Chapter 9
Once everyone retired to their room Kabir was trying to put an over enthusiastic Adhyaa to sleep but she wasn't ready at all. Later Kabir came to Nisha and knocked her door, since Nisha wanted to change her lehenga and remove the makeup and all the stuff she had asked Kabir to take Adhyaa with him and put her to sleep but Adhyaa was in no mood to sleep right now!
"Nisha, andar aa sakta hun?" Kabir asked before he opened the door
"Haan aaja" Nisha replied and opened the latch, Kabir hearing the sound of the latch pushed the door slightly and went inside
"Yeh so hi nahi rahi" he pouted and looked at Adhyaa in his arms who was fidgeting with his engagement ring
"Kyun?" Nisha asked
"Pata nahi, lagta hai yeh bilkul nahi thaki" he sighed
"Nahi Kabir, aakhien dekh iski, saaf saaf bata rahi hai ki yeh bohut thak gai hai" Nisha explained him as she looked in her daughter's eyes. A mother can never fail to read the eyes of her child
"Toh phir kyun nahi so rahi?" Kabir asked confued
"Idhar la isse" Nisha said and took Adhyaa from him, Adhyaa smiled as she went in Nisha's arms, Nisha asked Kabir to sit on the bed as she laid Adhyaa in the middle of the bed and herself laid next to her.
Adhyaa tried sitting up but Nisha started patting her making her lay back again, Nisha started humming the song that she used to hum to put Adhyaa to sleep when she was quiet small and used to miss Aradhyaa's warmth, though now she felt the same warmth in Nisha's arms it initially took some time for Adhyaa to get familiar to Nisha's warmth and that time Nisha used to sing a song for her that used to give Adhyaa immense peace and a secured motherly love, today again Nisha sang the same song.

Nisha kissed Adhyaa's forehead as she was already half asleep and continued singing

By the time Nisha had finished humming the song she glanced at Kabir who too had dozed off next to Adhyaa, she smiled seeing both of the sleeping peacefully and kissed their foreheads as she covered them with the duvet.
She switched on the dim light and laid next to Adhyaa, she too drifted off to sleep as soon as she closed her eyes, it was a hectic day for her too.
Ramesh who was passing by Nisha's room peeped from the window and smiled seeing the small family sleeping so peacefully, he silently thanked god for this day and prayed that their family should be like this for the entire life and left to his room
The next day was Nisha's mehndi followed by sangeet the other day, Nisha had given Adhyaa's complete duty to Kabir as she was supposed to have mehndi applied on her hand and she couldn't take care of Adhyaa.
The entire day Kabir was running behind Adhyaa who was running behind Nisha, as she felt that Nisha as angry on her and was ignoring her, finally Nisha made Adhyaa sit next to her along with Kabir.
As the lady kept applying mehndi in Nisha's hand Kirti teased Kabir that later he would have to find his name on Nisha's hand and had tried cheating and see where the lady was about to write his name but Adhyaa is more intelligent than her Dadda, she started irritating him!!
"Dadda" she called him and distracted him
"Yes Baby" Kabir said but he kept looking at Nisha's hand
"Dadda" Adhyaa called him again a little louder and made him look at her
"Dekha Jiju, aapki beti abhi se apni Mamma ki side hai" Kirti smirked and teased Kabir who looked at Adhyaa showing her that he was angry but she giggled at his expressions and clapped her tiny hand. He then sighed and asked Adhyaa what she wanted
"Bhooki (bhook) lagi" she pouted and replied that made Kabir go aww on her, he pulled her cheeks lightly and went to bring something for her
After a few minutes he came back with food and sat next to them, he alternately fed Adhyaa and Nisha, he also had food himself in between and Sukku made sure that he captured all these moments in Kabir's camera.
Nisha asked Kabir to take Adhyaa for a small nap and have some rest himself, Kabir obeyed her command and went to the room with Adhyaa
"Come on Baby, sleeping time" he said excitedly and laid on the bed but Adhyaa crawled from the other side and got off the bed
"Arey" Kabir followed her as she started running in the entire room, giggling and laughing seeing her father chase her
She enjoyed playing with him like this after a long time
"Princess" Kabir called her as he cashed her
Adhyaa would scream scared that she would be caught and then run in the opposite side and laugh, Kabir too used to chuckle a bit and the start running behind her, finally after a long chase he as able to catch hold of her and he started tickling her by nuzzling his nose on her stomach and make her laugh more.
"Dadda, sirf thode dino ke liye kya gaye, Princess toh bohut zyada smart ho gai haan?" he teased her and started tickling her again, hearing their voice Nisha came up to them with cloth tied on her hands, seeing that cloth Kabir and Adhyaa both got worried.
Adhyaa almost was on the verge of crying as she thought that those were bandages and Nisha had got hurt, Kabir immediately went to her and asked what happened, Nisha first calmed him down and the replied
"Vo mehndi ka rang gadda chadhe issliye vo artist ne haath pe yeh bandh diya hai"
Hearing this Kabir was a little calm but Adhyaa still had tears in her eyes, Nisha looked at her and felt so overwhelmed seeing Adhyaa's love, she managed to pull Adhyaa in a hug and started placing feathery kisses on the top of her head.
She then explained Adhyaa that she was not hurt and will remove the cloth in a while, Adhyaa, though understood nothing she nodded her head positively and cuddled in Nisha's arms
"Yeh apne Dadda ko bilkul bhul hi gai hai" Kabir complained and acted to be hurt, Nisha and Adhyaa looked at him and each other, Adhyaa came out of Nisha's arm and went to Kabir.
"Adhyaa love Dadda" she said cutely and hugged his legs
Kabir gave her a 100 Walt smile and picked her in his arms
"Dramebaaz" Nisha taunted him and he gave her a fake smile
"Dadda" Adhyaa called Kabir gaining his attention "Chocis" she asked cutely and blinked her eyes, Kabir acted as if he is in deep thoughts and then looked at Adhyaa who was looking at him hopefully, he smiled and took her to the kitchen to have some chocolates
After a while Nisha removed the cloth and went to Dolly's room where all cousins had assembled along with Kabir and Adhyaa
"Kabir, chalo abh tumhara bohut important exam hai, Nisha ke haath main aapna naam dhoondo" Dolly gave him his task and Kabir immediately started searching for his name
"Milgaya" he said excitedly as he pointed his name on her palm, everyone clapped for him as he raised his collar in pride
"Not Bad Jiju, aap toh kafi smart ho" Kirti praised him and he quietly winked at Nisha who blushed slightly.
They all later started chit chatting and playing with Adhyaa, after that they all went to bed as they wanted to be fully charged for the sangeet next day!
