Ritch dear, a big thank you for this post, much needed one! I completely agree to all your points . To me this itself was very strange that in the name of a so called youth show they never portrayed the ambitions and aspirations of the leads as far as their career is concerned. Its so natural to be in love after you have joined college, and also in many cases this is true love as is the case with ANYA, but does that mean that they will never discuss their career or further studies at all? What sort of nayi soch is that to begin with? Also the gang has never ever discussed their future studies and plans at any stage of college days? Isnt that strange? If Cvs would have atleast shown a bit of these realistic insights of college and student life I don't think it would have hampered the love story in any way. Rather it would have strengthened it. In my POV this lack of thought entrainment is one of the reasons that the young audience is not thinking anything beyond ANYA marriage!

But now that, that was not done then there is little option of postponing marriage under that scenario. Knowing the rigid and conservative nature of the loonies ANYA early marriage may not be a bad idea (viewers like me would be atleast less tense that now loonies will not do something stupid to cancel their marriage, plus this being an SP show leads cannot keep on pursuing career and stay engaged!), in fact after marriage ANYA can consolidate their future as far as profession is concerned. So now the real nayi soch should be that ANYA getting married and then Navya continues to work/study and Anant also professionally makes himself stronger by doing courses, studying side by side to work etc... There are thousands of examples of women getting married early and then continuing with their careers and higher studies and very delicately they balance family and work. Yes, you need some support and compromises from your husband and family and there in should come nayi soch again! "Howwill that happen? " that is cvs job!

As you said Ritch, Amar Sir is just the medium to bring in this nayi soch. So hopefully cvs will do justice to the tagline and not put him in bad light. On the other hand they should not start MU once again as that would be back to square one. I really hope that the so called dinner on one hand shows Navya confirming her intentions of getting married to her beloved and on the other hand Anant realizing Navyas potential and supporting her to work after marriage. That would be our perfect ANYA with the flavor of nayi soch. Iam sure once this happens the audience will also love that ANYA and even Amar sir!

Ossum post Rit!! 👏& phew thank God u made it...though the mention of pressing legs just cracked me up...my immediate thought?

😈
Leg pressing anyone?!! j/k...

Since u raised the topic i'd like to add my own 2 cents...wasnt it Navya who went & sobbed to Amar abt her tiff with Ritz?? That too she was staying in Anant's house & Anant was her chauffeur, care taker, lover & what not!! Wasnt that crossing the professional boundaries? no matter if Anant was chucking tantrums at her, he shud hav been her first Aunt Agony after all majnu has always melted whenever she has cried!!
When Amar accommodated Anant in an for-office-folks-only party, & Navya didnt have the guts to tell Anant that he was actually a gate crasher, wasnt Amar being a matured guy who appeared to hav a heart & brains when he let Anant stay for the entire length of the party??
Last but not the least...when a guy bails out a couple from jail in the dead of the nite, he by default becomes embroiled in their lives!! I'm just glad he didnt even mention that Anant was behaving so kiddish thruout that particular nite & that he cud be a wrong choice!! He did stay away from the core personal matter!!
I do not hate AnYa but nor do i hate Amar. And I just dont see how the latter ends up in the hate list when we hav forgiven the former for their most atrocious behaviours!

Wowo ujjain you quote my words too I just loved it. Tha is nayi soch for me too get them married na get them do the work or study for better future. Vedantha pres wont be there for whole time as the world is changing and in future we might not need presses for printing, as there wont be no newsprints and papers. So if you wanna eat something in future let navya work and anant do an MBA. 😆

great post, ritchelle! I am so glad that the adda girls are back!!! I was worried after I did not see you all for the past few days. I actually went looking for you ladies in other forums !!! Am an adda addict 😛 I am also so glad that this topic is being discussed. I have been thinking about this for the past couple of days and have wanted to write about it. I have also been worried to see the reaction of some of our friend on the forum. Its almost as if AnYa will get married and that will be it - story over, life over. And whatever needs to be done to make this marriage happen should be done.

