I don't know about you all but I am really offended by Tanaz-Bhaktyaar for showing us stupid dance forms and terrible jumping acts week after week and if anyone should go out it should be them. Even before Gauri-Hiten. Yes! You all heard me right. Dance is not always about steps. I agree Gauri was given easy steps but she emoted well this time. Hiten was good too. They are not my favorites but I definitely think they were better than Shweta Kawatra, Tanaz & Bhaktyaar.

tanaaz's dance whatever it may be didnt have a flow of movements...
bakhtyaar had the energy level of kinds dancing around him..

tanaaz was telling that she asked mini : plzzz mujhe indian karna hain..plz mujhe tandav karna hain..blah blah blah..

i understand dance, im not hindu and i dont know what each dance calls for.. i didnt knw thandav was lord shiva's..

is tandav the same as rundrathandavam we say in tamil??i thought so...

anyhow...mini knows her jodi's limits and is playing with them..

about gauri hiten.. this was their best performance till date..
hiten's performance was really good.. i thought so..

i found some of gauri's hand movemests a little jerky..

anyhow..since i dont know mujras.. i dont have anything to say on shweta kawatra's performance..except that somehting went wrong but not terribly wrong..

I have not seen mujras in real life either😛. As far as I know Mujras are based on Kathak dance. At least that's what I have seen in movies. Shweta Kawatra started it well but then she couldn't show any ada after that. I thought she forgot some steps in the middle or she was trying to remember her next step. Manav-Shweta are one of my fav. couple. But I think their choreogrpaher should have corrected Shweta before as she has the potential to do it. I know she can do it. Saroj Khan for sure knows Kathak best and not other classical forms. So she complimented Tanaaz unnecessarily and kept on calling it Tandav was the biggest insult to the Nataraj she presented to Manav because Lord Shiva in the Nataraj form is Tandav.

I agree Shweta hammed this time, but Manav more than made up for it. That was the second best performance i've seen on nb 2 behind obviously the blindfold by hussain tina. Only if they were allowed add more points to shweta for manav's performance because he deserved more than the 10s. The way he danced with the expressions was sick too was sick, amazing.

I agree. Manav deserved more than 30 because some other couple got unnecessary praise and points and together that added upto be one of the highest scores🤢. I am so sad that I won't get to watch Manav next time.😭😭

I had posted this review in some other thread, so I will just copy paste it here:

After having watched the performance I just have to say that Hu and Manav danced like twins today. Man they both were awesome. With their HOT looks and bods and their dancing toes, they surely danced their way to glory! For me 2 of the best performances.
Enjoyment wise however, I enjoyed Hussain and Yash the most!!
I loved it how Shakti called upon Hussain by referring to him as the Handsome Hunk!

Yash Tonk was extremely impressive. Man, what an attitude. We have seen a few songs on NB2 that demanded attitude, and out of all those, Yash just took the cake with this performance and yes the cherry on top as well. I agree with Malaika, that pout did everything to the performance. Before the start of NB2, I was expecting Yash to give some outstanding performances but it was Gauri who surprised me as she was leading their performances. In Solo however, Yash gave what I had been looking for from him. Gouri was very graceful today as usual, alas she blanked out and lost out on some accolades for a good performance. (Btw, she was looking the most beautiful contestant today, IMO. Though overall, Malaika was the best looking female, she should just stick to saris, I loved her today). But, I will say one last time, it was Yash's day to shine today. And the guy is so funny. As someone else mentioned Yash consoling Gouri and reuqesting not to rely on him was hilarious.

I actually enjoyed Bakhtyar's performance as well till he hadn't opened his big mouth to say he's more than perfect!! That's one of the reasons I can never bring myself to like him. For that matter even Tanaaz seems to be annoying me a lot these days. As for her performance today, I didn't like it much. It was different yes, but not enjoyable for me. And today everytime they showed her in the audience I cringed. I wished she had changed her costume after the performance.
Btw, that little girl Vishishtha in Bakhtyar's dance was darned cute and the way she smiled and blushed at the compliments was chooo chweet.
Tina, boy oh boy, that performance was depressing to say the least. Everything about that performance was dark and gloomy, Tina was soooo into her character, it was frightening. A few more seconds and I would have had some serious depression myself. But a very courageous effort that paid results. She was tied with Tanaaz for the best female performer of the night!

Shweta K. I honeslty didn't enjoy her performance today. There was no enjoyment factor. But it was very very sad to see them leave. Shweta took it very bravely and it was so cute the way Manav broke the silence with "Clap Guys"

And finally Hiten Gauri. Yes their best performance so far. Gauri's performance for the first time, I found more enjoyable than Hiten's. Usually it is Hiten who makes the performance tolerable. But in solo performances they both did well, but as the scores say nothing extra-ordinary. A good effort though!

Overall, a rocking episode, some mindblowing performances and a very emotional elimination at the end. 😭 I knew the result before I watched the performances coz I had read the update by smallwonder, but I felt it really ironic the way they said "Aaj humare best performer ko milenge judges ki taraf se Natraj, aur ek jodi ko hona padega eliminate" Both the results pointed to jodi no 3, whose NB2's journey came to an end!!

