The twin or not thing has really been exploding, I was thinking it would be interesting if we could make a sort of master post where after each day's ep at least we could evaluate what is likely to happen.
Personally, I would really not want the twin thing to happen - changed Sameer makes more sense in the show's plot as opposed to a completely new person. Unless we have to see maybe the fake Sameer getting married to Meher and real Sameer rukawoing her shaadi (again)😆
The fact that they're addressing this possible issue so early on is telling, It is not implausible of Purab to suspect that this isn't Sameer, though usually in shows whatever we are led to believe is usually proved to be the opposite in the end. Hence I'm of the belief that if this mamla is resolved too fast = twin Sameer but if Purab drags it very long = real Sameer albeit possibly brainwashed.
Some issues and what they may suggest:
1. Ignoring Meher -
Real: I would agree with some of the comments on other threads that this could possibly be because he is angry that she was indirectly the reason he was shot and captured in the first place. While it isn't at all her fault, he might be led to believe that she is still responsible.
Twin: Not get too close to her, otherwise if she starts asking too many things he might slip up somewhere.
It is possible that they tortured all these information about Sameer's life out of him so that his twin could go in his place. But some things seem very trivial for him to randomly tell them. Like in what situation exactly would Sameer be telling them "Oh patange sirf Meher udate thi, main nahin"??
2. Being very aloof -
Real: Honestly I don't see what's the problem with this. He made mention of the fact that he was held captive in solitary confinement and so on and brutally tortured. There's no reason why the man could not want to stay alone all the time. He's probably super uncomfortable with all the apnapan and love everyone is showering on him.
Twin: Same reason as staying away from Meher. Mingle too much and you might get caught out.
3. Throwing away the water angrily at mention of "dushmaan"
Real: Maybe he's angry? Doesn't want to be reminded of his days there?
Twin: Self-explanatory.
4. Not saying anything about Purab
Real: Maybe he wants revenge. Big time.
Twin: Maybe he doesn't care lol. Or maybe he just wants to mess with him.
5. Precap
I think in the precap he was about to namaz (muslim prayer) while Meher was walking up?
Real: I really have no idea. Maybe he just picked it up over border?
Twin: Makes more sense.
All these assume that the real Sameer has returned without being brainwashed at all. That part of the story wouldn't make much sense, even Sartaj was so happy at the news. I'm guessing he could have very well been sent back after months of mental torture - causing him to perhaps changed his viewpoint about everyone. You really can't tell what a man can or cannot do when pushed to his extremes.
