He smiled amidst those tears. He kissed her hair. "Don't worry, we'll get out of this, that's my promise," He said, "I want our baby to be safe, Kabir," she said, "I promise you, we'll leave tomorrow itself," he said and kissed her forehead. She nodded and hugged him tight.
There was a knock at the door which had alarmed them. Nisha looked at Kabir anxiously. He asked her to calm down as she was frightened. He stood up and walked to the door ad opened it and as he opened the door, there stood an anxious Manager before him. The manager was Nisha and Kabir's childhood friend. He hurriedly rushed into the room and Kabir closed the door as he came in.
"Kabir, did you see the news channels? Every news channel is covered with you. Why the hell did you lie to me? You could have told me about this!" Aditya screamed in anxiety.
"We had no other option, Adi." Said Kabir, calming his friend.
"You could have at least told me about this! Do you even know how dangerous it is? You both know what your families are, very well!" said Adi
"You know how much we love each other, Adi! We can't live without each other! We just need to get out of this! I know that our families will understand!" said Kabir.
"They won't, Kabir- they won't! You'll have to leave this place as soon as possible before they get to know about you both being here!" said Adi
"Please help us, we need your help! We are leaving for US tomorrow!" said Kabir.
"I'll book the tickets for you then and I'll tell Ria and Ishfaq about you coming there too, they'll receive you there! And I'll manage these news channels too, I'll disconnect the cable and will make an excuse of the rainy season, I'll do whatever I can to help you," said Aditya.
"Thank you so much Adi, but just don't land yourself in trouble with all this!" said Nisha.
"There's no trouble, I would be glad to help you both! I seriously can't thank you enough for what you did for me and Aashi; it's on me to help you now!'' said Aditya.
"Thank you so much, brother!" said Kabir and hugged Aditya.
"Why don't you enjoy this day, and leave the rest on me, I should be at work now," said Aditya and walked out of the room. Kabir closed the door behind him and walked to Nisha. He smiled cheekily and she smiled back.
"How are you feeling now? Happy?" he asked and knelt down before her resting his head in her lap and wrapped his arms around her waist. She ruffled his hair and kissed him on his head. "I am not happy. I am the happiest!" she said. "I know that," he said and chuckled. He held her waist and kissed her belly and then slightly pecked her lips. "You don't know how happy I am!" he replied again.
"Kabir! I want to talk to mom one last time before we leave," she said. Her eyes were moist. I want to tell her about this. "But Nisha, you know that it isn't easy. If they'll get to know about our whereabouts, they'll catch us, Nisha!" said Kabir cupping her face, "can't we forget that for a while, Kabir? I need to hear her voice for once," said Nisha. "Okay, but don't take too long," he said and she dialed her mother's number from her new number. Kabir stood up and sat beside her on the bed.
The phone rang for twice or thrice and the call was immediately picked up. A lady spoke out in a wobbly voice. Nisha couldn't speak as she was frightened. She didn't know what she should be saying. The lady spoke again asking who it was, she thought that maybe it was her daughter. Her voice had concern, anxiety and pain. "Nisha, is it you? Speak up Nishu, is that you?" the lady asked. "Mom," Nisha replied in a quavering tone. "Nishu, where are you? Why did you do this? Are you fine? Tell me something, what has happened? Is Kabir with you? Is everything alright?" she fired her questions at her daughter. "Mom, I am pregnant," replied Nisha which has blanked out her mother's mind for a while. "Just don't come back here, Nisha. Your papa and daadu will kill you, just go away with him! I know he's the right one for you. You'll be happy with him, my blessings are always with you," said her mother. "I will miss you mom," said Nisha. "Take care of yourself and him, Nishu. You can't be careless now," said the lady. "Yeah, mom!" Nisha replied and hanged the call as she could no more control herself. She threw her phone aside and Kabir took her into a bone crushing hug. She broke down in his arms. She cried for one last time. Her tears were needed to be flowed out. His embrace was the best place for her to break down. She slipped into a deep slumber slowly. She was tired. He made her lie down on the bed properly and comforted her by cuddling her in his arms. He had not slept as he was in hi deep thoughts. He planned to do something for Nisha as he couldn't see her unhappy. She meant everything to him. He thought of ideas to bring back that cheeky smile on her face. He had planned to do something for her this evening. This day was so special for them.
