Very sharp in noticing this...and yes...I completely agree with u as well...at first it looked abrupt to me...or rather out of pattern when first Navya mentioned the word "pyar" but today wen Anant mentioned it...I realized how trained we have become to other desi shows that we begin expecting a certain type of declaration of that word whilst the CVs here are in a totally diff zone of actions...and I must say...I am loving this approach...Now this is wat u really can call "Different" with a capital "D"šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘...It's different indeed...cuz most shows don't bother with nuances, with subtle build ups...and this show is surprising me with that...yes I too was taken aback by Navya mentioning pyar in the other epi but by this point I'm starting to understand the context...AN are largely about the unsaid understanding b/w them...they don't go into sweeping declarations of what is b/w them...they BOTH know what it is...Anant talked about the general perceptions of pyar...but when AN actually discuss what's b/w them...it's always about the feelings they flow with...as shown with how Navya describes the entire "achha lagta hai" bit...so simple and sweet...it's endearing.

Oh Gosh...yet another fling of motherly instinct awakening in me ...so much innocence n naiveneess on Navya's end came thru with these dialogues...U totally feel how obliviously she was covered in her little glass globe of dreams...poor thing ...the paining love that was pouring consequently from Anant's eyes...just too good 😳😳
LOL I know what you mean about the mothering instinct now...Navya has started to bring that out more in me too...you really do feel like patting her on the head comfortingly like she's a little naive baccha...poor kid...no wonder Ritz is so protectively mothering towards her too...I think Navya inspires fierce protective feelings in anyone who grows to care about her...whether it is her friends...or Anant...or us the audiencešŸ˜†

Again...kudos to CVs for not bringing in kekta maiya's "main chup rahungi" and misunderstandings formula and actually having the heart to heart talk between the parties involved...it maintained the realism that this show has carried up till now...and in her realization...u realized that this gal maybe a teenager but yet has so much maturity in her that she understands her plight ...her responsibilities of being a good n loyal daughter to her loving parents while being a strong n responsible human being as well who is not being selfish in just letting her feelings sway her away n doing things such as eloping and even ensuring that she does not let Anant deviate from the right as well...Yes, I agree...that balance was wonderfully maintained...she is very much a confused teenager who just went with the flow of those new feelings cuz it felt nice to meet Anant, talk with him...but at the same time she doesn't forget her parents and her responsibilities as a daughter either...what a interesting paradox she is...sooo naive and buddhu sometimes and then surprisingly mature about other things.

I will beg to differ here a wee bit...not that he is wrong in accepting that he is not able to bear the separation...but coz I see him the weaker link in this AN combo as he has the tendency to drive up his emotions and falls for them very easily without giving it a thot process...impulsive as we say... He is not able to with hold any longer n gives in to his level pf patience n is all ready to be with Navya come wat may...while Navya maintains her sanity and even tho it is as hard as Anant for her to sustain this separation...she realizes the consequences of her giving in to her feelings as well...I suppose this was the impulse with which he ran after navya to her apartment door without thinking of the dynamics of problems that may arise... I didn't mean it in the 'mature logic' way, Shilpa...I meant stronger as in more courage in that moment...even if it was brought on by an impulse spurt given all the anguish and pressure in his mind...in that moment he showed determination...for whatever it's worth...obviously right now this cant' solve anything but long term, this would develop with time...ultimately they both WILL need courage...this is evident from the way Navya also talks of HIMMAT when talking about the decisions that she won't be able to take when it comes to her family...

to me this was a very significant scene with Anant trying to lock Navya n their moments together while Navya sees the need to let herself out to free Anant from the burdens that weighing on him due to her n his family. Yes he was trying to prolong the moment for however long he could...but it's so touching cuz of the way he's not even looking at her but there are there are those tears of anguish in his eyes again...there's a fierceness to those tears too...as if to say, "No, I CAN'T let you go...no matter what you say"...ziddi Anant but in such a touching manner.

Wat I absolutely loved in this scene was their silent conversation that happened right after Anant finished asking her the questions and it was just their teary eyes talking to each other... both knowing the answers yet yearning to hear/ speak em out...and u can see the restlessness of Navya as she comes to terms with wat had been thrown at her in those questions and she is no longer able to fight with herself as she storms out of the car...Maginificent!!! I loved that bit too...one of the major reasons this epi was so touching cuz they communicated their feelings so brilliantly through their eyes...you can feel the yearning, the intensity of their feelings, their heartbreak...they shared a few of these looks in the earlier car scene in the epi too...amazing nuances...they didn't have to SAY the words...many times it was also that they COULDN'T say anything much especially in Navya's case...so it was those long looks then that communicated everything...you feel so sad for both of them...and yes the moment when Navya finally has no choice but to turn and run out of the car...the build up of those feelings...very well executed moment indeed..

