Beautiful Message Which We Missed

I agree... there really is a thought-provoking message. Its not enough for parents to just love their kids and provide for them... they need to be well-connected to what is going on in their children's lives. I also liked how the CVs presented this issue in a very subtle way until now... I mean, when we see the first few episodes, we don't even realize there is something wrong with Nisha... that under the fun-spirited girl there could be these unhealed wounds. When the lehenga drama happened, none of the family members thought to think there could some reason behind Nisha's refusal and even we as viewers were not given any clue about it... and it seemed like Nisha's stubbornness. It was nice how they threw each hint in a subtle way and gradually brought the entire thing to this point.

Plus, even though Nisha's mother has woken up late to the issue, I'm glad she is giving prime importance to the matter now. She started worrying about stuff and went to the counselor only because she couldn't understand why Nisha has no interest in marriage at all. But now even though Nisha agreed to the marriage, I'm glad that Lakshmi hasn't let go off her investigation and that she is more concerned about getting to the root of the issue than about getting her daughter married.

i was wondering the same...that how come no one noticed any change...or didnt bother to ask why...as she changed her dressing, her touch, her interest in sports...

but yes, a very subtle and beautiful message from the CV's to not take such things lightly...there is usually a reason behind it...without it being thrown in your face, just there, like people would and can take things for granted...

Yes, Nisha from episode one...you see a vulnerability in her...but yes in the lehnga time...when she imagines and feels throttled by everyone...and escapes to the terrace, felt like it was a little more than, I just dont like these clothes...

And then her dreams...

And then was very obvious with her panic attacks...

Its commendable that such a sensitive topic is taken by the show. I hope and pray that they handle the issue with the same sensitivity till the end.

Taking the track and the general scenario into account, the incident has a huge role to play before pointing fingers at who is responsible. Same is the case with Nisha. We cannot say Ramesh and Lakshmi hadn't been good parents or has failed. Like the way Lakshmi questioned Nisha today, Ramesh and Lakshmi could have Nisha even before too. The same way Nisha didn't answer today, she might have not answered then too. Both might haven't felt the urgency to get deep into the matter as they would have found Nisha behaving perfectly normal with just few changes.

Now another question is why couldn't Nisha share her problems with her parents. I don't think Ramesh or Lakshmi would over react, or may blame her. They seem to be understanding parents. Then why? According to my reasoning, the incident would have been such that Nisha herself is so ashamed of that she is just not able to share it with anyone. The incident would tarnish her image, her parents image and her family image so much that she might have considered to keep it within herself. Or she could have been blackmailed into keeping it a secret.

With Lakshmi knowing her truth, what would be her next move? Should she tell Nisha that she knows the truth now? Should she share it with Ramesh and both of them together be the pillar of strength for Nisha? Or let Nisha come around by herself?

I think girls need to be given good knowledge about proxemics. They need to know the distance which men/women should main when having a conversation with them. Jwala had no clue about that. Same way, boys too should be taught about the distance they need to maintain. Parents do hold responsibility to educate their children about this.
