Prologue
"You better not speak up in front of me. You know what is gonna happen to you if you dare to." She told the young man in front of her.
"Leave him alone." Snarled someone from the back.
She was taken by surprise. She turned to see HIM. This was like the first and last time he would have dared to stop her. Who did he think he was prancing into the place like he owned it? This was Nisha's territory. He better not interfere between her and her brother.
"Excuse me! And who on earth are you to dictate what I ought to do and not, Mr. Morality?"
Kabir had been noticing since he had come to this place that no one ever said anything to her. But he sure did not give a dime about her attitude. Her eyes flickered dangerously, demanding an answer. He knew he was messing with a troublemaker. Not that he was scared. But he was surely curious to know why this pretty damsel was acting like some badass gangster.
Nisha went home in a rage. Her whole day was ruined by just this one guy who thought he could question her authority. That too when it was Sukku's fault that that dimwit girl had complained against them. Who asked him to go against the principal's daughter? And who cares if she was passing comments against Nishu? They did not deserve to sit in this office. And now Dadaji was not only going to blast them but their father would again be questioned about how he was trying to be a friend rather than oppress their dreams. She never liked her father having to hear all these harsh words, but she had no option but to keep her mouth shut. The lone tear helplessly left her eye. Sometimes it made just made more sense to keep quiet about things.
Not always. She wished she could go back and change what happened to her 8 years back..well..she cant escape her past now..she has become the very coldhearted demon she once feared..
Kabir went back to his new house. He had just recently shifted with his single mother and older brother Viraj from London. And enough drama had occurred simply on the first day of college. He was amused with the flashback he got right after he sat down for dinner. It was like he had witnessed some scene straight out of a book or Bollywood movie, except it was the heroine tormenting the poor fellow rather than the villain. He decided to find out more about her this week. Her presence and dominant streak had intrigued his interest. And why was she so cold towards him? 'Noone can be safe from my charm..', he thought out loud.
Sukku was in a dilemma. He had just embarrassed his Dad in front of Dadaji. But how could he stay quiet? That girl had the nerve to talk plain rubbish about his sister! How dare she point fingers at Nishu? She may seem like the coldest person to those who fail to understand her strength, but for all the cousins, she was their pride, their pillar of hope to rely on, their Miss Jugaadu who could somehow make things right. Noone can get away with insulting her. And he was not angry at Nishu. He knew she was concerned about his reputation. He had gotten into enough trouble to know exactly why she needed to protect him.
The cousins held a meeting that night. They decided they were going to approach the principal and make him understand the importance of Nishu in their lives. And obviously they had to set his daughter straight. Sukku's blunt words were not enough revenge. She needed to see the mirror, albeit just once.
So, what do the cousins do? It will be revealed in my next update!
Stay tuned!