Shaheer is really a very good actor. And glad to see Soumya making an effort too.
The only sour point for me was the fact that Anant followed her to her doorstep. About time he started thinking about consequences. The fact that he did things without thinking is what has gotten them this far in the first place.
Wonder what he will ask CSB.

Thanks, Smitha!

Yes, the muskura do song is very touching...and fits these angsty/emotional scenes b/w them very well.

Agree with you about the last bit...I also didn't really think there was a need to drag out this convo to the point of him showing up at her doorstep again...ending it at the car scene would have been a highpoint of a very emotional epi...but I think it does reiterate once again that when it comes to Navya, he does find it difficult to let go...also this is probably being set up for Navya to say that line to him that was shown in Friday's precap...telling him not to get her into trouble with her parents...that will probably get through to him finally and he'll leave.

I'm also quite curious to see what he'll ask CSB...should be an interesting scene.

you've said it all that i would have and in a much better way.and ummm you already know my views from the CC.

See i told ya you'll definitely like the entire episode of yesterday's! It was the best so far...in terms of performance, especially from Shaheer's end and even Somya was so much better than last week.

Looking forward to today's show.:)

The touching episode and your sweet way of putting it in words made me go awww, Anu! This episode was such a spark of ingenuity on the CVs part, wasn't it? šŸ˜† I agree that they have shown the storyline moving with a precision especially in the last few days but it was just too good today (so much so that I can't stop talking about it >_>). Much obliged to them that no idiocy was sprung up on us unannounced. If there had been a scene with Rama gluing her ear to yet another door or Sa-gun day-dreaming about an un-Anantly Anant, I doubt the episode would have been as effective. It felt like, to sustain the flow of emotions, this was Crucial.Totally agree...they didn't kill the flow or momentum of the emotional scenes by adding jarring bhabhi crap in b/w...I'm also much obligedšŸ˜†

You pretty much covered every aspect of the episode awesomely šŸ‘ and I'm in agreement to all the points you covered, except for the bit about Ritz and Appy. I acknowledge the fact that Appy has taken a U-turn but her defending of Anant later is slightly inconsistent with what happened earlier. Initially, she was hesitant to send Navya with Anant while Ritz was the one who saw that going with him was indeed what Navya wished but strangely, later, Appy showed surety while Ritz became skeptic...
Maybe Appy had time to reflect on everything while they waited together... I think Appy too had started to realize like Ritz in that scene that the depth of the connection b/w A and N is far more than they realized...and she had also seen Anant's outburst at Harry, let's not forget...she knows what drove Anant to that point...so somewhere she's mulled over these thoughts in her mind anyways and that is what came to the forefront in that convo with Ritz...Appy's hurt and anger all mainly had to with N HIDING her and A's relationship from them...and that had largely died by that time so she was able to look at the situation more objectively.

Oh I just can't stop thanking the CVs (in my mind) for maintaining the freshness of the show. The subtle, if-you-blink-you-will-miss-it moments make it so much different from the K serials as others have pointed out. Totally...it is these very "if you blink you'll miss them" moments that make this show really worth watching to me...there is a freshness...and then ofcourse the surprisingly sensitive treatment shown to the scenes...that is what is so nice to watch.

(Btw, Soumya has SOME chops! I've already written another huge rant on the car scene today in another post [EDIT: specifically, in JZee's post. I confess I'm saying this after seeing JZee's comment here] so I'm not going to repeat what I said there. >_>)

Special mention to Shaheer and Soumya both, who I found were equally good at conveying their emotions. If I were to pick my own favourite scenes... The knowing look on Ritz' face when it dawns on her that Navya doesn't want to leave. I also loved it when Anant, slightly breathless, realises that Navya stopped in her tracks; it looked like his heart had stopped at that moment at the sign of a tiny ray of light in all the bleakness. She doesn't want to leave without talking to him! šŸ˜† LOL yes Soumya does have SOME chops...today I also felt she did very well...she didn't let the epi down...Shaheer was obviously superb but Soumya held her own too and really made you feel for Navya and just give her a hug and tell her that everything will be ok...to inspire those protective feelings in the audience as well is testament to her acting abilities surely :-)

And I agree about that expression of Anant's as well...god there were just TOO many nuances in this epi...so hard to cover everything...it's like you want to talk about EVERY moment after a point, haina?šŸ˜†

