Part 2 –

Ananth held navya's hand firmly and shook it profusely...navya gave a confused look at ananth who didnt seem to have the intention of leaving her hand.she cleared her throat rather loudly and gave him a deathly glare. He immediately realized what he was doing. " shall we go?" she asked with a weird smile on her face. Ananth nodded and they walked the rest of the path leading to the house. after the house there were a few steps of stairs and then a porch which led to the door.

anath stepped up the stairs while navya held his hand out of fear. for the first time in his life anath felt something flutter in his indifferent heart of stone ….one that didnt have time for emotions. that night he was sure that he was falling hard for navya... navya looked at him with fear in her eyes but anath gave her a reassuring nod. they set foot on the porch. the dry leaves on the porch didnt rustle under his feet like it should have ...instead it was quiet..like it was afraid of making noise without permission….Ananth looked down at his feet in confussion. Navya didnt seem to notice it. They put their other foot forward when a chill ran through Ananth's spine. sonething new was happening to him an emotion he never felt before. not love ...something else...his palms were sweaty and his heart raced. it was...fear…. there was nothing to be afraid of...its not like he hadnt been to a deserted so called haunted house before.he did it a million times but this house was different. he looked over at navya who was looking around curiously….she didnt seem scared at all. there was no way he was gonna be scared infront of a girl and especially not a girl who looked so beautiful ….he took a deep breath and walked over to the humongous door.it was ancient.you could see so from the wood used and the heavy metal knocker." the ghost must be ancient and old" he wondered out loud." no she was in her mid twenties when she died". replied navya…. Ananth was suprised that she knew about this place more than he did." how do you know about all this?". he asked." duh..i am an architect..this house is an architectual marvel..i studied about this house and its history before."answered navya… "oh ... Wow not bad architecture and all i just a dancer(srry guys couldn't think of anyother profession at dat tym 😛)". said in a fake pitiful manner." so was the ghost...she was a classically trained dancer" navya said excited." they teach you all this in architecture class?" he questioned suspiciously." urm..yup we learnt everything about her." she answered. " then you must be knowing her name too.." because no matter how much research i did i never did find out."
Anath asked curiously. " nope..sorry no luck there...no one really knew her name..she was always known as 'the owner'.she was lonely and hated by all..so no friends...and she was kind of psychotic" replied navya in a matter of fact tone." oh just my luck a psycotic ghost...well good thing there is no such thing as ghosts." said he sarcastically…...Navya rolled her eyes at him. " i think we are getting side tracked again.besides i always wanted to see a ghost" said she... now it was Ananth's turn to roll his eyes." you cant see what doesnt exsist" he mumered under his breath….. " sorry ..did you say something?" asked she." no..no.." he replied instantaneously.. Ananth went over to the door and twisted the knob.it turned but it didnt open. he turned it again frustrated. it didnt open…. he was surprised.if it was locked…. 'why isnt it opening?.

navya laughed at him. " i am going to prove to you now that ghosts do exsist. " she said as she walked over to the door…ananth looked on puzzled as he saw navya bang the knocker against the door slightly."may we enter?" she asked in a polite voice. " what are you doing ? there is no..." he stopped mid sentence as the door flew open. Navya looked at Ananth triumphantly as she saw his face turn white." told you...ghosts do exsist" she said in a mocking voice. Ananth came back to his senses. " this doesnt prove anything..except that there is someone else in there" he said as he entered the house with navya trailing close behind. Little did he know that there wasnt someone else in there...there was something else in there waiting...
