a beautifully written post...and I echo your sentiments totally Sajini...but alas that is the truth...fiction will always be far from reality...I mean not everyone bumps into their to be bf on the first day of college itself...and no goodlooking Anant would try to follow or stalk a timid middleclass girl who let alone say hi is even scared to look up and face the crowd...no girl who has the so called strict sanskaar go totally crazy on her picnic that she would enter a boy's room...I remember the song na na karte ...waise na na karte sab kuch kar baithi Navya ne...it does not mean these things do not happen but in dreamworld for sure it does happen this way...and the madhouse that Anant is in...can't imagine in this day and age there would be such a family and that too so many restrictions on a boy of all the people...the story could go on...but this was it in brief...

It is really a nice post ...my view on how things have been going so far .
firstly I started watching this show becoz it had lot of similarity with my life ...the characters and all..

I can say till date about 70-80% of the things in the serial match with my life. I hope none of my family ever comes to know that i am writing personal stuff on forum 😆
My in-laws are a lot like Anants...they go for satsang ...listen to pravachan..my hubby too has to do all that when he is with them...but in college he behaved exactly as Anant does with friends ..all masti and masak..😉
his family had actually decided to have rista pakka with neighborhood girl ...but just like the present track ..before he could talk to his family to refuse the rishta..the girl herself made huge mistake...
She made fun of his cousins in public and that was it ...they called off the sagai ...

I wud add here that those were initial days ...just like in case of Navi...as relationship grew stroger we got the guts to face our family ...if not for that incident the story wud have been so diffent for me today...The path was not easy after that..we struggled a lot ...but the broken sagai gave us a chance to understand the dept of our relationship more and grow more courage to face the families.

I am actually shocked to see so much similarity with this show...my hubby asks me at times that did I send the story to startplus😊
Like navi ..I was very shy in college..but things changed gradually...
and the famous dialogue-- "mujhe jaana hai"...OMG i don't have a count of how many times i might have said this to my hubby when in college...
half of the time while watching Navya i feel as if I am looking at a flashback of my own life...

And believe me Shilpa such people exist and such things happen...we have struggled for more than 4 yrs to persuade our family for the marriage.I won't blame CVs for this reason ..yes there is huge difference in the presentation as it is a drama...but regarding the storyline...well it still looks like my story 😊

Hey Smita,
Thanks for sharing your peersonla story..I'lll only say 1 thing, that you are among the lucky few..who are able to live their dream at the end.. Iam sure, when you got married all your struggle and pain would have flew away form your life..
May god bless you..

Hey Smita...my genuine hugs to u and truly do appreciate that u shared ur personal life with us here and I must say...kudos to u for having the patience n due diligence in ur relationship that helped u pulled thru tough times...
I will not argue on the basis of ur true story and as much as its merely a coincidence that the current storyline of Navya matches ur life history...I will say that not everyone can have this luck of coincidence as well...
Without offending u...wat I mean to say is that U are 1 of the those lucky 1% that got into a situation where u were almost about to lose the love of life but got saved by the third person without u or ur hubby having to do anything...but my question still remains...wat is there was no third person??? wat if there was no shagun or in ur case that neighbourhood gal...or wat if she didnt do that blunder like she did...then wat??? wudnt u have lost ur hubby at that time itself??? and then tell me...wud that have been a right thing considering his heart was elsewhere???
Wat M trying to say is that in reality...majority of the times...situations come and no third person is always available to help u and u cannot simply rely on luck n faith to do magic charms for u and today's youth is all about being "go-getters" and if this show is all about "nayi soch nayi dhadkan"...then this needs to be shown aptly and this track was a good one to show it as well where Anant shud have stood up n spoken for himself rather than ducking down...and I dont mean he had to really disclose his alliance with navya...there were abundance other reasons he cud have given...wat the point is...instead of making him a weak character...esp after showing him totally focused n determined on wat he wants in life...they shud have brought spine in his character n have him speak up like how he did during picnic permission scene...
I truly feel...concluding this engagement track with Anant's efforts wud have added so much more credibility to the show n plus given a inspiration to the youth of today!!😳
Thanks once again for the reply sweetz..

@Barbie and Shilpa --thank u 😊... yes when the wedding took place i cud not believe that things were actually happening...my hubby kept teasing me for how nervous i looked during the ceremonies😆
to give it a thot ..I can actually write a book on m own story😛

@tvdost-- thanks dear , yeah it very much resembles a filmy or as u say Mills n Boon story ..boy meets girl..parents not agreeing ...lot of emotional turmoil...lot of struggle and then the wedding ..i hope it proves to be happily everafter in future too

Thank u all for the wishes.😊

@Shilpa--

I do agree with you on how CVs have evaded the difficult route ...but as I said earlier ...if there was no third person -- the story wud be diffenrt .

The thing is both the partners are not yet into a very strong relationship... the courage comes eventually with time as bond grows stronger..and for the people like Navi and Anant ..i didnt expect them both to open up to parents so quickly...having said that I second the fact that Anant had a chance to approach his bro and few others in the family and give things a proper try ...he kind of failed at that...we didnt get to see him trying much...😔

I lost interest in the show long time ago...actually right after the famous picnic and the moment Anant become moping king and navya, his moping queen! All that crying and "sad" separation talks were just so darn boring and melodramatic. I have never liked Addam's ..errr i mean Anant's creepy family from day 1, but had to bear their creepy crappy scenes. But the writers were taking their scenes way ...and i mean WAY overboard recently with all that Sa-Gun and her Creepy sis drama. So much so that they actually sidelined Navya's side of family, the characters that were in fact interesting to watch. They forgot about Renu's side of story for the melodrama in creepsters clan.

Yeah we get it that it is a "love" centered show BUT there's no need to make it just another generic star-crossed lovers sorta "love story." Aren't there bazillion such stories on every darn channel already?
eh...the show's lost its appeal and i don't think there's any "Reset" button around either.

Ciao.😃

Hey dear...
I must say...I did appreciate the sarcasm u added in here ...and as much as u may not believe it...lots of things that are being shown in this show (and am not saying exact scene to scene per say) do actually happen in the real life...Infact...each day if u read newspaper articles...u will come across how a teenager commited suicide coz the families were against this type of "illegal" per their books of values alliances...I, personally, have experienced a loss of a cousin in this scenario and thats why I say ...the show had the realistic touch to it and was actually addressing a common issue amongst many youngsters today...and I wud loved if they continue on with their realistic touch and not deviate from providing their message of "nayi soch ...nayi dhadkan"...
thanks for the reply 😳

that was wat I meant to say...after showing him focused n determined...he was not seen putting that determination to action as much...😒

Ciao.😃

Amyyy...my babyyy🤗🤗...where's u hun...
well how I know u n ur where u come from and yes...even I agree that too much focus was placed on AnYa love story and some really good potential story of Renu was put on hold which cud have easily been incorparated in AnYa story as well...
I really do hope that now after concluding this engagement track...they atleast bring her story back to the fore...
I for 1 still wanna keep hopes only coz lots of the things I let go when I watch the show mainly becoz I put it in the category..."well its a show afterall" and thus understand on how these ppl do their business running around like kids behind TRPs which results in some essential n interesting characters to go "MIA" 😆😆...However ...having said that...I generally like to take the show per its theme and watch the overall content of wat the storyline is trying to depict and so far...it was not that bad for me ...the only issue I have seen is the way CVs decided to conclude this engagement track and which is why the post ...😳