Another favourite: Anant wiping off her tears... & new tears flow afresh. I guess we weren't the only ones moved by this heartwarming gesture. šŸ˜† The love in their eyes was evident and given the circumstances, I Love Yous would have been actually out of place and weren't really required. Totally agree on what you said about that.
& I'm glad that Anant didn't feed her some cheesy line implying that he has indeed READ HER EYES. The scene really went in the proverbial sense; silence said it all, for now. I'm sure that some time later, they would like to hear the 3 words from each other but right now, they need to tackle this. That moment was sooo touching...if I was a more emotional person, I'd have cried...but I was very touched for sure...and I'm SO glad that they didn't ruin the moment with any cheesy dialogues about aankhein or whatever...that moment was just about the emotions that were expressed through their eyes...through that gesture...awesome acting and direction...yes the time for the 3 words will come later I guess but somehow I'm FAR more touched that they AREN'T saying that directly...their actions and the way they look at each other is far more touching.

Agreed, these 2 are only 19 years but they have started to show maturity. Gone are the days when the hero and heroine beg and plead and plan on leaving their families for each other. If I hadn't been so swept into their moment with them, I'd have probably literally applauded the moment Navya said she won't leave her family. And that is the interesting part naa...they are teenagers who are dealing with this rush of first love...but at the same time they DO show maturity and don't suddenly forget their families...yes I too felt very bad for them in that moment...you get swept up in the moment as you said and you almost do want Navya to agree...but she did the right thing...she didn't lose her head...also probably easier for her cuz she isn't getting tortured by an Addams family nightmarešŸ˜†...oh and before I forget to mention it...I LOVED Anant's outburst about how they didn't do ANYTHING wrong...that really made me awww...they really haven't done anything wrong, I agree...yes there have been impulses but they never crossed any line...I felt really sorry for Anant there...bechara

The biggest Awww moment of today:
"Agar main saath nahin rahunga...toh bhi saath bitaaye lamhon ko yaad karke hasogi? I--d--iot" šŸ˜†šŸ¤£
LOL what a moment that was...to laugh there in the middle of such an emotional scene...the emotional, affectionate yet chiding tone with which he says that to her...touched my heart...Shaheer enacted that so well.

I was rather prompt to watch the Monday epi, having been missing for a fortnight, and then did a character growth sketch of my own because yesterday's episode was phenomenal that way... I like this show's Monday episodes šŸ˜†

Thing is, looking back in retrospect now, at the changes in Anant and Navya, more in Anant which were either not always well portrayed, or not well finished when we saw them there and then, it all seems to make sense now as a string of events. Nothing seems to fast, or too slow, and every part of Anant's hyper boy mode has found justification as just another side to his character which was unraveled by Navya's advent... And although we did put a lot of him down to being the boy and flying high on new found somethings, this growth in the plot and in his character since his counter realization on the BB court last night of the camp has very finely justified the less probable seeming shades of his character.

Navya on the hand, maintains some of her consistencies in a constant manner. Its interesting to note how she, now that she's in Anant's shoes of remedying the 'mistake' made, has actually done better justice to objectively distinguishing right/wrong... and how her resolution, despite all her public displays of misery are actually, in some way, stronger than Anant. Perhaps, both her gloom made public and stronger resolution is attributed to the fact that unlike Anant she didn't just try to shrug of the problem to resolve it, but actually sees it in the eye and realizes how much it matters. Anant on the other hand had this quick elevation to maturity about the matter in that car ride, when he saw her taking the resisting role. It dawned upon him the futility of he attempts he's been making, and now she is, and in the same light he's going all tum mere bina kese reh sakti ho jab main nahin reh sakta!

All in all, wonderful stuff. Like you said, this show is actually beginning to make more sense as it progresses, and I'm coming to have faith in the CV's having an actual plan - sigh! Hope they keep it up!

xx

*edit*

ps: Here's the link to the post I made on the character growth in yesterday's episode, Anant Navya, and others =) https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/navya/1700631/and-so-the-characters-grow

@bold: Fantastic points, Jzee! Very well said...you've summed it up perfectly...indeed the entire picture has now started to come together...Anant's hyper behavior (although not well executed sometimes...random waves latkoing out of an auto was REALLY stretching it) but all in all it makes sense...Navya pulled out this different side of his character inadvertently...Overall she too is guilty in a sense of not thinking things through in the larger picture..."maine socha hi nahin" as she said...but now when she is forced to ponder at last, despite her constant misery and crying, she has made a strong and sensible decision for sure.

As for Anant, totally what you said on the last bolded bit...he's experienced an elevation to that level of maturity cuz he's already gone though the phase of trying to forget, distance himself...and it hasn't worked...Navya still has not dealt with it to that level...I just loved the almost matter of fact logical way in which he laid it all in front of her too...if you love my company, if you love talking to me, how will you live without me? What will you do without my phone calls, my messages? You idiotšŸ˜†...Navya will realize the truth of this with time even though her decision is correct for now...and she has such a supportive, loving family...but she will struggle very soon with this resolution she's made too.

