What I fail to understand is what so wrong in opening a restaurant ?

Why is Umesh's father so against it ? They are already a business family. Service holders ke ghar me hota hia bohot tamasha but yaha ye itna bada case kyu hai ? Do they consider even professional cooking a womanly job ? Wiase Restaurant is more kind of safe business unlike other business. Insaan kabhi khana nahi chodta.

Saree showroom and jewellery outlets are also own by men but people don't complain it to be a girl thing to do. Is hisab se to inko bhi auroton ko chalana chahiye.

In Indian Society, kitchen is meant for womens. Typicality! Probably thats why the family doesn't want Umesh to indulge in it. For them being a chef means nothing but a khana banane wala.
