Hahaha that bit has gotten me very very eager to find out exactly what talli Anant will do..😈 Ritch ( I hope I can call you that) you are doing a wonderful job with this story..And your writing is so crisp and flows really well..I keep reading and the end of the chapter creeps up real soon and I am left "Hmpff, that was over fast, I want more!!"😆 And that explains how well your story is shaping up, cause I can't get enough of it..

@Tanu- thank you so so much dear! 🤗and since my name is Ritchelle (pronounced as "rish-el"), all my close friends do call me "rish", which literally while typing is spelt as "rit/ritch", so i'd feel really nice if you did call me Ritch! just wait and see for the happenings of the gang!

Chapter 3: A Very Drunk Anant

(Tribeca Nightclub, Mumbai)

Appy was mesmerised with the lights and the music in the nightclub. She'd never been clubbing before, because even though her parents were not as strict as Navya's, they didn't like the idea of their daughter going out clubbing. Fortunately, she'd told her parents that she'd be staying over with Rits, so she was covered for the night. Ranbir on the other hand had gone clubbing quite a few times before, and had also taken Rits along with him and his other friends. He dragged Anant to some free lounge chairs he saw, while Rits and Appy followed closely behind.

"Yaar, yeh sab toh maine sirf filmon mein dekha hai! Aaj pehli baar club mein khud darshan de rahi hoon! Rits dekh naa us ladke ko, kitna hot hai!" exclaimed Appy in delight as she took in her surroundings.

Rits wasn't as excited as Appy, as she'd been clubbing with Ranbir before, and she didn't find anything fancy in it, although she loved getting to spend that extra time with Ranbir. She kept nodding and commenting about the various people and happenings in the club, while cuddling up next to Ranbir, who had his arm around her. Anant, on the other hand, was shocked at the fact that he was in a club, and even more shocked to see what the people were doing on the dance floor and near the bar.

Soon a waitress came to take their order. Ranbir couldn't stop himself from ogling at her revealing clothes and was pretty incoherent until Rits slapped him. Appy and Anant burst out laughing looking at this, while Rits gave him a look that clearly said, "Ranbir, you're dead now!"

Ranbir quietly began to order for all of them, as the last part of his plan had to come into action here at the club. Since Appy and Anant had never come to a club before and he knew what Rits normally drank, Ranbir ordered for all of them.

"Yes, we'd like 2 Pina Coladas, a Beer, and a Margarita. Also a plate of nachos and cheese." said Ranbir, while still not being able to take his eyes off the waitress.

"Ranbir, tumhe sharam nahi aati! Main tumhare side mein baithi hoon aur tum us ladki ko kaise ghoor ghoor ke dekh rahe the? Thappad marne ka man kar raha hai!" said Rits rather angrily after the waitress had left.

"Jaaneman, main sirf tumse pyaar karta hoon. Ise bas dekh raha hoon, its guy tendency yaar! Lekin agar poori zindagi ki baat hai, toh sirf tumhare saath hi bitaaoonga!" replied Ranbir sweetly, knowing the statement was going to make Rits melt.

"Oye Romeo Juliet ke chele! Apne yeh ghise pite dialogues naa tum log baad mein karo! Yahaan pe main hoon, Anant hai!" said Appy butting in rather rudely, as she knew all these talks were rather ruining Anant's mood even more. At the same time the waitress came with their orders and Ranbir told them about their drinks.

"Appy, yeh ek simple sa mocktail hai, without alcohol. Anant, this is a mixture of lime juice and a little alcohol. Don't worry yaar, isme beer se kam alcohol hai, isiliye tere liye order kiya!" said Ranbir, hoping and praying that Anant didn't know what was the true content of a Margarita. On hearing that Anant was to drink the Margarita, Rits was about to shout at Ranbir, who nudged her to remain silent. She didn't understand what was he doing, but because she trusted him, she shut up and resumed talking to Appy.

Anant didn't really think much as he downed his glass in a go. Ranbir was nearly giddy with happiness as everything was going as per plan.

"Anant, kaisa hai yeh Margarita?"

"Amazing! Do aur order karein?"

"DO? Accha, theek hai!" replied Ranbir as he placed the order.

As the friends began to talk, no one noticed that Anant kept on and on ordering Margaritas. While in the beginning he wasn't talking so much, as the effect of the alcohol started to kick in, he began to talk more and more, and he became more incoherent. Rits realised that Anant was high and whispered to Ranbir.

"Ranbir! Anant ko chadh rahi hai!"

"Yeh hi toh mera plan tha jaaneman!" replied Ranbir with a wink.

"Ranbir! Paagal ho kya?" asked Rits in shock.

"Rits, kabhi kabhi depression mein alcohol does help a bit. Ise dekho, thodi chadhne ke baad he's loosened up so much naa! I won't let him get wasted, don't worry! Yeh hi mera plan tha, taaki use thodi der ke liye hi sahi,who is sab ke baare mein nahi sochega! Dekho, hum sab se baatein bhi kar raha hai! Pehle toh nahi kar raha tha naa? Don't worry Rits, kuch nahi hoga." replied Ranbir, while pulling Rits closer, kissing her on her head as she rested it on his shoulder.

As time passed by, no one noticed that Anant kept on drinking the Margaritas. Suddenly to everyone's surprise, Anant stood up and went on the dance floor. There he proceeded to make a fool out of himself by dancing in a funny way. Appy hid her face in her hands, and Rits began to yell at Ranbir for letting Anant out of control.

"Ranbir! Bola tha maine, ki yeh sab mat kar! Ab chalo, use rokte hain!" said Rits in anger.

