"Yes navya ever since you walked into my office you made a place into my heart...there has not been a time I have not thought about you..a night I have not dreamt about you..somehow...you became my habit...my need...my madness...navua..." *he paused* " I Want You!"just you...

She looked at him with her eyes wide open, mouth in a O shape. She looked down and then at him, did he really say that? She took two steps back and he checked her reaction with a straight face. It was 'fight' or 'flight' time for navya.

"Ye ye ye aap kya keh rahe hain?"(What are you saying?)

"Wohi jo tumne suna"(Whatever you heard) He came slightly forward. She clutched her duppatta and closed her eyes for a few seconds. A whiff of his musky perfume came towards her and she relished the smell and then shook herself to stop daydreaming.

"This is not right...plus look at you and me...we are so different in every which way...Your rich I am poor, you live in a mansion I live in a rented house, I walk you drive or take a helicopter,

He chuckled and came a little forward and folded his hand. "Well they say opposites attract". She went back and hit the pillar behind her, he looked at her amused by her innocence.

"But we are different why don't you understand..." She tried escaping and he put his hand trapping her against the pillar. She tried going the other way he trapped her again. Her heart beat went into over drive. Her breathing quickened and boy did he notice!

She grabbed her courage and began to explain to him the reason why this was not possible.

"Sir listen what I'm trying to say we both are like the earth and sky...I being the earth grounded and you being the sky floating. .and sir I cannot compromise on my beliefs".

He edged slightly closer and said in a very husky whisper. "But navya I am not telling you to compromise on anything...people can change you know even their beliefs".

She looked up with tears in her eyes, "Dekiye sir muje jaane dejiye, ye teek nahin hain" (Look sir let me go..this is not right)

navyai, don't tell me you don't feel about me they way I do? Look me in the eye and say...ke tume koi farak nahin parta?" (That your not affected?)

She tried to get out of his trap. "I don't know what your talking about!"

He grabbed her wrist firmly to the point it began to ache. "Sir let go your hurting me". She looked up and saw he was not willing to let go. She began to cry at her helplessness. Anant expression changed and he closed his eyes beating himself up of why he made her so upset.

He let go of her wrist and spoke very gently looking into her moist eyes that were finding it hard to fathom the revelation. "Jao navya...socho iss bhaare main...main apni feelings toh nahin daba sakta lekin tum pata lagao ke mera tumari zindagi main hone ye na hone se tume koi farak parta hain ke nahin?" (Go navya..and think about this...I can't bury my feelings but you find out that me being in your life or not does it matter to you?)

She looked at her wrist just to make sure he had really let go of it. She took a few steps back and stumbled. He looked on with a slight smirk at the affect he had on her. She turned and ran as fast as she could to get out of the beasts palace..or can one call him a prince now?

He saw her disappearing from his view once she crossed the entrance door. "navya the dynamics have to change...I will convince you somehow". Saying that he turned to go back to his laptop.

navya ran back home like she was hit my a bolt. Her breathing was shallow and her heartbeat she had to control it by pressing her hand firmly on her chest. She went into the kitchen and took a glass of water and gulped it down and took deep breaths.

"navys. Relax. Its nothing you can't handle. That anant thinks he will say that and I will believe him? Well he does not know me for sure...I mean he can't love me because he does not like girls like me...he prefers modern girls like mahi..so why is he saying all this to me?"

navya was getting confused because nothing was adding up. It was much too soon. She did not know what she felt about him. She was flattered that the Anant was infatuated by her but to blurt it out like this- she was not sure-not sure at all!

She rang her friend Piya as always she was the only moral support she had in her life. She asked her to come round as it was urgent she spoke to her. After about an hour she came to visit her friend.

"What you saying the Anant put his heart infront of you..oh my god navya you should count yourself lucky". She playfully slapped her.

"Piya be serious...how can I take him seriously as he dumped her just yesterday?"

"I agree navya but by what you told me don't you think he has had feelings for you for ages? I mean giving you a job and then clearing your rent arrears and supporting you over his girlfriend?"

"Well I never thought of him like that..."

"Maybe you should, he is a good catch"

"Yeh and other things as well- like ...

"Yes to others but not to you though- because he likes you".

"Well whatever Piya I am just going to stay away from him, you know just do my job and come home".

