The touching episode and your sweet way of putting it in words made me go awww, Anu! This episode was such a spark of ingenuity on the CVs part, wasn't it? 😆 I agree that they have shown the storyline moving with a precision especially in the last few days but it was just too good today (so much so that I can't stop talking about it >_>). Much obliged to them that no idiocy was sprung up on us unannounced. If there had been a scene with Rama gluing her ear to yet another door or Sa-gun day-dreaming about an un-Anantly Anant, I doubt the episode would have been as effective. It felt like, to sustain the flow of emotions, this was Crucial.

You pretty much covered every aspect of the episode awesomely 👏 and I'm in agreement to all the points you covered, except for the bit about Ritz and Appy. I acknowledge the fact that Appy has taken a U-turn but her defending of Anant later is slightly inconsistent with what happened earlier. Initially, she was hesitant to send Navya with Anant while Ritz was the one who saw that going with him was indeed what Navya wished but strangely, later, Appy showed surety while Ritz became skeptic...
Maybe Appy had time to reflect on everything while they waited together...

Oh I just can't stop thanking the CVs (in my mind) for maintaining the freshness of the show. The subtle, if-you-blink-you-will-miss-it moments make it so much different from the K serials as others have pointed out.

(Btw, Soumya has SOME chops! I've already written another huge rant on the car scene today in another post [EDIT: specifically, in JZee's post. I confess I'm saying this after seeing JZee's comment here] so I'm not going to repeat what I said there. >_>)

Special mention to Shaheer and Soumya both, who I found were equally good at conveying their emotions. If I were to pick my own favourite scenes... The knowing look on Ritz' face when it dawns on her that Navya doesn't want to leave. I also loved it when Anant, slightly breathless, realises that Navya stopped in her tracks; it looked like his heart had stopped at that moment at the sign of a tiny ray of light in all the bleakness. She doesn't want to leave without talking to him! 😆
Another favourite: Anant wiping off her tears... & new tears flow afresh. I guess we weren't the only ones moved by this heartwarming gesture. 😆 The love in their eyes was evident and given the circumstances, I Love Yous would have been actually out of place and weren't really required. Totally agree on what you said about that.
& I'm glad that Anant didn't feed her some cheesy line implying that he has indeed READ HER EYES. The scene really went in the proverbial sense; silence said it all, for now. I'm sure that some time later, they would like to hear the 3 words from each other but right now, they need to tackle this.

Agreed, these 2 are only 19 years but they have started to show maturity. Gone are the days when the hero and heroine beg and plead and plan on leaving their families for each other. If I hadn't been so swept into their moment with them, I'd have probably literally applauded the moment Navya said she won't leave her family.

And I loved that they TALKED...it was a PROPER conversation...about all their hurt, the struggles, their heartbreak,...the bit when Navya talks about how she never thought about anything...and now she's realizing that she never even wants to be in a place where she would have to fight with her family for anything...that she doesn't have that courage in her...so she would never ask HIM to fight with his family for her her either... Absolutely. Couldn't have put it better. This part was the cherry on the cake. She doesn't want to sacrifice her family and it's not her selfishness either so how can she expect that from him? On the contrary, this showed how considerate and selfless she is. Papa ka Navya, you shined today. Now I'm just waiting for the day Anant thinks before he acts. Wish he didn't go up with her but yeah, he was probably too bechain. Though, like you said,
.I see a stronger Anant emerging bit by bit...there's a ways to go still though. WORD.

All in all, fingers crossed for another visual treat like this. 😆

EDIT:
The biggest Awww moment of today:
"Agar main saath nahin rahunga...toh bhi saath bitaaye lamhon ko yaad karke hasogi? I--d--iot" 😆🤣

Well written Nur, like always!

I was rather prompt to watch the Monday epi, having been missing for a fortnight, and then did a character growth sketch of my own because yesterday's episode was phenomenal that way... I like this show's Monday episodes 😆

Thing is, looking back in retrospect now, at the changes in Anant and Navya, more in Anant which were either not always well portrayed, or not well finished when we saw them there and then, it all seems to make sense now as a string of events. Nothing seems to fast, or too slow, and every part of Anant's hyper boy mode has found justification as just another side to his character which was unraveled by Navya's advent... And although we did put a lot of him down to being the boy and flying high on new found somethings, this growth in the plot and in his character since his counter realization on the BB court last night of the camp has very finely justified the less probable seeming shades of his character.

