Rashmi Desai to apologise for faking ankle injury on 'Nach Baliye'

Mumbai: 'Nach Baliye' shoot has just begun and controversies have already started surrounding it. It was earlier reported that Rashmi Desai has twisted her ankle and will be taking rest for a week. The show's team had made a special case for the television actress and withheld the information from the other contestants on the show. However, things went for a toss when Nakuul Mehta who is in LA shared few pictures with Rashmi on his social networking account.

After the press finding out Rashmi was in LA with her pictures all over the net, sources reveal that Ekta Kapoor told Rashmi that she would have to go on stage and admit that she had lied about her injury and that she made a mistake. Apparently after this all the contestants found out Rashmi's injury was an act, all staged a walk out on the gala episode.

A source reveals, "Shooting had to be stopped. The situation was bad and then Preity stepped in to calm the situation down and made all the contestants sit back in there seats and told them that this is an awful lie but the production knows the situation. She supports all the contestants and also said that this couple should leave but powers are beyond her. For now Rashmi is back in the Nach house."

Participants have alleged that the duo has been adopting unfair means to win in the compatibility tests. During the shoot on Wednesday night, there was a heated exchange between Karishma-Upen and the other contestants, who have demanded that action be taken against the couple. Says a source, "They claim that Upen has been storing the answers to his compatibility tasks in the cell phone, which was found on the sets. He would leave the phone in a predecided location, away from prying eyes and Karishma would access it to figure out the clues to the given tasks." During the compatibility rounds, couples are barred from interacting with each other and use of cell phones is prohibited. It is said that Upen aroused suspicion as he spent long hours in the washroom at frequent intervals. A unit hand reveals, "Karishma and Upen have known each other only for a few months, but have still been getting full marks in the tests. The other couples, some of whom have been married for decades, have failed to give all right answers. This made them suspicious of foul play." The channel spokesperson and makers were unavailable for comment. -