Piya smirked as she had heard Anant was a very determined character. She had mentally done a bet how long it will take for the navya cookie to crumble.

nikhil had bought nimi a roses bouquet as a suprise gift for her birthday. "For me?" she smiled like 1000 watt bulb. "Happy Birthday to the most beautiful girl in my life".

"Thank you the most hot looking guy in my life AFTER my brother" she pushed her tongue out.

"You know nimi if he was not your brother I would have been a very very very jealous guy". He came close and pecked her lips. He phone began ringing it was her brother Anant. She told nikhil to stay silent. "Haan bhai..."

"Happy birthday to my gorgeous sister who lights my world".

"Thank you bro but I'm a little upset you could have come to see me to say it to me?"

"Yah I know but you know got too many business meetings so a bit busy but I promise soon I will pop round".

"Uhhh Bhai make sure you tell me okay?"

"Why you have a problem by me coming just like that?"

"No bhai its nothing like that".

nikhil gestured her about money. She looked at him and assured him she is about to ask him give her a minute.

"Bro I have run out of money can you send me some...? I got no money for clothes or books".

"Fine I will tell Aman to transfer the money into your account...by the way I sent you a present hope you like it..."

nimi put the phone down and looked happy that she had spoken to the only family she had remaining.

It was past midnight and two people had no sleep in their eyes- anant and navya.

Anant looked out of his gliding windows feeling relieved that he had let go of mahii. navya was only a instigation of the relationship that had come to an end anyway. He stared into the brightly lit sky. He looked up and remembered her words that she was the earth and he was the sky.

"navya the sky will have to come down to earth...and you will have to believe me". He lay down tossing and turning. Everytime he closed his eyes he saw navya looking upset. He did not tell her all this so she would feel upset.

*Tomorrow I will see her at the office and see how she reacts and I will take it from there. No point beating myself about it".

On the other side navya was tossing with getting images of how she was so nervous with his close proximity and how will she able to avoid him at the office? She went out to look at the stars and smiled.

"god you know best what to do so guide me...but I really am nervous about all this...all I want to do is go work and do my job and come home-thats it! I don't care what the Anant feels"

She looked around with her hair flowing behind and she felt safe after talking to her god...she decided to go asleep and face her worst fear- Anant.

navya could not eat anything due to her stomach getting butterflies. Ever since she woke up all she could think is about Anant and what he said. How will she face him today? How would he react to her? How will she act in front of him? This was bothering her at no ends. She managed to eat a little cereal but began nauseating. She began to get ready and looked into the mirror thinking do I look good?

"navya what does it matter how you look...and its better you don't look nice". Saying that she began putting her makeup on, extra carefully.

"It's not as if I am wearing it for the first time...navya don't think too much into this okay?"

She checked herself once over and left home. All the way she was practising deep breathing to stop herself from getting panicked.

She entered the office and was delighted to find Anant was nowhere to be seen. She kept making excuses to get out of the main office hall andbegan going into the side rooms for photocoping and filing. After a while she came out and went to sit in front of her desk.

The whole staff began running left right. She knew-she knew he was here. Anant took long strides towards his stairway. He took extra hot in his white shirt and black coat. His black hair . The air filled with his ultra sexy aftershave and the girls began swooning because he was single AGAIN.

All the employees greeted him and he noticed the one person he wanted to hear it from was lost for words. He stopped near navya and gave his Anant trademark smirk.

"navya aren't you going to wish me Good morning?"

She looked at him amazed at his candid posture. Her heart began beating again.

"Good...good morning sir!" she stammered half in a whisper. He smirked and then replied.

"Good morning, to you too".

Saying that he left her with her mouth agape. Aman who was watching this came near navya and shook his head.

"Unbelievable navya, Anant wished you good morning...it never has happened since I have been working here".

navya looked embarrassed she knew he was doing this because he wanted to put her on the spot after what he had told her yesterday.

nimi received a parcel and she straight away knew it was from her brother Anant. She opened it and found a photo framed of their childhood. She smiled and remembered all the good and bad times they had together. There was a little box which was prettily decorated. She opened it and found it was a small pendent with her initials on it.

"nimi your brother hasn't sent you anything which is out of this world so why are you smiling?" nikhil seemed annoyed it was not something expensive. She put her hand on his thigh.

nikhil my brother has gifted me so many expensive things over the years that you will be surprised. I told him last year to give me something sentimental. You know I love my brother he really is always looking out for me".

"Why don't you tell your brother to marry ????

"I have and I have seen a really gorgeous girl for him but ?? he never wants to admit his feelings".