And now I want to see a Y-G and Hu-Ti final (though my gut feeling says Y-G will meet S-M's end next week)



P.S. Reactions wise, I liked the way Hiten and Yash stood up after Hussain's performance and at the end when Malaika and Kunal commented that Manav was better than Yash, Yash was sooooooo sporting and it felt good to see such comraderie between participants. Also Hussain's tension at before and right after Tina's performance was really cute. I felt really bad for Manav and Shweta. Manav was clapping and cheering at the end of her performance and the way his expressions changed after he realised was so sad.

Thanks Sound. That is a beautiful take on all performances. It matches mine. Now I would like to see Hussain-Tina & Yash-Gauri in finals. I won't be able to take more of Tanaaz-Bhaktyaar and Saroj Khan's unnecessary compliments to them 🤢

Maya, I just re-read your analysis on the first page and yes we both had the same feelings to a very large extent. (I felt Gauri P's score was justified compared to other performances, like you all the judges felt she deserved an 8 as well)

I know you don't like Bakhtyar and neither do I. But seems like we both enjoyed his performance this time. 😛 If only he could keep that mouth of his shut at all times on or off the stage.

But yes, it's time to see off H-G and T-B and quite frankly I don't care what order they leave in. But I desparately want to see H-T and Y-G in the final round. I want to see the males competing and then the females competing and then those 2 jodis competing. That will be the most fitting end to what remains of this contest.

^Same here. Now, that Manav and Shweta are gone, I want to see Hussain-Tina and Yash-Gauri in the finals. These two couples have always shown variety in their performances and they're not overhyped like Tanaaz-Bakhtyaar. And more importantly, all four of them are awesome dancers.

I have not watched Shakti-Sai in season one. After watching this week's dance I presume they are not good dancers. There anchoring was satisfactory.

Hussain- He is one of the best dancers on NB stage. His energy was commendable. I felt his steps at some places were repetitive still very entertaining. 9/10

Tanaaz- In the opening scene she was vacillating and when she opened her eyes and started dancing there was no fire. The steps were really good but it was unfinished at some places and her face failed to show the roudra bhaav. May be judges appreciated her because this form was not used so far. I personally was not impressed. Being a choreographer Saroj Khan should know that Tandav is Lord Shiva's dance not Kali Mata's. She has more knowledge about Kathak but not these classical forms. 7/10

Gauri - For the first time on NB stage she oozed energy. Her choreographer nattily gave her easy steps which she performed extremely well. She deserved a little more than 24. 8/10

Gouri Tonk- She is the most graceful dancer among the existing dancers. Her performance started off very nicely and beautiful but somewhere in the middle she forgot the expression. I felt she was missing something. 7/10

Shweta K- I was very impressed with her start but then I was just shocked. She looked uninterested and thinking about what to do next. She was performing Kathak based dance and her hands were not even moving properly. I am so disappointed. 5/10

Tina- This is what is called aggressive yet expressive dancing. Together or separate this jodi is always the best. I loved the concept. She didn't have too many steps but she showed her pain through emoting. 10/10👏

Bhaktyaar- I enjoyed his dance this time. It was not too aggressive though some of the steps were not suitable still it was not too much onto the face. Good to see that he has toned down his energy. Now he needs to learn humility like Malaika said. 8/10

Hiten- He was good not best still good. Both husband and wife are a bit weak. They get tired fast. I liked them separately. 8/10

Yash- This guy is funny and it shows in his dance. He enjoys what he does. I loved it. 10/10👏

Manav- This guy is my favorite. He has never disappointed me on NB stage. He got the ultimate compliment from Malaika and I agree with her. I can't believe that he is out of the competiton😭. 10/10👏

Husain-Very energetic and nice steps.I wud have given the same points 2 him but I too felt the steps were a little repetitive at times but all in all gud.9/10

Tanaz- She was gud but even I was confused what form she was in,kali mata or some shiv's form bcoz that dance is lord shiva's dance form.I too agree with that.I was not very much impressed by her.8/10

gauri Pradhan- My God!!!!!What dance man.Every thing was perfect except the scores.She was looking sexy ,hot and so beautiful ,just as the dance required her to be.She was so enjoying herself and her dance movements were also very gud.She had so much grace.Cant tell u .I m still in the shock and it was a pleasant 1,of course.She shud have got 9,what ever people may say-9/10

Gouri tonk- She is a very gud dancer and she was gud also but yes ,I agree that the enrgy sha had in the starting was lost in midway.All in all a nice performance-8/10

Shweta K- My God,why the hell did she chose 2 dance on 'Dil cheese kya hai'.When Aishwarya rai received flak for her mujra in Umrao jaan, how can she even think of dancing on that.It was absolutely a bad choice .Her choreo needs a bashing.Bade bade actors fail ho jaate hain aise dance karne mein ,how can she succeed.Her hand movements were not up2 the mark.Nothing was gud-5/10

Tina - was very gud as the ghost kind of thing.Her expressios wre gud and she did her best.9/10

Hiten - oh he was perfect.His choreo was very gud this time.Absolutely no mistakes and he danced very well.9/10

Bakhtiyar- no extra ordinary steps.We know he's a gr8 dancer but now we want something else somethimg special 2 seefrom bakhtiyar.He shud have given some other song and more different and difficult dances.I was seeing more of the kids than him.9/10

Yash- He was gr8 but didnt deserve 10 though.He was graceful and enjoying all the way ,he had that attitude and all that.A gud perfromance9/10

manav- My God he was the best that day.Every thing was perfect that day.His steps ,choreography,.He danced so well.I think he was better than bakhtiyar .No mistakes at all.He deserved 10 and got 10.My take 10/10