As you said life does not end after marriage and marriage is not all that life is about. Marriage and love are very important for a person to feel confident, secure, loved and supported- this love and support should help the person realise all their abilities, explore their skills, develop and grow as an individual, contributing to society and making a place for one self in the world. Anant will have this opportunity along with love. Why is Navya being made to choose between the two. She should also have the opportunity to work and explore and develop her skills and abilities along with love. Why should a girl be confined to home and hearth because that was her traditional role? She should have equal oppportunities. Home and hearth responsibilities can be shared between the girl and guy.

Amar Sir's question is what any normal person would ask of these two. They are only 21. They should focus on building their careers right now and then get married in a few years. My mother got married at 21, forty years ago!! Some things should change in 40 years.

We all know what Navya's response will be - she will say that being with Anant is her dream and she is trying to achieve her dream. Which is good in this case because without marriage they will not be allowed to even talk to each other. So they should get married now because then they can be together. But this choice should not mean that Navya has to give up everything else in her life. That is too big a sacrifice, it is too big a loss and it is really not even necessary. Toh loonies ko manana padega...hopefully that will be the story line. That will be the nayi soch...

It will be very good if Anant through this conversation realises what all Navya is having to give up for him...maybe that will encourage him to do something about it...

Also in case there are any problems because of Renu's divorce maybe Amar Sir can advice and help Anant and Navya to be financially independent - because that is when they will really be able to follow their dreams...living under the Bajpai's thumb as the youngest in that extremely hierarchical family is not likely to make anyone happy. let us see what happens... but I am glad that Amar Sir has raised this question. I am hoping it will lead to some good discussion...otherwise it is worrying to see both on the forum and in the serial that Navya giving up all other aspects of life for marriage is almost taken for granted...

Hi Clarissa
how alike we think! I am so happy that we are having a healthy discussion after so many days! Working in that loonie press after just a college degree is not the end of the world, so we are saying Anant pursuing further studies should also be a part nayi soch. This way he can have a stronger say in that hirerchial family mode and with Navya beside him they can have a good future! But Clarissa what is the percentage of audience who really wants this independent, strong ANYA with love and respect for each other in the form of Nayi soch? I would say however much the rigid aunties hate it cvs should give it a try.

hey, appu (is that your name?), you can call me Shilpa. Yes, its good to find people who are on the same wave length...wonder what direction swastik pictures and star plus will go in the serial...

Only I hope and worry that they dont break Anant's heart in the process... actually, in the whole serial I empathise the most with Anant. Navya has a supportive family and a strong sense of self which she has maintained even thru this relationship...but Anant Anant Anant - he has a horrible family...his father treats him like shit...if he doesnt have this relationship...one wonders what he will do...he will just have no one who understands him and no opportunity to be his own person... for him this relationship is the first time he has expressed himself, made his own decisions, gone against his family, pursued his dreams...if this works...it will give him immense confidence...if this doesnt work...he will be shattered and will go back to being the robot his family wants him to be...

You said my words dear . Actually I love anant a lot and navay comes only behind him . So at the end I don't want his heart to break. But if he sensible enough he can understand the capabilities of navy and what she can do except that silayi , kadayi and rona dhona.

exact wordwhich i always wanted to say Anant does evrything to whom he love and he did everything for navya thats y i am really worried abt his heart break we always say and pity on navya why she should leave her career etc no one cares for Anant even he does fighted for her job lied to his family blamed himself for that went through so much jealousy but even for once he didnt said her to leave the job he just fighted with himself and in that he did any wrong things which soon he realised but still people dont pity him he dont have anyone who understand him excpet navya even many audiences but no one here says wat navya did to bachao anant frm his families anger she always took decision based on her family this time its her turn to show some love towardsanant and inturn i wnt Anant to support her in job or watever be the case