"Really who is she?"

"His secretary"

"What?!!!" he giggled.

"Yes nikhil and she is really hot".

The conversation continued about navya and Anant till both had discussed it fully. nimi put the photo near her bed to keep it and cherish it for the rest of her life.

It was 11am Anant began to get restless at not being able to see navya anywhere round the ground floor. He did not want to make it obvious so he came down to style it out he was checking on his employees if they are doing their job properly.

His eyes searched left, right up and down but she was nowhere to be seen. His agitation grew by the second.

"Aman!" he sais.

"Ji sir?" He quickly came by the side.

"Where is navya?"

"Uh sir she is...she is in the stock room sorting out all the files."

Anant looked annoyed what was she doing in that dusty place?

"Unbelievable! Kyun???

"Sir she insisted of doing it...she said she wants time to herself".

Anant smirked and muttered under his breath. "Oh really? So navya is avoiding me?...lets see..as the saying goes if the mountain does not go to Muhamet, Muhamet has to go to the mountain".

He walked into a place he had hardly ever gone before...the reason? The lady that had stolen his sanity, navya.

navya was busy coughing and dusting the file. "navya just to avoid anant look what your doing you silly girl! I mean these files are from 1947...God knows if anyone has even looked at them for years but good you deserve it...it was you that suggested you wanted to do this".

She began trying to reach some files that were on the fourth shelf but despite the fact she was tall she was unable to reach. "oh god what has happened to anant all of a sudden, he use to hate me and look the things he said to me yesterday".

Anant walked in searching around the dark dusty place.

"This navya aik dum pagal larki hai, why did she have to come into this dungeon?"

He went to the right and found her standing on the stool talking out loudly. He found it hilarious and cute at the same time.

She got a stool and climbed on top of it. "Maybe I should just be brave and tell him that...muje koi farak nahin parta anant ke hone ya na hone se(I am not affected by him being or not being)...thats it I just need to be straight and tell him that...that..."

"What are you going to say to me navya?"

She paused frozen in her tracks. she began hyperventilating again and closed her eyes. " make sure he is not here.."

"I am here navya!" he looked up looking smug.

She opened her eyes and turned ever so slowly and voila there he was in his magnificent glory. She hesitated and fumbled which caused her to lose all balance.

"navya watch out!" The knight in shining armour that he was he quickly tried to get there but she fell with such great force that she landed on him and took him down with her.

navya had squinted her eyes with fear...her head was aligned on to his heart. She could hear his heartbeat thumping away. She slightyly got up and saw him looking at her with adorable eyes.

She looked into his deephazel brown eyes which forgot to blink..he flickered his eyes from her eyes to her lips which were trembling.

"navya sach batao tume koi farak nahin parta?" His voice seemed as smooth and silky as a Galaxy chocolate bar.

"Mmmhhh bolo na navya? Mera itne tumare kareeb hone se tume kuch nahi hota?" (Tell me navya? Me being so close to you nothing happens to you?)

She looked at him lost into his sweet charms. "Nahin" (No) she said audibly not really meaning it or sounding to convincing to anant.

"navya why you avoiding me since morning...I really missed seeing you"

She tried getting up but ended up falling back onto him again.

"It seems even your god wants you to fall back on me again...but hey I don't mind". He looked at her intensely.

She got back to her senses. "anant I don't have any intention to fall on you and no Mr Anant nothing happens to me!"

She got up herself and started dusting herself. "navya your not gonna give me a hand..I am your boss still". She looked at him and felt bad that she made him fall. She forwarded her hand and he took it but instead of getting up he pulled her down onto his lap. She looked bewildered and yet vunerable.

"Tum mano ya na mano...kuch to ho raha hain tume..look your blushing". (You accept it or not...something is happening)

She looked nervously down and being caught blushing and he kept his gaze a moment longer.

From a distance Aman voice could be heard. "Sir...navya? where are you?"

"Unbelievable he has to come after me?...Aman I am here!"

navya quickly got up and Anant got up himself to face Aman.

"Sir what are you doing here?"

He looked at navya and she looked away. "Uh I was checking if navya was doing her work properly...but yeh she is damn good...anyway good work navya...come and see me in half an hour I need to give you a dictation hmmm?"

navya nodded and he left with mighty victorious grin.

okay now i am really confused. Does anant really love navya or is he doing this because navya said he is not of her type. I guess the 2nd one :p