Kabir had arranged for a doctor with the help of Aditya and got a check-up done for Nisha and had also asked about the precautions and how she should be taking care. This evening, Kabir had planned a surprise for her. He had thought of a few gifts which she would love. He had asked her to rest and went out to bring the gifts. She was adamant on letting him go; she didn't want him to go. She wanted him to be with her and she didn't know why. The sight itself of seeing him go was enough to raise an unknown fear in her heart. Kabir had to a hard time making her understand that he would come soon but her mind and heart weren't in a favorable condition. She was able to foresee an unknown situation. Maybe this was because of her slowly changing health conditions and exhaustion. She was lost in her thoughts when her phone beeped indicating a message. She opened the message hurriedly and saw his message:
KABIR: I'll be back soon! Worry less and rest more! Love you!
She smiled seeing the message. Maybe this message now was enough to lessen her fear. She replied to his message:
NISHA: be back soon! I need you! ❤️
That was her last message. She waited for more than an hour for him to return but he didn't return. With every passing her fear was increasing. It had turned dark outside now. She felt depressed. Her mind was filled with unwanted thoughts. She felt like she would never meet Kabir again. She was anxious and had started biting her nails in anxiety and that's when she heard a loud knock at the door. She immediately stood thinking it to be Kabir. But something was stopping her from opening the door. She went towards the door and kept her ear against the door hearing if there were any noises, but she failed as it was silent all over.
"Who's it?" asked Nisha. Her voice was filled with fear and anxiety. There was no reply. She thought that whoever had knocked the door had left. She slowly opened the door and walked out to witness no one there. She walked in and was about to close the door when she felt an enormous push and she stumbled back as the door opened with a thud. She looked at the person before her and was frightened to see him.
"Vikram? Why did you come here?" she screamed.
"I am here to punish you for your deeds!" he said and gripped her hair tightly in his hand.
"Leave me, please!" she shouted in pain.
"It's too late to leave you now! You'll have to pay for what you did," he said and slapped her and she fell on the floor.
"What do you want from me?" she had asked.
"Your life!" he replied as he slapped her again.
"Kabir will kill you if he comes to know about this! He will not leave you," she warned Vikram.
"I will kill him too. You both wanted love right? You both wanted to be together? Now, I'll kill you both! You'll have to die, but not so easily," he said.
He ordered a man to come in. He was the same guy she saw at the beach a few days ago. He had an evilness spread across his face. Vikram motioned him something through his eyes. The guy was heavy and looked like a criminal. Nisha was frightened. The man was slowly walking towards her. She grabbed her phone which was lying on the bed and hurriedly tried to call Kabir but this was witnessed by Vikram and he snatched the phone away from her. The guy grabbed her hand making her stand up and pushed her onto the bed with a huge force. She pleaded him to leave her.
"Please, leave me, I am pregnant, please," she said crawling backwards on the bed.
"The more, the merrier! No one is going to save you today!" said Vikram.
"Please leave us! We'll leave India, we'll never come back," said Nisha.
Vikram walked towards her and gripped her jaw with his fingers. "Just die," said he and pushed her back and walked out of the room. She tried to save herself, but the man's weight was three times to that of her. She grabbed a vase kept beside on the table and hit him on his head but it has just provoked him. She was pushed down on the bed. She kept struggling. She never lost hopes. She protested till the very end but eventually her body gave in to the struggle. No one listened to her pleadings and cries. No one came and helped her. Maybe she thought that this was going to be her last moment as her body went numb and her brain had stopped working. She just kept looking all around the room as her and Kabir's little moments raced into her mind and finally all she was left with was her tears and pain.