Ranbir on the other hand was laughing profusely, and refused to go over. "Thoda maza lene do us bechaare ko Rits!"

Suddenly, a girl who was watching this rather closely, went up and began to dance with him in a rather vulgar way. In the beginning, Anant didn't really notice it. But when the girl began to get closer to him, he pushed her off him rather rudely. Ranbir and Rits noticed this and began to push their way to the crowds to reach Anant. This was rather difficult because of the fact that everybody was dancing and nobody was letting them pass through.

As the girl tried once again to get close to Anant, he pushed her off rather violently.

"Ladki tumhe bhaao de rahi hai, aur tum aise naatak kar rahe ho?" asked the girl seductively, as she tried to get closer to him.

"Tum Navya ho?" asked Anant in a slurred voice. By then, Rits and Ranbir had reached Anant and were watching the scene enfold in fear.

"Navya? Who?"

"Main sirf apni Navya ke saath dance karoonga. Kyunki main us se pyaar karta hoon! Lekin main us se baat nahi kar sakta, kyunki uski mummy ne bola hai ki hum baat nahi kar sakte! Lekin main us se baat karoonga! Abhi! Tu hat!" slurred Anant, as he stumbled out, walking towards the exit. Rits, Appy and Ranbir hurriedly followed him from behind to make sure he didn't do anything wrong.

"Anant, tum kya kar rahe ho?" asked Ranbir concernedly.

"Main? Main apni Navya ko call kar raha hoon. Kyun?" slurred Anant, appearing very confused.

"Nahi Anant! Tum Navya ko call nahi kar sakte! Itni raat ho gayi hai, aur tum dono baat bhi nahi kar sakte!" exclaimed Rits in shock.

"Shush! Sab chup! Aur kaan band karo. Yeh mere aur meri Navya ka private phone hai. Shush!" slurred Anant.

*PHONE CALL*

"Navyaa! Pehchaan kaun?" slurred Anant, smiling like an idiot.

"Anant? Kya hua? Itni raat ko? Maine kahaan tha naa ki humein baat nahi karni hai? Toh phir? Kuch hua hai kya?" asked Navya in concern.

"Navyaaa! Main tumhe bahuuut miss kar raha tha! Toh phone kiya! Main tumse bahuuut bahuuut pyaar karta hoon!" slurred Anant, while giggling at the same time.

"Anant? Tumne sharab pee hai?" asked Navya in shock.

"Nahi! Ranbir mujhe clubbing leke aaya, thode Margaritas piya, bas! Navyaaa, tum MERI HO! I LOVE YOU!"

Navya couldn't stop laughing as she heard Anant profess her love to her in such an inebriated state.

"Anant! Main bhi tumse bahut pyaar karti hoon! Ab mere liye kuch karoge?"

"Chaand bhi tod doonga, Ranbir ko maar doonga, tum bolo toh khud mar jaaoonga! Hey! It rhymed! Main shaayar ban gaya! Tere liye!"

Navya, giggling "Nahi Anant, ab tum Ranbir ke saath uske ghar jaaoge, aur so jaaoge. Theek hai? Aur kal subah, uthne ke baad, Rits ke phone se mujhe phone kar do. Theek hai?"

"Theek hai! Toh ab baat karein? Kaisi ho Madam?" slurred Anant, while grinning goofily.

"Anant, hum kal baat karein? Raat bahut ho gayi hai, aur mujhe bhi sona hai naa?" replied Navya rather sweetly.

"Tusi jaa rahe ho? Tusi naa jaao!" said Anant, as he began to whimper.

"Anant! Mere liye? Please? Kal pakka Rits ke phone se baat karenge, theek hai?" said Navya.

"Hmph! Theek hai! Lekin I love you! More than you love me!" said Anant, as he cut the phone.

*PHONE CALL ENDS*

"Chal Ranbir! Madam ne mujhe sone ko bola hai, aur kal Rits ke phone se baat karne ko bola hai! Chal!" slurred Anant, as he dragged Ranbir around. Appy and Rits smiled, seeing that now both Navya and Anant would be happy for some time at least.

(Navya's Tayaajee's house, Kanpur)

Navya was shocked knowing that Anant was completely wasted. But the fact that all he could think about in that inebriated state was her, really warmed her heart! How she wish she could have been there with him at that time! And listening to his voice, even though it was all slurred and he was drunk, made her miss him even more! She hugged her pillow, and closed her eyes, dreaming that she was with Anant, and all was well.

Spoilers for Chapter 4: Mohan finds out that Baba, Om and Bua Dadi are finding Anant a bride!

@Preet- awww! thank you so so much! the "Pehchaan Kaun" was taken from one of the many stand up comics i've seen on TV, so it was kinda swiped from there! but thank you so so much for appreciating my FF, its everyone's appreciation that motivates me to keep writing! *hugs*

Ritch that was so adorable!! I LOWE talli Anant, he is even more of a sweetheart when he is drunk..😆 I literally went "Awww" when he said "Tussi ja rahe ho, tussi na jao"..☺️Why couldn't you be in the writers team of this show?? Looking forward to the next chapter eagerly..😃

Really well written FF. I normally find it hard to read FFs when they are a mix of Hindi and English. I have no problem in understanding Hindi, just find it difficult to read Hindi written in 'English'. But for some reason I've had no issues with this FF at all. Me thinks it all courtesy the fact that the dialogues are so true to character that I can just visualise the whole scene. Amazingly well written. Look forward to reading the next chapter(s)
