05/17 Highlights: Zain and Aditi Steal the Show - ADHM Returns!

What an amazing episode, it was heartbreakingly beautiful and everything you wanted to see once Neil learned the truth of Avni's sacrifice. The way Neil went down on his knees and hugged Avni tightly, the emotions that went into this scene it was too good! Like expected Avni has begged Neil not to tell anyone about Prakash killing her mother and I am okay with this, for me it was most important for Neil to know because he was the one who could never understand why Avni made such a sacrifice that did not include him. For Neil it was never about falling out of love with Avni because he has always loved her but he could never understand why she broke her promise and did not trust him enough to protect her, now he knows why and it kills him to know what she endured. I seriously loved the return of ADHM, don't get me wrong I love TDPS and wish it was used more but ADHM this belongs to AvNeil! Neil laying his head on Avni's lap wishing this was all a bad dream, you and me both Neil but sadly the bitter truth is there is only one episode left of this beautiful pairing!

As expected Neil only plans to go through with this marriage because of Avni, he is taking it as his punishment for ever hurting the love of his life. The scene where Neil holds the broken mangalsutra and prays that Avni never shed another tear as he repents for his actions and pines away for her, beautifully done. It is just sad Shweta cannot see her son's misery, its clear to anyone Neil is not happy but she chooses to live in her delusion but thankfully Prakash is not like that. Prakash is seriously one of the best written characters that both new and old writers have done justice to, he cannot see his children suffering and now BOTH are shielding him from a harsh truth. Loved his scene with Avni, what Avni could never find in her own blood relations she found in the Khannas!

Always expect the unexpected in Naamkarann and keep expectations low. I thought the sangeet would be torture but we got one of the most beautiful dream sequences with AvNeil, they seriously slay in chemistry! Zain just nails the transition when it comes to the look of happiness and peace in his eyes thinking of Avni to the look of sadness, distance and forced smiles when with Mitali. Mitali you are living in a delusional bubble, stop asking Neil if he is sure when you can clearly see his heart belongs to someone else! Neil was the most miserable and yes this episode was solely on a Neil who is repenting, who is hurting without someone he loves more than life itself.

Basically it was an episode not to be missed! I just wish there was more time and we got to see Avni and Neil have the happiness they deserve, both have put themselves through so much and really their love for each other has always been selfless until the very end.
