Day 24

Nisha was late. She had woken up late and she was scared of Viraj's anger. But when she reached the studio, she found that Viraj would be an hour late. She looked at her growling stomach. In hurry, she forgot all about it.

Grumbling, she entered the canteen and all her irritation vanished. Kabir had already ordered coffee and noodles and was waiting for her.

Smiling, she sat on the chair and started eating. Kabir shook his head at her craziness.

Kabir- Nisha, you seriously need to grow up. Thank God, Viraj nahi aaya, warna mar jaati na tu.

Nisha- (sipping coffee) Adat ho gayi hai, teri bakwaas sunte hue uthne ki...

Kabir- Aur jab main Australia jaunga, tab?

Nisha-(without thinking) I'll miss you...

Kabir looked at her with his eyes wide in shock. Yet he was happy that she'll miss him. Nisha looked everywhere except him.

Kabir- Tu sach mein mujhe miss karegi?

Nisha-(poker face) Nahi, I'll miss your salt coffee.

She forced laughter to reduce the awkwardness and both knew that she would miss him, and he would miss her too. Suddenly Saurav messaged Nisha that Viraj had come and he was searching for her. Thanking her stars, she excused herslef and left.

After shooting for a scene, Kirti told Kabir that Vrushika wanted to see the choreography of the dance sequence.

*Rehearsal hall*

Vrushika, Shantanu, the dance crew and Nisha were watching Vrinda and Kabir dance. In the movie, it was an imaginary dance, that helps the female protagonist realizes her love, so the dance was a bit close.

Sun Saathiya

*Tune*

Nisha closed her eyes and Kabir walks to her.

Ho.. sun saathiya maahiya(Kabir wrapped his arms around Nisha's waist)
Barsa de ishqa ki syahiyaan(Nisha hugged him)
Rang jaaun, rang rang jaaun ri, haari main(They broke the hug and he kissed her forehead)

Tujhpe main jhar jhar jhar jaaun(He lifted her)
Hoon piya bas teri main(He twirled slowly)
Ho chhu le toh khari main(placed her on the ground)
Toh khari main khari main...(caressed her face)

Main ret si, boond ka zariya tu (She walked away from him)
Paa ke tujhe bheeg jaaun re (He held her hand and pulled her back)
Main ret si, boond ka zariya tu(Her back collided with his chest)
Paa ke tujhe bheeg jaaun ri(She turned to face him)

Tar jaaun tar tar jaaun(She walks to the steps at the end of dance floor)
Dariya ye tar jaaun jee (Climbed them without breaking the eye lock)
Ishq ye paake main tera(He looked at her with a smile as she jumped)
Nikhar jaaun ri... (He held her in his arms)

Piya bas teri main(He helped her stand on the floor)
Ho.. chhu le toh khari main(She wrapped her arms around his neck )
toh khari main khari main... (She stood on his feet)

Music (They danced with she standing on his feet)

Ho.. sun saathiya maahiya(She steps down)
Barsa de ishqa ki syahiyaan(He walks away while she stands there blushing)

Nisha was shocked to hear claps and opened her eyes. She saw Kabir and Vrinda smiling as everyone praised the choreography. Nisha fumed in anger. She went out of the rehearsal hall. Shantanu saw this and smiled. After all, his plan worked.

After an hour, Kabir and Vrinda went to watch the shooting. It was dark except for a spotlight on Vrushika. But that didn't stop Kabir from noticing Nisha.

She had tied her hair in a lose bun, with a strands falling on her neck. With the back of the pen in her mouth, she was reading the dialogues.

Kabir- (murmuring to himself) yaar, why are you so cute?

Vrinda heard this and giggled.

Vrinda- Adhere mein bhi you saw her... Wow...(faking admiration) That's true love when you feel your partner's presence.

Kabir hit her on the back of her head lightly.

Later that day, Kabir entered Saurav's house with tiredness clear on his face. He entered in the bedroom and smiled as he looked at Dolly, Nisha and Saurav's picture in a photo frame near the bed. He felt as if his tiredness just vanished somewhere looking at Nisha's smile.

She sat on the sofa with a bowl of soup in her hand and switched on the T.V. and smiled as she saw that "Tumko toh Aana Hi Tha" was playing. Nisha blushed remembering their dance in the club.

Kabir too was listening to the song and smiling. Saurav entered the house and was taken aback to see that Kabir was listening to a romantic song. He changed the channel to a sports channel to watch the match.

Kabir- (out of the trance, annoyed) What the hell?

Saurav- (confused) Kya? What made you so annoyed; it's a cricket match dude, India versus New Zealand. And by the way, kabse aap, Kabir Kumar, romantic gaana sunane lage?

Kabir sighed. "Main gaane mein todhi interested tha, main toh Nisha ke baare mein soch raha tha." He said to himself.

Nisha remembered that she had to call her dad because he had called her in the morning, but she couldn't talk to him. She saw her mobile's wallpaper and sighed.

Nisha- Yaar, ab toh tu mera peecha chod do...

She said to Kabir's smiling picture and looked at their group picture which they had clicked on his birthday.

They were missing each other. Something or the other made them remember the other and blush or smile thinking of the wonderful moments they shared. And anyways, love is equal to smiling and blushing for no reason which will make the onlooker think that the person is mad and has to be sent to the mental asylum.