Oh thanks for the link! Will just check it out :-)

... navya showed her strength again when she stood back rather than walking away with ritz-appy (as is usually the case)n giving ananth a chance to explain...
the car scene...was touching, brought tears to the eyes, Shaheer never makes it look likes hes trying to be ananth, he actually is!! n Soumya was good too..her helplessness n the realisation of the bigger things, n its only when he poured out his sorrows that she realised that there r things much beyond her liking to be with him, to get his calls,sms...like family...what struck me here was that ananth, though being largely the impulsive types..was the first to think big, of their future together...generally, from what ive seen around me, this is what gals think of first when in a relationship...
well, what more to say, this is one show that is getting better by the day...with these two touching our hearts with their innocent love n the adorable five friends bringing out some subtle nuances of true friendship , for the first time on tv i guess ...hope the saguns n the hitlers will never take the charm away ...n u keep the amazing posts TILS coming in ...as always!!

Thanks so much, Supria :-) Glad to read your comments too :-)

@bold: That was deffo an interesting bit...Anant has already struggled with trying to stay away from her and he hasn't managed to...the moment he sees her tears, he is helplessly pulled towards her and wants to console her in any way he can...he's realized that...that is part of the realization that he can't stay away, can't live without her...I think Anant understands Navya's feelings for him better than she herself understands them in some ways...it is those very feelings of hers which she expresses so innocently yet so sweetly that pull him in...she herself doesn't realize just how much...so he is trying to step up and look at the bigger picture for both of them cuz Navya isn't able to at this point...she doesn't have reason to yet...but circumstances will eventually bring her to that point too...I'm intrigued to see how that happens.

Yesterday's episode was excellent and fabulous as mentioned by others.

I would just like to add few points here:
1. After returning from the picnic Anant suddenly felt the pressure by his Dada about him succeeding his Dada's place and about his engagement with Shagun... which was the last thing Anant was expecting, and so the pressure / pain on Anant was more intense than Navya's. He did not even get the time to enjoy his newly found love and his experiences from the picnic.
On the other hand Navya has not felt similar pressure from her family (till now they have not sensed anything wrong with Navya). Her sadness after returning from the picnic was firstly due to Anant ignoring her (for reasons unknown to her), and then gradually discovering that Anant's conservative family will have problem accepting the person Anant love's, since they donot believe on personal choice.
TILL NOW NAVYA DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT ANANT'S ENGAGEMENT WITH SHAGUN!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, although both are heart broken, Anant is more hyper because of the the added stress of his engagement, due to which he may loose Navya for good - During the car conversation, I think this "engagement" thing was disturbing him very much- and he didnot know how to break the news to Navya, and that is why he was more intense in his emotional/ verbal outbreak.

You've made an excellent point herešŸ‘...I totally agree with you on this too...Anant is going through more pressures cuz of his creepy family...that is why he has a greater sense of urgency cuz he feels Navya slipping away...that feeling of losing her is something he isn't being able to bear...that is what is making him burst out more and even show more of his ziddi side to her.

Navya, like you said...was more upset largely cuz she saw him ignoring her after the picnic...she doesn't have a creepy family to deal with either. For her, she hasn't fully experienced that feeling of LOSING him yet...when she does, she will be more heartbroken.

2. The entire episode proved the marvellous qualities displayed by the two (even in their worst emotional situation) about their good upbringing "parvaresh" (Excellent message by the CV's to the present generation). Both of them were well behaved, composed, responsible with their dialogues (not being dis-respectful to any seniors, or to each other) and actions...Yes, they have shown that balance very well...they are in their worst emotional state like you said, but still haven't done anything outlandish to go against their upbringing
and one of my favourites - even in such a vulnerable and mental turmoil - Navya had the power to remove her hand, where Anant wanted to touch her (it was a desperate moment, where the best comfort would be , perhaps to hug each other), but that is so... unique about this - A PERFECT BLEND BETWEEN TRADITION AND MODERN - when one looses the mind, the other knows what to do, and none of them ACTUALLY GOT CARRIED AWAY, their hearts were above greed, temptation and attraction. Very well saidšŸ‘...I totally agree with you...I felt sorry for Anant...but I could still understand why Navya did that...she didn't get carried away...it is that back and forth warring b/w the pull they feel for each other but at the same time don't fully get carried away either...Anant is more impulsive of the two but Navya has kept her head in the most emotional of moments b/w them.