Navya on the hand, maintains some of her consistencies in a constant manner. Its interesting to note how she, now that she's in Anant's shoes of remedying the 'mistake' made, has actually done better justice to objectively distinguishing right/wrong... and how her resolution, despite all her public displays of misery are actually, in some way, stronger than Anant. Perhaps, both her gloom made public and stronger resolution is attributed to the fact that unlike Anant she didn't just try to shrug of the problem to resolve it, but actually sees it in the eye and realizes how much it matters. Anant on the other hand had this quick elevation to maturity about the matter in that car ride, when he saw her taking the resisting role. It dawned upon him the futility of he attempts he's been making, and now she is, and in the same light he's going all tum mere bina kese reh sakti ho jab main nahin reh sakta!

All in all, wonderful stuff. Like you said, this show is actually beginning to make more sense as it progresses, and I'm coming to have faith in the CV's having an actual plan - sigh! Hope they keep it up!

xx

@ nureat01 and @aimin...wish...wish...wish ...I could comment like u guys...but I am completely loss of words...speechless. Such was the greatness of the episode on 6th june, 2011. Pure creativity, that is highly appreciated in terms of art, conceptualization, characters, direction, acting, and executing. Need we say anything more???????????
PS: and to think of it, after watching the june 10th promo, I just did not want to watch the episode, but inner instinct dragged me to the television and ofourse my 2 and half year old daughter , who said 'mama, dev babu'.

Hi again Anu...was waiting to read ur TIL as it brings out some of those small thoughts that r left unsaid by the cvs...as uve said ...just loved the proective shield that ritz n appy formed for navi n ananths look..when i was watching that what came to my mind was that navya is real lucky here, she not only has a supportive n understanding family but also such great friends...ananth does have only ranbir for support n mabye hopefully his bro... n family!!!???
... navya showed her strength again when she stood back rather than walking away with ritz-appy (as is usually the case)n giving ananth a chance to explain...
the car scene...was touching, brought tears to the eyes, Shaheer never makes it look likes hes trying to be ananth, he actually is!! n Soumya was good too..her helplessness n the realisation of the bigger things, n its only when he poured out his sorrows that she realised that there r things much beyond her liking to be with him, to get his calls,sms...like family...what struck me here was that ananth, though being largely the impulsive types..was the first to think big, of their future together...generally, from what ive seen around me, this is what gals think of first when in a relationship...
well, what more to say, this is one show that is getting better by the day...with these two touching our hearts with their innocent love n the adorable five friends bringing out some subtle nuances of true friendship , for the first time on tv i guess ...hope the saguns n the hitlers will never take the charm away ...n u keep the amazing posts TILS coming in ...as always!!

Yesterday's episode was excellent and fabulous as mentioned by others.
I would just like to add few points here:
1. After returning from the picnic Anant suddenly felt the pressure by his Dada about him succeeding his Dada's place and about his engagement with Shagun... which was the last thing Anant was expecting, and so the pressure / pain on Anant was more intense than Navya's. He did not even get the time to enjoy his newly found love and his experiences from the picnic.
On the other hand Navya has not felt similar pressure from her family (till now they have not sensed anything wrong with Navya). Her sadness after returning from the picnic was firstly due to Anant ignoring her (for reasons unknown to her), and then gradually discovering that Anant's conservative family will have problem accepting the person Anant love's, since they donot believe on personal choice.
TILL NOW NAVYA DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT ANANT'S ENGAGEMENT WITH SHAGUN!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, although both are heart broken, Anant is more hyper because of the the added stress of his engagement, due to which he may loose Navya for good - During the car conversation, I think this "engagement" thing was disturbing him very much- and he didnot know how to break the news to Navya, and that is why he was more intense in his emotional/ verbal outbreak.
2. The entire episode proved the marvellous qualities displayed by the two (even in their worst emotional situation) about their good upbringing "parvaresh" (Excellent message by the CV's to the present generation). Both of them were well behaved, composed, responsible with their dialogues (not being dis-respectful to any seniors, or to each other) and actions...
and one of my favourites - even in such a vulnerable and mental turmoil - Navya had the power to remove her hand, where Anant wanted to touch her (it was a desperate moment, where the best comfort would be , perhaps to hugg each other), but that is so... unique about this - A PERFECT BLEND BETWEEN TRADITION AND MODERN - when one looses the mind, the other knows what to do, and none of them ACTUALLY GOT CARRIED AWAY, their hearts were above greed, temptation and attraction.
I also admire the CV's attempt to keep the communication on between the two (it reflects on their promises of a modern thought) - this will remove the typical mindless misunderstandings seen in most of the serials.
BRAVO to the script writer, BRAVO to the director and BRAVO to Shoumya, Shaheer and the rest of the team - an EXCELLENT GIFT TO THE VIEWERS so far. THANKS A MILLION.
